Ordo is mostly a barren, desert planet, having little vegetation and home to the, now vanished, Clan Ordo. What vegetation the planet does have is centered around the equator. The result of this is that most of the planet's settlements are centered in this region, and with such limited resources to draw from it is not uncommon for conflicts to arise between settlements during droughts. Ordo was one of the first planets conquered by the ancient Mandalorians during their first crusade of expansion. Because of its history with Mandalore and its isolation from the major trade routes, [[Mando'a]] remains the planet's standard language.
