Cael Arcturus Graigan, born on Day 30 Year -28, is a freelancer, businessman, artist, murderer, smuggler, pilot, ex-mercenary, and former sergeant in the Imperial military. Once a proud Corellian, Cael contracted the Metamorphosis Plague. This virus activated latent Anzati genes that partially rewrote his DNA, resulting in Anzati characteristics becoming dominant.

Early Years
Born at the top of Corellian society, Cael was the only child of Haetham and Reilia Graigan. Haetham maintained tight control of the Corellian arms market as a result of their corporation, Graigan Arms, "acquiring" small arms manufacturers to bring under their umbrella. Haetham's position as CEO ensured this near-monopoly and spun it into deals with a number of militaries across the galaxy. However, when Cael was fifteen years old, Reilia and Haetham divorced following a public scandal that brought to light arms deals with criminal factions. Though the company eventually recovered, the family's reputation would forever be stained.

Cael Graigan, the only son of Belenus and Anacea Graigan, was born on day 22 of year -32, in the waning years of the Galactic Republic.

At age sixteen, Cael became a member of the company board of executives after a replacement for Reilia's position was not found, taking over as CFO. While some members of the board argued, especially some of the more ambitious ones, Cael's economic prowess became evident and all shouts turned to whispers.

His father, Belenus, was an officer in the Republic Navy at the time of the Clone Wars. The steady pay he sent home kept the family afloat. His mother, a painter by night and cantina waitress by day, brought in little but tips and sexual harassment from patrons. They managed to have a decent living, and Cael grew up without the usual cliches.

At age twenty-six, Cael became CEO after Haetham succumbed to a heart attack during an off-world business trip. One year later, following the increase in unrest prior to the rebellion, Cael sold his shares in the company and left for parts unknown.

His father finally retired at the end of the Clone Wars, and his mother became moderately successful as a painter, quitting her cantina job. They ultimately ended up opening two small businesses, one a gallery for Anacea's work, and the second, a small transportation service that would ferry customers around the Corellian sector. The stable income from each allowed Cael to attend a private school, where he received a classical education in numerous fields.

While Cael did not fear any sort of reprisal from the already-building movement to rebel against the Empire, he felt it would be best to go to ground for a few years to ride out any sort of conflict. With numerous resources still at his disposal, he made a comfortable living in the outer-reaches of the galaxy that warred on itself. After years of his self-imposed disappearance, he finally made the decision to rejoin the galaxy at large.

Mere days after Cael's awakening to the Force, yet another turning point occurred in his life: the Metamorphosis Plague, best known as the Derra Virus, became a galaxy-wide pandemic. This virus was unknown to Cael for the most part aside from muddled and unclear visions from meditation, but he contracted the plague from a bottle of whiskey given to him as a Life Day gift. When he fell asleep in a drunken stupor, he awoke three days later, not feeling quite right. Fearing a narcotic, he used onboard lab equipment to discover if anything was amiss. To his surprise, the laboratory computer registered him not as Corellian--but as Anzati. However, the plague did not affect him as drastically as other sentients. Rather, that the plague awoke latent genes in his DNA that were from his mother. Unbeknownst to him until this point, his mother was either an Anzati or herself was the offspring of one.

This revelation was earth-shattering to Cael's proud heritage that he constantly touted, but nevertheless, he still considers himself a Corellian and continues maintaining the Corellian Alcoholic Enablers League.

Cael is most certainly a grim man, and is not easily slighted by anyone, even people he puts trust in. He is derisive to anyone but those in his crew, or those he's in professional relations with. In these cases, he is seen as calm, collected, and some would claim, even humble. But to those that set off his ire, he is condescending, inflammatory, and vicious. Rumor has it, he beat a man to death with a holo-billiards cue for threatening a woman in a cantina. Strangely, he despises almost anyone with a narcissistic demeanor. Except himself, of course.

His Imperial psychological evaluation profiles him as "while most certainly chaotic in his methods, he is cold and calculated in his premeditation. He is straightforward, forthcoming, and honest; something unlike most that come through my door. His demeanor, while cold, is easily shaken by light conversation but he maintains a certain...distance. However, by my estimates and the evaluation tables put in place by the Academy, he is stable enough to serve and be effective".

In year 13, Cael would go on to open his own liquor company, the Corellian Alcoholic Enablers League (aka C.A.E.L.). The company went on to be very successful and would experience times of excess demand. C.A.E.L. would close for the last time shortly before it's owners death.

— Cael Graigan

Cael Graigan, the only son of Belenus and Anacea Graigan, was born on day 22 of year -32, in the waning years of the Galactic Republic.

Possessing an almost-genius IQ, Cael excelled in his courses and graduated two years ahead of his peers, allowing him to work for the family's business interests. Cael then began flying freighters, back and forth, for these businesses. He learned most of the tricks of piloting from this experience.

In year 13, Cael would go on to open his own liquor company, the Corellian Alcoholic Enablers League (aka C.A.E.L.). The company went on to be very successful and would experience times of excess demand. C.A.E.L. would close for the last time shortly before it's owners death.
