:Any user is always welcome to change their userpage and fashion them as they like. Until they choose to do so (and you know full well that few will ever decide to do so) a redirect is ''imho'' not the worst way to get rid of some red links. Some people may like to use their personal user pages for details regarding their former and present activities on the Holocron, refer to sources and references that others can use, etc. I and many others do redirect our user pages to our character pages, but I think it's a decision that should be left to those users themselves.
