Biography

Early life

Nothing is known about Angora's life before Year 3, when the 4 year old girl was found by Twi'lek smuggler Bria Elysar. Bria, who named the girl after her own grandmother, took her in as her own daughter. Bria raised Angora for 12 years, which were mostly spent in space.

Parting ways

In Year 15, Bria took a job smuggling spice to the Hutt Syndicate to pay off a large gambling debt. On the way to their destination, however, her ship, Chalacta Fury, was pulled from hyperspace by an Imperial Interdictor-class cruiser. Angora dumped the spice without being noticed by the Imperials, and with nothing to hold them for, the Empire let them go.

This was not the end of their problems, as Bria had to inform the Hutts of the incident. Outraged by the loss of the spice, the Hutts summoned Bria and Angora to Nal Hutta for punishment. Bria, knowing that they would be killed, lied and told the Hutts that Angora was killed while resisting the inspection.

Bria then dropped off Angora on Naboo, leaving her a crystal necklace that was given to her by her grandmother to sell for money. In the immigration center, Angora, who was never officially adopted, took the name Elysar in honor of her mother figure. When Angora could not identify her own race, the immigration officer assigned her as a Naboo.

Although given to her to sell, Angora kept Bria's necklace as a reminder. She instead took a job at a local diner.

Joining the fight

Six years into her job, Angora accidentally found a severed lekku among the belongings of the diner's owner. Angora deduced that it belonged to the diner's previous co-owner. When confronted about the lekku, the owner revealed that she killed her "friend" to help rid the galaxy of aliens. She then attacked Angora with a vibroblade.

In the ensuing brawl, Angora managed to grab the vibroblade and killed the owner. Battle droids arrived to the scene moments later and Angora was questioned by a detective. After reviewing the security holotapes, the detective concluded that Angora had acted in self defense and let her go.

Without a job and having just killed someone for the first time, Angora returned to her apartment and tried to take her mind off of the incident. She turned on the holoprojector to an Imperial recruitment hologram. As she was about to turn it off, the hologram was hacked by REBEL SCUM. She was inspired to join the fight against the Empire, and took the next available ship to Rodia.

Biology and Appearance

Angora 1.png

As the first and only known member of her species, Angora's biology is mostly unknown. On the outside, Angora appears to be a Human with a pair of insectoid wings. These wings are unique among known winged species, which usually have two or more pairs of insectoid wings. She ages at a comparable speed to Humans, so her life span may be equally comparable.

Angora has light skin and red hair. Her eyes are a vivid green in color, which is rare for Humans and near Humans. Her wings are transparent with a slight green tint. She is relatively small for a near Human, with a height of only 5' 1". She is also very lightweight for her size, likely due to hollow bones.

On the inside, Angora is remarkably different from a Human. Most notably, her organs are reversed, and her heart is larger. Her metabolism is many times faster than a Human's, which means she must eat more to survive. This also means that she cannot get drunk, as her body flushes out the alcohol faster than she can drink it. However, jogan fruits seem to have a similar effect to alcohol on her.

Personality and skills

Angora is not very talkative and prefers to listen to others than be listened to. She is naturally drawn to the sky and loves the feeling of wind on her face and in her hair. Although she does not know how to fly with her wings, she is a natural pilot.

Her small size and light weight make her a fast runner, and she is also good with computers. She also describes herself as "okay" with a blaster.

Angora speaks with a slight Ryloth accent, which she picked up from her adoptive mother.
