A Work in Progress

Galactic Empire

Though little information remains about Ayglis' time as an Imperial remains, what is known is that he graduated from the Imperial Academy, under the tutelage of one Marcus Aurelius, to serve in the Imperial Navy under Axe Vulcan. Though the exact reasons remain unclear, and it is unlikely that even ISB retains a record after so many years' lapse, Ayglis defected from the Empire and was subsequently declared a criminal. A bounty of 1,000,000 credits was issued, though it was never paid out since Ayglis remained a free man for the rest of his days.

Biography

Note: The following is taken from salvaged holonet records believed to have been personally recorded by Ayglis himself, though the veracity of the claims made within cannot be verified.

Chapter 1: The Past

Ayglis Tanthar was born to a fairly wealthy family of lesser nobility on the planet of Corsin. His family was listed as neutral in the civil war between the Empire and the Rebellion, much to the chagrin of the Imperial officials stationed on the planet. Secretly however, Ayglis' father was channeling embezzeled funds from his company into the Rebellion. Ayglis found out one day whilst visiting the corporate offices of his father's company. From that day on, The Imperial spirit flowed in Ayglis' veins.

Upon reaching his 17th birthday, after a series of heated and passionate arguements with his father, Ayglis stole aboard a transport headed for the Empress Teta system. After a series of bad business deals and finding himself on the wrong side of a blaster one too many times, Ayglis went into self imposed exile on the harsh desert planet of Tatooine. After several months of soul searching, Ayglis got in contact with Imperial Recruitment and began his foray into Imperial service. Naturally, rebel spies employed by his father followed him the whole time and when they reported thier findings to Ahumin, he was furious and once and for all disowned his only son and heir.

After Ayglis graduated from the Academy, his father passed away under mysterious circumstances. It was thought there was foul play involved, but nothing was proven. These accusations were especially hot after Ayglis' refusal to attend the funeral in leiu of the Academy Graduation Ceremony taking place that very same day.

Several weeks later, upon seeing how well he was doing in his new capacity, his mother decided to put the old demons to rest once and for all and restored Ayglis to his position as head of the family.

Chapter 2: The Present & More Recent History

After several months of Imperial service, Ayglis retired from the Navy believing the corruption and red tape placed by Vodo's regime were destroying what was left of an already fractured Empire. The PR department did what it could to cover up the corruption but Ayglis' intuition could see right thorugh the veil of Vodo's powerlust. He knows he is now probably considered an enemy of the Empire, but he'd rather be part of the solution, not a continuance of the problems. Ayglis now pursues more civil endeavors. He is trying to establish his name in the trading community as well as developing his stock trading company.

Several weeks after leaving Imperial service, Ayglis acquired his first ship, a Y-Wing Longprobe he called the Lighthawk, after an old deity of travel mercy worshipped by the local tribes on Corsin. His feelings of wanderlust that led him away from the Empire were as hot as ever.

With hostilities flaring in the Calaron sector between the Empire and the recently chartered New Republic, Ayglis decided to leave for the more neutral space of the Corporate sector.

Chapter 3: On To The Republic!

After spending almost three months in a civilian job at Magnaguard, his desire to make up for the mistakes he had made once again overtook him. After recieving an offer to join the Galactic Republic, he said goodbye to his new friends at CSA and journeyed to an undisclosed location within Republican space.

However all was not well. Jeff Knight, the man who brought him to GR tryed to oust CoS Jesfa Ackmin. It was a stunning failure. After being 'loaned' to Courier Communications. Ayglis decided enough was enough. Ayglis returned to CSA, this time however in the Espos Security Division. But as these things often go, Ayglis needed to get back on the front in the war. The New Republic was his way out.

After only a couple weeks, Ayglis found his commitment waning yet again. Journeying to Abregado-Rae, Ayglis found his way to an Ailon Nova Guard recruiter, and began yet another chapter in his roller coaster life.
