Leaked reports on the latest rounds of negotiations over the planet Gantari in the Dellalt system say that they have stalled. These reports have shown that the leader of Nikklon Mining Incorporated, a mining company, is not interested in mining. It has been indicated that the leader, Jeff Corbin, is unwilling to negotiate as someone who is running a mining company. He has clearly stated on record that he wishes to build an empire in the similar image of Eldrik Kuraine. Through the illegal use of security forces and illegal settlements, Corbin desires to build a personal empire. The New Anzat Order was open to letting him use the planet for mining purposes, not personal empire construction. Personal empire construction was not and nor shall ever be on the negotiation table.

Furthermore, Corbin has also stated that he is unwilling to negotiate fair terms. He desires to unfairly tax Anzatan citizens without giving proper payment to the central government and has no respect for the authority of the sovereign government.

The New Anzat Order halted colonization to seek a smooth agreement, but Corbin has illegally constructed new facilities despite a pledge to seek a detente to the crisis. This was done in an obvious ploy to convince the general population that he had legal control. Cities were purchased from other planets, then were illegally and remarkably transported across the galaxy to Gantari. The NAO still remains amazed at this feat; the entire movement of a city is quite an awesome undertaking.

The word that a cease-fire was possible has become all but a vanished idea. Corbin's latest stance has further solidified the position of the highly nationalist Prime Minister Wolfstar to seek resolution with or without the consent of NMI officials, using force if necessary. NAO diplomatic officials have been working hard to seek a fair arrangement limiting the use of force, but they state that it will only be done if Corbin is willing to put aside his personal empire construction ideals and abide sovereign NAO law.
