House Csapla is an ancient [[Chiss]] House that focuses on Capital-class Spaceship piloting and Naval warfare. Before the Houses revival at the hands of [[Csapla'ndre'saeni]] in 27 CGT, Csapla was known for it's status as moderators of Chiss Logistics and Colonial Affairs. It is currently classified as a Vesci house, pending recognition by the Council of Families.

=History=
Much of Csapla's ancient history prior to [[Chiss_Ascendancy#The_Vesci_War(37_BCGT_to_12_BCGT)|The Vesci War]] has eluded modern Chiss historians, with very few surviving records of the house dating back to before CGT eras existing after the destruction of the Chiss Expeditionary Library during the [[Chiss_Ascendancy#Chiss_Civil_Dispute_(11_BCGT_-_2_BCGT)|Chiss Civil Dispute]]. With the house becoming defunct a number of times throughout the periods before and after the Civil Dispute, very few records also exist pertaining to the involvement of House Csapla in the [[Chiss_Ascendancy#Restoration_Era(8_CGT_-_Present)|Restoration Era]] due to a lack of official house librarians existing to catalogue such events.

===Dispute Era===
Over the two decades following the conclusion of the Second Vagaari War, support for the dominance of House Csapla within the Chiss government steadily declined. With the house becoming defunct a number of times throughout the periods before and after the Civil Dispute, very few records also exist pertaining to the involvement of House Csapla in the [[Chiss_Ascendancy#Restoration_Era(8_CGT_-_Present)|Restoration Era]] due to a lack of official house librarians existing to catalogue such events.

The selected games were chosen to test differing aspects of strategic thought, ranging from long-term planning and resource management to tactical adaptation and predictive reasoning. To successfully complete the Trial, a Merit Adoptive must secure victory in at least three of the five matches. The modern form of the Trial is heavily influenced by the Imperial Combat Exercises, a series of training routines commonly undertaken by officers of the Galactic Empire to develop a foundational understanding of hand-to-hand combat and personal defence. Following House Csapla's increased interaction with Imperial institutions, elements of these training principles were incorporated into the House's own traditions, eventually forming the basis of the Trial of the Combatant.
