So the tales go.

Dark ships appear from the depths of space. Swift, silent phantoms shoot forth to plummet to the surface. Their bright plumes of re-entry are seen only for a moment before communications are cut and scanners are jammed. Hellfire begins raining from above.

The defenses reel from the shock of orbital bombardment. Officials yell vainly into their comms for orders as citizens flee in panic for shelter. Out of the smoke and fire, demons roar from the sky with black, hulking armor and shining, red eyes that freeze the body in its place and terrify the soul. Smashing through rooftops, blasting through doorways, the monsters seek their prey. Those who resist are swiftly cut down into bloody pieces, their dying screams of agony piercing the night. Those who run only prolong the inevitable and cannot escape. Hell is hungry and will not be denied.

As quickly as they come, the nightmares are gone. Only death, sorrow and destruction remain with the dripping, bloody symbol that lays claim to brutality committed.

So the tales go. It is always the same.
