1.  Chiss Culture must expand and adapt to the tribulations it as face in recent times, for example the loss of its home world. Generally not necessarily hostile to Chiss but for the most part a non-chiss planetary government.  Chiss Culture can therefore no longer remain left or go along as if they are isolated which was often the preferred choice of the past.  In fact Flar Gar and The Chiss Ascendancy embodies this progressive stand even by taking residency of Dayral.

2 While the traditions and the culture of the chiss must be carried on (which is in line with the cultural chiss of old, confusingly also bearing the name, Chiss Ascendancy.  It must do so with point one in mind. History

Chiss Material Extractions now called The Chiss Ascendancy (mining) was forged partly on the efforts of a medical practice that also held the name of, Chiss Ascendancy. (not to be confused with the cultural Chiss Ascendancy)

Chiss Material Extractions( now: The Chiss Ascendancy ) is driven by the demand that the Chiss be given a chance to control their own destiny. Despite the name and predominately chiss membership, nonchiss are welcome. The goal is the creation of a pro chiss community in which non chiss are very welcome. It seek a better and modern life by providing a new social structure while paying due respects to the old.

Some members of The Chiss Ascendancy (Currently a mining group) are oddly enought members of the Chiss Ascendancywhich can be described as a culture centre for all chiss. Both are currently active. There the two Chiss Ascendancy and we should not confused the two, to mean the same thing. Thus not contradictory.

The Chiss Ascendancy (mining) is itself independent and is headed by a Board of Directors. Which is chaired by majority shareholder Flar Gar.

Year 12 Day 109

Chiss Materials Extractions continued to grow and expand, a rift began to develop. Carn`ilo` Sabosen carried the standard of adherance to tarditional chiss cultural values , while Flar Gar accepted a more multicultural view. Philosophically, they were Traditionalist and Progressive.

Their divergent philosophies resulted in several controversies, which eventually rippled into the chiss community. Both men eventually gained some support.

In Year 12, perceiving that Flar had mocked his vision of a revived Chiss Ascendancy, and that Flar was not leading CME according to Nilos's own Traditionalist philosophy, Nilos took action. He hired a bounty hunter, but the hunter then told Flar, and Gar trapped Nilos aboard a ship by convincing him that he was beign force tested. On day 108, Nilos was arrested and prepared to stand trial.

On day 109, after a controversial trial, Nilos was put to death. His death equally controversial due to the chiss prohibition against murder as a form of punishment, but Flar's Progressive philosophy(which he called "Neo-Chiss") made exceptions(due to Nilos's ownership of a share of CME stock). Flar Gar felt that Carn’ilo’Sabosen would have been on some level a threat to not only Flar but also chiss culture. This is despite the fact that Carn’ilo’Sabosen had also contributed in no small way to the reconstruction of chiss culture. In Gar's opinion, the extraordinary case had to be meet with extraordinary measures.

Shortly after the execution, Chiss Material Extractions changed its name to 'The Chiss Ascendancy', frustrating the remaining traditionalists.

The traditionalists kept the name Sabosen had given their community:'Chiss Ascendancy-in-exile' and insisted that the renaming of CME was a usurpation, while Flar and the Progressives insisted that 'The Chiss Ascendancy'(formerly Chiss Material Extractions) was the practical expression of chiss community goals.
