Good afternoon Imperial citizens. Now to our top stories.

Two weeks ago hostilities reached a boiling point after the New Aznat Order signaled a military strike on a small Hapan aligned mining corporation operating under charter of the Galactic Empire within the Allied Tion Sector. After Hapan diplomacy failed, the Lord Executor of the Galactic Empire ordered a division within the 1st Assault Fleet to the Allied Tion sector to secure Imperial interests. The New Aznat Order detected Imperial Scouts only days prior to the arrival of the Imperial warships and their fighter escorts. It was too late for the New Aznat Order to attack the fledgling mining corporation and too early for them to escape. The Imperial fleet ordered the NAO presence to surrender immediately or reap the bitter consequences of their disobedience. The Imperial presence was quickly followed by a military coup within the NAO which resulted in the ousting of Prime Minister Wolfgang. Four days later the NAO signaled their surrender to the Imperial fleet and immediately began negotiations with the Galactic Empire regarding their status within the Imperial sector of Allied Tion. The closed door negotiations are reported to be progressing well. An embedded report with the 1st Imperial Assault Fleet caught up with Minister Thrawn earlier today. The minister had this to say.

Minister Thrawn

The NAO delegation was reluctant to consult with our state department at the outset. Having to surrender to a superior force is never an easy pill to swallow. Regardless, their delegation has demonstrated an exceptional willingness to put the rebellious sins of their former leader behind them and push forward towards a more peaceful stance with the Galactic Empire. We expect the "Allied Tion Crisis" to be resolved shortly and plan on having some exciting news to report very soon.

We are now going to send you to our political correspondent who is at the Imperial Palace in Coruscant for the latest news from the Imperial throne.

Political Correspondent

I am holding an official transcript from the Imperial meeting that took place 72 hours ago. While there were several smuggled copies in circulation immediately following the meeting, the Imperial Security Council has officially signed off on the transcript I am now holding in my hand. Some of the biggest headlines deal with problems in the Fakir Sector, new technologies designed to stop piracy and big name promotions.

Reporter

What can you tell us about the Fakir Sector?

Political Correspondent

It appears that there has been a major shift in military policy. The Emperor announced that his personal apprentice, Darth Thanatos, has been essentially named the supreme commander of the Fakir Sector.

Reporter

Does that mean Emperor Vodo has named the first Sith to a prominent government position?

Political Correspondent

Not exactly. Emperor Vodo has named Darth Thanatos "The Warlord of Fakir". He has made it clear that while he reports directly to Grand Moff Quel Droma, who we will talk more about later, he is not a government appointee. Rather, he is a Warlord with full administrative and military authority over the entire Fakir sector.

Reporter

Do we know how this will affect the hierarchy of the Imperial Navy and Army?

Political Correspondent

We do not know exactly how all of this will work quite yet, but we do have confirmation from the throne that this will not impact command and control infrastructures within the Imperial High Command. Rather, "Warlord Thanatos" has been given control of the Crimson Fleet and will operate the Crimson Fleet under an Imperial Militia Charter. This essentially authorizes the Crimson Fleet, under the control of Warlord Thanatos, to operate as a security and military subcontractor for the Empire. The Imperial High Command has been busy promoting the recruitment and logistical benefits this revised policy will have on both the Navy and Army branches of the Imperial military as a major contributor to this policy shift. They cited "civil unrest" in the Fakir sector as a reason for its selection.

Reporter

Interesting news. Interesting news indeed. You alluded to some news regarding Grand Moff Droma. What does the galaxy need to know about that portion of the Imperial meeting?

Political Correspondent

The Emperor has personally bestowed the title of "Count" upon Grand Moff Droma.

While the Emperor was quick to point out that the Count's duties will remain in alignment with his duties as Grand Moff, the Emperor felt that the Grand Moff's long tenure and track record of loyalty could no longer go unrecognized by the galaxy.

Reporter

Any other personnel changes that the Galaxy should be made aware of?

Political Correspondent

Yes, there were a couple other changes worth mentioning. Maximus Archer, a former ace fighter pilot within the Dark Empire's Sith Fleet, has returned to the Galactic Empire as a Captain and Executive Officer within the 1st Assault Fleet. Captain Archer left the Sith to pursue a Jedi training program consistent with the training that Captain Archer's father had received as a child. While the Sith were initially displeased with Captain Archer's rebellious course, they soon realized that the Dark Side would forever dominate his destiny and decided to let his destiny evolve as the Emperor had foreseen. Captain Archer longed for the Dark Side. It's seductive power dominated his thoughts. While he was with the Atarian Rangers, Captain Archer finally realized that his true destiny was to destroy the Jedi and to serve the Sith. Captain Archer and his former Master, Samus Aguill, joined forces and destroyed the Jedi-centric Antarian Rangers and joined the Empire to pursue his destiny with the Dark Side.

Reporter

Wow. It is sure funny how things have a way of correcting themselves. We should take this as a lesson to never find ourselves between a Sith and their destiny. What else do you have for us on the personnel front?

Political Correspondent

The 1st Imperial Fleet, under the leadership of Admiral Machkhit, has announced that Commodore Discoord would be joining the fleet as the Executive Officer. That is all on the personnel front.

Reporter

Finally, you mentioned some technology news that the Empire is promoting as a tool that would combat piracy. What can you tell us about this new technology?

Political Correspondent

The details are sketchy at the moment. However, we do know that Imperial Research and Development and Infinite Innovations Incorporated have developed a prototype satellite that would be able to control all Galactic News System (GNS) broadcasts. This would effectively eliminate the Pirates, and any other non-government faction that the Empire deems to be a threat to the social order of the galaxy, from broadcasting using the GNS format. The Empire obviously feels that without a media platform by which to flood the galaxy with their fictitious propaganda and bravado, the pirate factions will slowly dissolve into oblivion.

Reporter

That is certainly some good news. Galactic citizens, we now conclude our broadcast day.
