The Tion Hegemony is an autocracy established on Year 9 Day 301 that governs the Allied Tion Sector, the Cronese Mandate, and the Tion Hegemony Sector in the remote Outer Rim Territories. Led by Lord Hegemon Typhon Corbin, the government has resurrected the ancient Tionese culture and united the Tion Cluster under a single banner once more. Unlike its ancestral namesake, the Hegemony no longer seeks dominance or war with its neighbors. Instead, they accept all beings into their homes, so long as they respect the laws and customs. The Tionese are a people of peace, respect, integrity, and, above all else, loyalty. All citizens are united in ensuring the continued prosperity of Tion.

The Tion Hegemony controls three nationalized subsidiaries including Athakam MedTech, a medical corporation; Nikklon Mining Inc, a mining company; and Tion Mil/Sci Industries, a shipwright firm.

Overview

Risen from the ashes after being long buried, the Tion Hegemony is reborn once more. Over the millennia, it has been known by many names and done many things, but the Tion Hegemony is intent on never again disappearing from the galaxy. Our purpose is simple: To restore the Allied Tion and all Tionese areas to their former glory, to be ever advancing technologically, and to give our proud culture a place to flourish. We have learned from our past mistakes, and are intent on not reproducing them. We no longer strive for galactic dominance, and we are no longer intolerant of those not of Tionese descent. We remain powerful and proud, but we will not let these traits bring about another dark age for our people. We have experienced all that there is to experience. We have endured all that there is to endure. We have seen all there is to be seen. We have experienced the ecstasy that comes with holding the galaxy by the throat, and the misery that being brought down to nothing brings. We honor our past and look forward to making the future a prosperous one. The new era has begun, and with it we bring our new ideals. We no longer seek dominance or war with our neighbors, so long as they do not seek war with us. We accept all beings into our homes, so long as they respect our laws and customs. We are a people of peace, respect, integrity, and, above all else, loyalty. We welcome all who wish for a peaceful and prosperous existence, with family and honor in mind. Prosperity Through Unity.

History

Ancient History

The Tionese people are among the oldest human races in existence, tracing their beginning back to the first sleeper ships from the core worlds dating back 28,000 BBY. Their progress was at an alarming rate for humans as they were among the few humans who revered the Rakatan races and as such acquired their knowledge and zeal for advancements, and always ventured to improve their way of life through technology and all things related to the force. They had invented beam tubes in their bid to travel around their area and eventually built limited hyperdrives by fusing Rakatan technology with fixed hyperspace beacons forming a 'lighthouse' system that relied upon fixed-position hyperspace beacons that allowed for safe FTL travel as long as one stayed within the network, as far back as 27,000 BBY. The Tionese were very proud and family orientated, so much so that at an early stage the people were divided into different families. There were about 27 major families and a couple of minor families all vying for power and control within the Tion sector. It wasn't long before the first form of government called the Livien League was formed having its capital on planet Desevro. Life was good for the Tionese people but as always family clans were involved in battles around the sector causing the uprise of the future of Tion Hegemony government. The first signs was when the father of the great Xim the Despot had carved out the Kingdom of Cron from the Livien League who controlled the hegemony at that point. It was from there that the reign of the great Xim the Despot began, though his rule was tyrannic and quite barbaric to say the list. He was the only one that was able to bring the entire region together and hold it all. All was finally great within the sector, each family clan were at peace with one another as there was no need to battle for control since all would be thwarted by Xim. Each system were fruitful, so much so that the Tion Hegemony were in unpar with the then unknown Republic.

The Battle of Vontor

At the height of Xim's reign there was none who would dare oppose him due to his vast army which composed of races he had subjected and a special droid army of his own design. His fleet was also something to fear and as such the Tionese people knew nothing about enemies until the fated encounter with the Hutts. As it happened, Xim wanted more races for his army and went over to the area controlled by the Hutts to collect more people to field his army.

Xim the Despot is the most celebrated Pre-republic conqueror of all. In the remote region now known as the Tion Hegemony, Xim gathered vast armies under his banner, including a legion of unstoppable War Droids-the earliest known combat automatons. Xim's glorious empire spread to encompass hundreds of thousands of worlds in the vicinity of the Tion. The warlord miscalculated, however, when he tried to expand into Hutt space. The Hutts had built up their own formidable star empire, and they fiercely opposed Xim for the possession of the Si'klaata Cluster. Two exhausting but inconclusive battles were fought on the planet Vontor. In the third such confrontation, Xim's war droids were opposed by the Hutt's latest conscripts-a horde of fighter from the Nikto, Vodran, and Klattooinan species. Xim was utterly vanquished, and Kossak the Hutt declared victory in the third battle of Vontor.

Tionese Dark Age

Much has been lost of this period that involved the fall of the Hegemony. There are reports of successor states that fought each other, until they were absorbed in turn by other galactic powers.

Into this fray, a Hapan family, Corbin Family, established Nikklon Mining Incorproated on Tion, then called Dellalt. The corproation grew until the Cluster became the target of an expansion campaign by the Militarist New Anzat Order, led by Admiral Enzo Deleare.

Tionese Renaissance

Nikklon Mining Corporation's success in improving the standard of living of the Tionese people and their efforts in the Dellalt Conflict led to a surge of support that coalesced into a movement to gran NMI sector governance. NMI took the opportunity to announce that their government would be a new Tion Hegemony. NMI CEO Jeff Corbin was named Lord Hegemon. Under his leadership, they fought to push the New Anzat Order out of the Tion Cluster once and for all.

New Anzat Order War

The resurrected Tion Hegemony joined forces with Mandalore and endeavored to end the reign of Regent Wilhelm von Ismay by attacking the Anzatan Commonwealth in their home sector of Maldrood. After several successful campaigns that threatened the Anzati hold on Maldrood, Mandalore and Tion Hegemony signed a treaty to end the war on Year 10 Day 141. Several months after the end of the war, Hegemon Jeff Corbin stepped down to pursue a life as a Jedi. His brother and second-in-command, Typhon Corbin, was granted the title of Lord Hegemon.

The Cron Conflict

An uprising began on Tionese planets circa Year 11 Day 64 which initiated the Cron Conflict.
Main article: Cron Conflict

Several months after Jeff Corbin retired from office, a mysterious Duros male named Paul Cron — who claimed Xim the Despot as his ancestor — demanded for the House of Corbin to abdicate leadership of the Hegemony. When Lord Hegemon Typhon Corbin spurned this demand, Cron formed his own insurrectionist movement called the Cron Resurrection.

Aided by the betrayal of Helena Gladio, a trusted Tion official, Paul Cron was able to launch simultaneous terrorist strikes on several Tionese planets. The result was a costly war that threatened nearly all of the Hegemony's Trax territory, as well as several key worlds in the Tion Cluster itself.

On Year 11 Day 226, after a multi-government coalition coordinated an assault on Cron territory and Paul Cron himself was captured, the Cron Resurrection was quelled once and for all. On Year 11 Day 297, a new company called Arakyd Industries, led by Falleen barterer Helena Gladio, sued for peace with the Hegemony and surrendered all but one planet back to Tionese control.
