Freedom's Crusader is the personal vessel of the Mirialan Negotiator, Looma Karwt. She has a storied and intriguing past.

History

Originally she was a product of Neuro-Saav Corporation. She went through several owners and was a smugglers craft for a while before one of her less intelligent owners managed to ram the front of a Super Star Destroyer from the side, shearing off almost half the side of the freighter. She was impounded but the Imperial officials had not use for her and sold her for scrap. She was purchased by an enterprising junker named Karl Riber. Riber was going to sell her for parts until word reached him that resistance fighters on Ryloth were seeking a very cheap freighter. Riber took the Freedom's Crusader, then christened the Asp, to Ryloth looking to make a deal.

In Karwt's Hands

Karl Riber met with Keena Tan and Looma Karwt in a tiny rural Twi'lek village. They were the leaders of the resistance to the slavers on the world. Knowing that the resistance fighters were desperate, Riber tried to gouge them, desiring 6 million galactic credits. After seeing the ship and knowing he could fix it, Looma made a counter offer of one million. Once the haggling started, the resistance managed to work the price down to two million galactic credits. It practically bankrupted Looma. However, the resistance needed the ship desperately so he bought. It would require quite a bit of work to bring the battered ship into flying shape. Looma and the resistance mechanics spent over two weeks of around the clock work to make the ship flyable again. Once that was done, she took off for horizon's unknown.
