Sienar Fleet Systems (SFS) is a politically neutral ship manufacturer and part of the Sienar Conglomerate. The SFS was originally a contractor for the Galactic Empire since Year 5 and was responsible for designing and manufacturing the iconic TIE-series starfighters, among other ships. During its Imperial service, the original company was plagued by struggles from lootings to pirate attacks but despite all odds it was actively manufacturing for approximately five years before it was merged with Corellian Engineering Corporation in Year 10.

The second incarnation of SFS was formed by a group of former Imperial officers in Year 14 as an independent enterprise. It was re-branded from a shipwright to corporate security in Year 17. The name was claimed later in the same year by Silus Nidor who helped restore SFS to its rightful place as one of the foremost independent ship manufacturers in the galaxy.

In early Year 20 SFS has officially re-allied with the Sienar Conglomerate and became an official part of the corporate group. In doing so SFS has come full circle.

History

Imperial Service

"Mr. Townsend, however, could not steal Fleet Systems’ most valuable resource, the SFS employees"
- CEO Ki Virtu comments on SFS looting, Year 6

The origins of the first Sienar Fleet Systems (SFS) company are mostly lost to history, however the surviving public records indicate that SFS originated in Year 5 Day 298 from Cosmo Corps and the base of operations was in the Corellian Sector. The company was contracted by the Galactic Empire to produce military vessels and loyal to the government. Their most recognisable designs were the TIE-series; which became iconic starfighters of the Imperial Navy. It is also believed the original SFS was responsible for the design of Immobiliser IM-418 Interdictor Cruiser. Alongside its defence contract, it did produce ships approved for civilian use; such as BFF-1 Freighter and Ln-500 Space Liner (former designation of C-3 Passenger Liner). The records about its early history also indicate it was a successful enterprise, in early Year 6 it acquired at least two smaller companies; Cygnus Spaceworks Ships and Infinite Innovations Inc. This prosperity was abruptly ended in the last months of the same year when a large number of Imperials split from the Galactic Empire and formed the New Imperial Order (NIO). The SFS CEO joined the NIO and stole most of the company's capital. It was a severe blow but the new leadership was able to stabilize the company. Records of further struggles for SFS come from a GNS hacked by the Eidola Pirates in late Year 7 which suggests kidnapping and murders of SFS staff. Nevertheless, SFS lasted for several more years until Year 10, when the company was bought and absorbed by Corellian Engineering Corporation (CEC) on Day 291. There were no public records found to explain this merger but it could be reasonably assumed that the Galactic Empire wanted to streamline its shipbuilding industry. While CEC uses the SFS designs to this day, the Sienar Fleet Systems name was not seen in the galaxy for the next several years.

"If anything, Mr. Townsend has actually helped SFS a great deal. By abandoning SFS, he allowed for competent leadership to take control, weeding out disloyal and lethargic employees. The company is now focusing on profitability and growth for the company, rather than ego and self-interest."
- CEO Ki Virtu
"The split between the NIO and the Empire devastated this company, but SFS was not destroyed. There is no ill will with our returning brothers. We are a family, and a family has its fights. We have both come out of this stronger than when we entered. The separation that occurred years ago only benefited the future of the Empire."
- Chairman of Sienar Fleet Systems, Year 9

Independent Shipwright

The second incarnation of Sienar Fleet Systems company was founded on Year 14 Day 233. Although it was formed by a group of former Imperials, it was not affiliated with the Galactic Empire and there was no connection to the original company; the name was chosen mainly to attract customers throughout the central regions of the galaxy where SFS established its first shipyards and offices. From its beginnings SFS worked in cooperation with other independent companies in the central regions; namely Aurora Technologies and Rim Mining Guild. This strategy and stable customer base helped the company through its early period as it re-established a name for itself. SFS owes much of its early success to the first CEO Gredek Dregoth who was responsible for laying down solid foundations for the new company, and the late Director of Production Sirius Constantine. Director Constantine utilized his past experience with shipbuilding business to expand production hubs of SFS across several sectors and made it more independent.

In the latter half of Year 15, Director Constantine was apprehended by private SFS security forces for grave crimes against the company and was executed after his guilt was proven. This event was mentioned in GNS released by Galactic Empire later that year.[1] The Executive Board was not happy that one of the senior executives would turn on the company but they took solace in knowing any major damage was prevented and assured the staff their security was not compromised. SFS recovered fairly quickly under the leadership of CEO Dregoth and later in the same year mining operations of Rim Mining Guild were absorbed into SFS's corporate structure; significantly reducing the costs of Raw Materials needed for their expanding production. After a year and a half as CEO, Dregoth stepped down from the position to lead a new mercenary group. He was replaced by Raffael Goschmitt who acted as Vice President for the next several months.

SFS enjoyed a period of profitable stability until unforeseeable events severely limited Vice President Goschmitt’s time for his duties. To prevent any major decline in production and overall activity of SFS, the Executive Board sought a replacement and appointed Lilith Delcroix as CEO in Year 16. Under Delcroix's leadership, SFS continued to expand its operations, mainly focusing on production and sales of Marauder-class Corvette, BFF-1 Bulk Freighter, JumpMaster 5000, and BTL-S3 Y-wing Starfighter. In Year 17 the Executive Board decided to move away from shipbuilding and on Day 141 re-branded SFS's infrastructure to Special Weapons And Technologies Industries (S.W.A.T. Industries).

In Year 17 the SFS name was used by Silus Nidor, who re-branded his Zonama Sekot Shipbuilders company and acquired the previous SFS marketing material from Delcroix to use it for his own company.

Sienar Conglomerate

In early Year 20 the third (and current) incarnation of Sienar Fleet Systems has officially re-allied with the Sienar Conglomerate and became an official part of the corporate group. In doing so SFS has come full circle.
