The FX-7 medical assistant is a cylindrical droid with a number of retractable appendages which give it many advantages over medical staff with only two appendages. A large number of sensors help the droid to multitask easily without error, regardless of the alien species being treated. The FX-7 is well suited to monitoring vitals of multiple beings at a time, which makes it a great asset to battlefield wards, maternity wards, or any other high population medical care areas.

The droid can often be seen aiding both live and droid doctors in operating rooms and triage centres. The combined sensors and appendages make the FX-7 ideal for this in many ways, as fewer medical staff are needed during procedures and patients in close proximity to one another can all be cared for by the droid simultaneously.

Though the standard FX-7 lacks a droid language vocoder, this piece can easily be added to the droid via an expansion slot. Appendages and programming directives are also easy to alter, making this droid highly sought after in most medical fields.
