History

Early History

Born on a small space station orbiting Duro, Kran Chan has felt at home in the stars since he was born. His mother worked as a nurse on the shipyard and his father built ships for a local ship building company, DuroDelve Industries.

From a young age Kran has been very curious. When he was three he boarded his visiting uncle's brand new YT-510 and accidentally (or not) took off with it, orbited Duro once, and returned it to its place. Stunned, his parents asked him how he did it. Kran just replied with a simple "It was easy".

As a teen Kran flew many kinds of ships. He discovered that he liked commanding larger ships such as YTs, Gallofrees, Bulks, and even the occasional Bayonet or other capital ships, than small fighters like X-wings or Cloakshapes. Kran had an ambitious dream to fly every ship that he could until his death.

Unfortunately, when he was on Duro for a school field trip, A group of pirates lead by a menacing Hutt named Chowda, raided his home shipyard(Dun, Dun, Dun). They killed his father and captured his mother. As Kran returned to the devastated shipyard, he swore that he would find his mother and end the pirate leader's life. He hopped onto his father's beat up Cloakshape, the Bantha's Bum, stored on a neighboring space station, and went to Tatooine, where he was sure he could find some answers, from the Hutt leader's rival, Omna the Hutt. Upon reaching Mos Eisley, Kran was able to score a meeting with Omna. He rented a speeder to take to Omna's small palace. Inside Omna's throne room Kran told the "magnificent" Hutt the story and he asked for help on discovering Chowda's location. Omna agreed to help only because Chowda had taken more than half of one of his Twilek slave shipments.

Omna told him that he should first look on Nar Shada where Chowda had his main base. He also informed him that he would contact him if any more information became available. With that, Kran went back to where the Bantha's Bum was docked to find that it wasn't there. He asked around but got no leads. Once he accepted his last piece of his old life was gone, Kran decided to contact Omna who gave him a slightly used YT-1210 to finish his task. Kran named the YT-1210 Hutt's Demise and left Tatooine.

Once on Nar Shadaa Kran met some contacts of Omna who told him the exact location of Chowda's base. Kran then proceeded to it and asked to join Chowda's staff as a chef. He spent close to six months working to get promoted to head chef so he could directly control the food that got to Omna. He knew he wanted to poison Omna but he had to find the right one because he had a Twilek taste tester. He finally found something that was not harmful to Twileks, but deadly to Hutts. He slipped into Chowda's food. A few minutes after Chowda's death, it was pure chaos. In the chaos, Kran was able to slip onto the dead Hutt's Longprobe and escape Nar Shadaa. He set his course for Duro for his task was complete.

Instead of returning to a shipyard, Kran went to the planet and sold the Longprobe. He contacted Tytus Escorting Inc. that he would like to join their ranks. He worked for Tytus for about five months until he left because Tytus just wasn't for him. He then contacted The Commerce Guild to become a Pilot in their Logistics Department. He was assigned to the Bulk Freighter CG Unkov for his work. He worked very diligently and was rewarded with a promotion to the Director of Sales, a position Kran loves.A Brief History: Born on a small space station orbiting Duro, Kran Chan has felt at home in the stars since he was born. Advancement

Kran worked very hard in the Logistics department, focusing on completing his tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible. His great work ethic and effort was noticed by Commerce Guild administration, and he was quickly promoted, making his way all the way up to the Director of Sales. In his new position, Krans work ethic helped him quite well. He enjoyed the job and working with the Clients of the CG. After the Commerce Guild left the public sector of sales, Kran found himself dealing with the just CIS factions. After a CG administration shakeup early in Year 10, Kran was promoted to the company's Chief Operations Officer.
