Born in a small village on Togoria, Kusanagi’s birth was something of an event. His rare blue fur made him the talk of the village but not in a good way. Most of them saw the color as a birth defect. He would not be able to hide himself in the brush to hunt or stalk, so he would be of no use. Despite the constant suggestions to leave him in the wild to die, Kusanagi’s mother refused to give him that fate. His father however saw the color as an impurity and rejected Kusanagi as his own flesh and blood. Kusanagi spent most of youth and childhood in solitude being shunned and excluded by most of the village. His mother being the only person he had to look after him. Instead of becoming withdrawn, Kusanagi became more of a thrill seeker, finding different ways to entertain himself rather than sulk and be gloomy. He became self-efficient. Without his father, he taught himself what he needed to know to survive.

He had just reached adulthood when the Triumvirate Coalition discovered Togoria. After seeing the space ships that the Coalitioners arrived in, Kusanagi no longer found thrill in riding on Mosgoth. He set his sights on piloting a ship and flying across the galaxy. Any free time he had was spent talking to the Coalitioners learning about them and where they come from. The language barrier presented a small problem at first, but Kusanagi quickly learned Galactic Basic. With the arrival of the Triumvirate Coalition also came others from different sectors and planets who saw Togorians as feral creatures rather than the sentient species they were. His last day on Togoria, bounty hunters tried to kill him for his rare blue pelt. He fought them off killing one. At that moment, he knew his place wasn’t on Togoria. He took the dead bounty hunter’s Mandolorian armor then took the first ship to Pesmenben III.

After graduating from the Triumvirate Academy, Kusanagi joined the Coalition’s Logistics department and got his wish to fly many different ships and explore the galaxy. He settled well in his new found home finally feeling he had found his place. Later, Kusanagi met a Bothan woman named Jukier Chrangold. It was love at first sight for him, even after she heartlessly knocked the wind out of him in a sparing match. He finally did beat Jukier and won her love. As he continued his Logistics career, she made her way into the marine corp. They kept a long distance relationship and visited each other from time to time. Kusanagi eventually returned to his home world for a brief vacation at the request of his love. While on Togoria, he proposed to Jukier. Although not the smoothest proposal, Jukier ultimately accepted his engagement.

As time went on, Kusanagi grew tired of the long period in hyperspace. He no longer got a thrill from his trips through out the galaxy. He struggled along time with the decision to leave Logistics, but in time, he decided to go through with the switch and enlist into the Marine Corp. He had loved his shipment job and the Logistic department had always been good to him, but he wanted a change and to be closer to his fiancé. He took the Mandolorian armor he acquired so long ago and hired someone to resize it to fit his large stature. With weapon in hand and his newly fitted armor, he began his new career with the Marines.

His marine career didn't last long. While on a reconnaissance mission with his fiancé Jukier, The two became separated after a building collapse. Kusanagi became pinned under the fallen debris. Jukier tried to move the rubble to get to him but it was no use. Kusanagi begged her to go on with out him. The information from the mission was more important than for both of them to die. Jukier left as he wished. A search and rescue party was sent later but the body of Kusanagi Beckham was never found. He was given a marine send off and funeral on Nixor IV.
