Being Anzati, Ayva has lived for hundreds and will continue to live for thousands of years in her quest for "soup".

Ayva often likes to tell her friends about the first time she took soup as a mercenary. A short hundred years after her birth she rashly left Anzat in hopes of dining on the the plentiful soups in the galaxy. She had joined the Galactic Republic in year -718 and assisted them in their attack on the Mandalorians in their home sector. Having long heard about the stories about the strength of Mandalorians she wished to taste their soup to see if it could quench her hunger. The engagement left her satisfied, for a while, but in the end she left the system in search for more exotic soup.
