History

The beginnings of the first InterGalactic Banking Clan (IGBC) coincide with the development of Muun society. To truly understand the history of the IGBC, one must also study the history of the Muun. Life for the Muun has revolved around finance and mathematics for millennium, so much so that it is said that binary (1s and 0s) has found its way into everyday talk. Eventually, many banking families got together on Muunilinst to create what would become the most influential bank in the galaxy. Their base of operations was in the city of Harnaidan on Muunilinst giving themselves the name The Banking Clan, usually referred to as The Clan.

In time, Muunilinst joined Galactic society. From this time on, they were known as the InterGalactic Banking Clan. This change in name coincided with their owning and backing many colonies, space stations, ships and other property across the known galaxy. It was a time of stability for The Clan. As backers for the Galactic Credit, the Clan ensured that there was little fluctuation in value making it the most widely used form of money, if not in the galaxy as a whole, at least in the core worlds.

On Year 14 Day 286, the Corporate Sector Authority purchased the InterGalactic Banking Clan from Corey Vildras. With this acquisition, Sven Wan was instated as leader and vowed to provide honest banking services to the galaxy.

Paparrin ascended to the CEO position of IGBC after the death of Sven Wan on Year 14 Day 359. Paparrin would try his best to make amends for the damage Sven caused, but with limited funds announced without further investment and dedicated administration it was likely the bank would close in the near future.[1]

Shortly after he announced that without further investors that IGBC would close Paparrin was approached by Bossive Ketwol who agreed to take over running the bank and infuse it with new investment to ensure it could continue to run in the future. We are still awaiting word from Mr. Ketwol on the future of the bank and what services will be continued. According to Paparrin at the time of the transfer of power at the bank there were 14 depositors owed 214 million dollars by the bank. Mr Ketwol has revealed that prior to his death Sven transferred 200 million of the bank's money to one X Halk. What plans for recovery of these lost funds is unknown at this time.[2]
