History of CBN

The Formation

The idea of a bank for the people came about during a brief "get together" at a local tavern between Dakha Rednax and Geoff Jackson. The two men had been working together in a ship production company called Lamborari for some time now, and Geoff pitched the idea of a new bank to Rednax. While Geoff was only moderately interested in the idea, Rednax was extremely intrigued and the two started what seemed to be the initial planning of the Colonial Bank, yet to be named at the time.

What started out as an idea, had now become reality for the two business partners. Their work continued as the days passed, spending time on both Lamborari and the bank's structure. As time went on, less and less work was done in Lamborari and Rednax was eventually replaced as the corporation's leader by Bossive Ketwol.

The End of Red

Mr. Rednax was replaced for a brief period by his COO, Geoff Jackson, while on a trip to his home world of Malastare. While on his cruise, Rednax was assassinated by an unfriendly tribe of Dug whilst his village was under attack. A Colonial Bank investigation, at the time, was unable to find anything however communications between the Malastare and a transmission station somewhere in the galactic east were found to have had the last dozen messages logged by the system. It is believed, to this day, that Rednax' killer is still at large.

The "Jacksonian" Era

With the soul of the Colonial Bank now gone, Geoff Jackson was appointed as the next CEO. Mr. Jackson tripled the value of the bank, opening several well-endowed corporate accounts as well as adding new services, to include Insurance and Low-Interest Loans. After approached by fellow banker, Xanxus Drol, Mr. Jackson also began a friendly buyout of The Guild Bank financial institution in an attempt to assist Mr. Drol in his banking venture.

Hostile Buyout?

After suffering for 5 months with minimal staffing, inactive players, and a vast increase in account openings, Mr. Jackson was nearly forced to sell out to the only bank in the galaxy - InterGalactic Banking Clan. Corey Vildras, head of IGBC, had constantly bombarded Jackson with constant inquiries, attempting to gain customer account information and bank statistics. Mr. Jackson held firm, denying all internal information to Corey - even after IGBC purchased the company from the Colonial Bank Directors.
