History

The history of Merr-Sonn Technologies is the composition of the rich histories of the three groups the conglomerate is made up from.

Merr-Sonn started out as an independent company, before it became a member of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. It was soon sold off to SoroSuub Corporation, at that point the largest business organization in the Galaxy. There, it thrived under the leadership of Alec Trevelyan. When SoroSuub and the Rebel Alliance joined forces and founded the democratic New Republic, Merr-Sonn came under the ownership of the Republic. During that time, it was most notably led by the Wookiee weapons veteran Zeth Quo and the Hapan Amara Myzair.

SoroSuub Munitions evolved from Riviera Trident and operated as the main armaments supplier for the SoroSuub conglomerate. Its first leader was Van Harrad, who shaped the company into its final form. After the foundation of the New Republic, Van Harrad’s skills were needed elsewhere in the government and Jim Blitz took over. He was replaced by Rilarr Denaiss when the rowdy Corellian decided to travel the depths of the Galaxy. The last leader of SoroSuub Munitions was the Kaminoan Izjna Khaldho.

NeuroSaav Technology was founded as the supplier of the Rebel Alliance weaponry at the start of the Civil War. The group was led by many strong leaders who were also notable members of the Alliance. The production company was well-known for its top-notch weaponry, which often proved to be a valuable asset on battlegrounds across the Galaxy. The DH-17 rifle proved to be the ideal sidearm for firefights in enclosed space such as ships, whereas the DL-44 was a much desired weapon for smugglers and mercenaries. When the Rebel Alliance evolved into the New Republic, NeuroSaav continued to supply the Republic with its high-quality products. The group’s last leader was Aeternal Conclave.

Sometime in Year 10, these three groups merged into the largest armaments conglomerate in the known Galaxy. The new leaders were Izjna Khaldho and Amara Myzair(2IC). As a tribute to Merr-Sonn the name 'Merr-Sonn Technologies' was chosen.

Soon after the merge Amara Myzair stepped down. Izjna Khaldho resigned also and switched into another leader position. He becomes replaced by the Barabel Ezekial Nien. After Ezekial's death in Year 11, caused by Black Sun infiltrators, Nar Thalion claimed leadership and promotes the Geonosian Tengri Lethas to be Second in Command. Because Nar Thalion only entered to 'heal the wounds' of the BS threat he becomes replaced by the Human Troucei Laruse in Year 12.

Merr-Sonn Technologies did not stop to expand its business. Being a nationalised company of the New Republic, on Year 13 Day 110 a new merger was negotiated: TransGalMeg Industries - another NR nationalised company - and Merr-Sonn Technologies merged into a single entity under the Merr-Sonn name and with Luther Nightwish as new leader (former TGMI leader).

As it seems to be MST's curse of a never ending leadership-carrousel Luther Nightwish stepped down in march Year 13 and Tengri Lethas became the new CEO. Only a few months later Galen Pheras was designated as Second in Command.

At Year 13 Day 207/208 Merr-Sonn Technologies announced the Azmart being the new sales platform of all of their products. Only a few weeks earlier, MST announced the public sales of some of their restricted techs. These were the weapons AXm-50, B22, Telltrig-7 and the W-2X Wristcaster

Rumors

  • The number of datacards available to this company is high above average, and the know-how on almost any aspect of item production is one strong point of this multiplanetary company.
  • Due to the fact above, MST might be the most productive corporation in the known galaxy.
  • When Ammo disappears from the galaxy, MSTs revenue was far above 50 million credits. Production was already stopped for years.
