Throughout the history of shipbuilding, a few waterborne vessels have paraded themselves as stronger, faster, or more reliable than their predecessors. The Triumph-Class Destroyer is one of these ships. Called the "Leviathan of the Sea," the Triumph's overall quality is superior to the majority of other vessels in the same class, which makes it a force to be reckoned with. Heavily armored and able to combat formidable opponents, such as low orbit fighters or AT-ATs, the Triumph is an extremely capable combat, patrol, and support warship.

The Triumph possesses an arsenal of weapons including turbolaser batteries, ion cannons, and a laser-based proximity defense system. Composed of two turrets — one mounted forward and the other aft — the defense system provides 360-degree protection against missiles, large-caliber projectiles, and even point defense against fighters.

The Triumph also supports adaptable situational capabilities, as commanders have the choice to control the ship's weaponry either remotely or manually. Some commanders opt to control the weaponry through a remote interface while others prefer using humanoids to man the weapons. The control options are purposeful redundancies and useful in circumstances where the relay systems interfacing with the remote weaponry are malfunctioning or if crew members are unable to man the weapons.

Lastly, the Triumph-class's efficiency is boosted by an internal fighter bay and flight deck. This allows the warship to support up to two bombers, four fighters, or any combination of these.

In the modern era of the galaxy no one currently manufactures the Triumph-Class, though a few still remain in service in the galaxy the exact details of their construction is lost. If sufficient interest in the destroyer emerged it is no doubt someone would seek to rediscover this lost design.
