| − | Kagurazaka was born Elisia Bernar into wealth and privilege, what little of it there was on [[Tatooine]]. Her human family was one of the few wealthy families on Tatooine which were not Hutt. They were outworlders, former members of the Coruscanti aristocracy and they sought the finest in everything. Little Elisia would not enjoy her families power and prestige however. She was born with an eye defect, leaving her iris without any color in a ring surrounding the pupil in both eyes. This impurity caused her birth family to reject her. She was given up for adoption. She spent two years in an orphanage. Somewhere in the shuffle, the paperwork with her real name on it was lost. The orphanage workers nicknamed her "K".

| − | After spending two years in the orphanage, little "K" caught a break. A Selkath family, unable to have their own children, were seeking to adopt. The Selkath were moved by the plight of little "K" and inquired into her story. Appalled by what had happened to her, the Yoi family claimed her as their own, giving her the name Kagurazaka. As the young girl grew, she grew very close to her adopted family. The Yoi family was not remotely close to rich. They ran a small mechanic shop which earned them just enough to keep themselves. Losiu and Kagera Yoi doted on their little human child, doing their best to give her everything she needed. Her eyes were a regular medical expense, which precluded the Yoi's from doing more. However, they did the best they could to give their adopted child a happy childhood.

| − | As she grew a bit older, Kagurazaka began to help her adopted father in the shop. Her father never asked her to do this, it was something she greatly enjoyed. Despite her poor vision, she excelled. Her hands had eyes of their own. Kagurazaka was a natural. Without any teaching, her fingers found the proper places and soon she was better than her father. As her skills improved, her fathers business spiked upward. As his business increased, so did the family income. This allowed the Yoi's to afford some lessons in computers and electronics for their budding engineer. Kagurazaka excelled in the lessons. She knew so much naturally that the lessons she had merely amplified her skill. She was providing so much of her fathers income that he began paying her a small wage as he would an employee. Kagurazaka saved every penny she could. She also began trying to make contacts among her father's customers. In the recesses of her mind, a plan was forming. She would get off the dust-bowl she lived on, and find a good paying mechanical job to help support her adopted parents.

| − | At age thirteen, Kagurazaka got her chance to move upward. A recruiter for Minos-Menstra Munitions arrived in her town. He was seeking skilled individuals to work in the munitions industry, fabricating guns and other weapon parts. The pay being offered was close to five times what Kagurazaka was making helping her father. Nevertheless, the decision was hard for her. She dearly loved her adopted family, and desperately wanted to stay with them. However, the massive pay increase would let her feed herself as well as care for her parents. Her father would not be able to maintain the family business much longer and she felt obligated to help support both him and her mother. Finally, she decided to apply for the job. There was no formal interview. Instead, the recruiter came by her fathers shop, handed her a broken weapon and some parts and told her she had three minutes to fix it into field firing readiness. Kagurazaka went to work on the badly damaged DL-44. It took her two minutes and thirty-five seconds to finish the weapon. The recruiter seemed surprised but took it behind the shop and took three shots with it. The gun functioned flawlessly. It was then that the recruiter told Kagurazaka that he had deliberately withheld some of the parts she should have needed to fix the gun. The test was not a test of skill but of knowledge. The recruiter hired Kagurazaka on the spot. Within the week she was headed offworld to her new position.

| − | Kagurazaka was one of the youngest employees in Minos-Menstra. She started out on the shop floor, repairing damaged weapons and armor. However, her skillset was so impressive that the leadership of Minos-Menstra quickly transferred her over the the production side of the business. Her craftsmanship was such that she was quickly promoted from general production to specialized production. Her new job involved hand crafting the most delicate parts of weapons and armor, for the highest ranking members of the Galactic Alliance. She spent some time doing this, before being promoted to team lead in that department. Now she led a team of individuals doing the same work. She led the team for a year before being promoted again, this time to Factory Manager. As a factory manager, she was more on the management side than on the production side, but she managed to get her hands dirty periodically. Under her guidance, the factory excelled, leading to further promotions up the chain of command for Kagurazaka. As a teenager, she steadily climbed the corporate ladder. The culmination came five years down the line, when she was appointed interim CEO of Minos-Menstra Muntions by it's Krath ownership. The iterim tag was removed six months later, and Kagurazaka was left as full time CEO of Minos-Menstra Munitions.

| − | However, somewhere along the line, a covert agent of Black Sun was able to gain influence over Kagurazaka. The values she had championed and the family she had valued began to change. She began selling information and technology to Black Sun. As she rose up the Minos-Menstra chain of command, her value to Black Sun increased. Her work with Black Sun came to a crescendo late in year 18, when she defected, enabling Black Sun to seize an immense cache of weapons and armor worth something like 70 billion credits on the open market.
