Galactic Medical was founded by Ettore Kalsi and Crawford Zapp. Commodore Zapp would finance the company, while then Prefect Ettore Kalsi would lead the organization. Kalsi had leadership experience leading his own non-faction groups, aswell as working within the Alion Nova Guard. Ettore Kalsi has lead the organization since before its incorporation with no interference from Commodore Zapp. From its humble beginnings Galactic Medical is now a proud member of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

History

Founding

Galactic Medical was founded originally as an NFG with the intention of going faction as quickly as possible, as financed through Crawford Zapp and Ettore Kalsi's other ventures. Ettore Kalsi brought in various people including Mopar Scape and Ara Miransi to help create the company. Together they forged the Galactic Medical Charter and Articles of Incorporation. Both these sentient would die in the lead up to the creation of the company.

Mopar's second in command, Vito Royan would become GM's new second in command, he would resign before the official incorporation, paving the way for Kavilo Dujuk to take the title. He too, however, would have to resign to outside issues.

Once founded Ettore Kalsi doubled the size of the fleet and immediately added territory to the companies inventory. Ettore quickly established an isolationist doctrine, preferring to stay out of political affairs. Going as far as to privatize the companies training academy once it grew beyond his control.

Royal Trade Alliance

Ettore, now crowned Prince of Praxius, continued leading the company, signing their first agreement known as the Royal Trade Alliance. The Alliance would consist of Galactic Medical, Pacnorval Defense Systems, originally Ettore's NFG, then owned by a board of partners, protected by the Kalsi Royal Guard, and lead by the House Kalsi.

This lead to an election for Galactic Medical's still vacant second in command seat. Margrave Pravus Malum, Chief Operations Officer for PacNor, and then Margrave Leo Iscander, ambassador to Cybot Galactica both stepped up and campaigned for the position. Leo Iscander would narrowly win, catapulting him to earn his own Dutchy and the title of Duke.

The election, originally done off the books, was institutionalized. Galactic Medical's election commission was founded. The Royal Trade Alliance would later dissolve with the dissolution of Pacnorval Defense Systems and its then Articles of Incorporation.

Andromeda Agreement

Galactic Medical, being based on Berebosuil, had a lot of contact with Andromeda Security, the planet's, and system's controller. With the intent of security his companies assets Prince Ettore approached Andromeda's leadership. They forged a mutually beneficial agreement and Galactic Medical made it's first step from its isolationist policies.

Confederacy of Independent Systems

At the urging of Duke Leo Iscander, Ettore's authorized the ambassador to meet with the representatives of various neutral alliances. The most intriguing organization was the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and following a short period of information collection Ettore and Leo agreed to apply their company for admittance.

Once accepted Leo Iscander was appointed Senator, and Ettore as the companies leader also took his seat in the Senate. A new election law was drafted for the company, setting in place a democratic election under the supervision of the existing elections commission.
