Lord Sigius Karonus was an force user and practitioner of Dark Side of the Force during the days of Old Republic. He died from natural causes on year -324. Mastering the arts of Force illusion and Sith alchemy that was being practiced in the old Sith Empire, Sigius eventually rose as Dark Lord of the Sith cult of Everheim, Darth Uriel.

He was born on Empress Teta, hailing from the noble House of Karonus. Before his Force sensitivity was recognized and acknowledged, the Karonus nobleman spent a significant amount of time in the Sage Halls of Empress Teta, reading up on the Force, something that fascinated him. However, this fascination would eventually lead him on the path to the Sith.

After the death of his father, Sigius Karonus joined a small Sith Cult where he would be trained under Darth Arthamis, who was once a jedi padawan who failed at knight training and was regarded as too brash and ambitions by the council. The cult itself didnt attract many talented force users, instead it's audience were people from rich and powerful families and with their wealth, many powerful artifacts were recovered, including ancient tomes from one of the world that used to be Sith colony.

Story of Sigius Karonus

What was known was that Sigius was born on the world of Empress Teta sometime around the year -418. His father had been the Lord of House Karonus, one of the countless ruling nobles on the planet in that time. It was believed that as a child, Sigius visited the Sage Halls of Empress Teta multiple times during his childhood, reading up on the Jedi. Sigius never joined the Jedi Order, even after he was tested to be Force Sensitive. His father held a belief that the order was nothing more than a group of extremists that practiced an ancient religion that radicalizes young people to shape the Galaxy how they wanted.

Relation with father

Sigius was upset about his father decision not to join the Jedi, but never the less he accepted it. It didnt change the fact that in secret he had gathered information on how to refine ones abilities when it came to the force. For the next folowing years he had not only mastered the basic disciplines of the padawan but also developed an ego over his abilities. He viewed himself as superior to others, both intellectually and physically, because of this he came to the confrontation with his father many times. He believed that because his father was not capable enough as he was, the father had no right to choose his fate, and this culminated on one evening when Sigius was arguing with his father about the House Karonus future. During the argument Sigius accidentally flung his father out a window, in which the lord's body painted the ground below red. Sigius was shocked by two things: first, about what he had done, not meaning to throw his father, and second that he found himself caring little that his father died.

Encounter with Everheimists

Sigius felt that he could not stay on Empress Teta. There were many noble houses that hated House Karonus, and with the death of the family head and its heir being the culprit of the murder, it wouldnt take long before there would be an arrest warrant and asset seizure. Thus, Sigius immediately grabbed as many credits as he could and stole his father's space yacht, Karonus Spear. He fled with no destination in mind, and from one world to the next, all he did was run until he met a group of people like him - adepts in force, with no clear guidance or understanding. They called themselves Everheimists and they made their home on a space station called Tacrima. At a very young age, Sigius mastered Sith alchemy and Force Illusion under the guidance of Everheim, a magnificent achievement that would lead him to be recognized within the cult as Sith Lord and have a place in the council.

Darth Arthamis had taken keen interest in Sigius and tasked him to study the scrolls of Darth Andeddu, that were uncovered recently, and to research the mind and developing a way to brainwash young children so that they would become ideal Sith soldiers. Sigius was brought to a hidden asteroid base, which would be the site of the project. The project was to be dually run by Sigius and a young and brilliant neurologist Dr. Pirard. Darth Arthamis enlisted himself as supervisor, bringing many young cult acolytes along to serve as his aides.

Sigius found the mind an interesting thing, finding it amusing to see how amplifying certain emotions would have drastic effects, especially in regards to the Force. One of Sigius focuses was hatred, how different emotions related to it. Emotions weren't the only subject of his research; so were memories. Arthamis, like many Sith before him, wanted immortality and the most successful of attempts were Dark Transfers. He believed that if the person's memories were altered to replicate that of himself, he'd be able to succeed in overcoming the person's will and take over that person's body; Sigius would dub these brainwashed people as 'Huskoids'. Sigius tried this theory out by brainwashing subjects into thinking they were Sigius Karonus or Darth Arthamis himself.
