=Biography=
===Early life===
Kyran William Caelius was born in Xuczal City, on the planet [[Thyferra]], to educator Kasimir Caelius and his wife Isolde Kaine. His father was Thyferran, also born in Xuczal, while his mother was of Hapan descent. Caelius lived on Thyferra until at age 5, following the birth of his younger brother [[Kristijan Caelius|Kristijan]], his parents chose to move to the capital city of [[The Galaxy|Empress Teta]], Cinnagar, to live nearer the Kaine family estate. They believed a dominant [[Human]] environment, rather than one heavily influenced by the [[Vratix]], would offer greater intellectual stimulation and opportunity for their children.

Living comfortably on the [[Galactic_Empire|Imperial]] world, Caelius's father was able to retire, electing to focus exclusively on instructing the Caelius brothers and their younger cousin, Lilith Kaine. Though initially, the relationship between Kyran and Lilith was one of a forced teaching environment, over time their kinship thrived, establishing a long-time friendship. More fervently, however, Caelius eventually developed a distinctly fraternal bond with his elder cousin, [[Gabriel Kaine]]. As he grew older, these relationships would flourish into a sense of belonging, and an ideological basis for Caelius's strong beliefs in familial bonds.

As a teenager, a pervasive recklessness and aggression developed in Caelius's demeanor. Often spending his nights on Empress Teta in [[ryll]] fueled euphoria, he learned to use dexterity in order to best sentients in street games. Frequently promiscuous and under the influence of various substances, he took to distractions of manipulation, conning the cons and testing the waters of black markets. When he wasn't scheming, he resorted to the creation of art and eventually vandalism to fill his time. The subject of his art differed greatly, varying from simple caricatured culture references, forays to the macabre, and less frequently political statements.

It was due to his talents and outspoken behaviors, that an extremist [[Human|humanocentric]] movement contacted, and eventually radicalized the young Thyferran. His natural diplomacy skills were immediately used to benefit the speciesist' endeavors. When cunning failed to achieve the movement's goals, Caelius used his talents in the arts for the creation of propaganda. For years his radicalized behaviors persisted, and as Caelius reached college age he was convinced by his fellows to attend the University of Coruscant, in order to further his crafts for the cause. Thus, in [[Year 4]], utilizing Asenour Kaine's connections to secure admittance to the university, he left to begin his life on Coruscant.

}}Initially Caelius joined the International Relations program, and began his studies with a focus on advanced economic aspects of international relations. Given his teenage experiences, in this he excelled for the first year of his education. However, before beginning his second, he was approached by Civil Engineering staff at the university who believed his mind was better suited to planetary development. While hesitant to change his focus, given the reason for attending, some of his radical ideology had tempered without consistent influences. His decision was made, when the staff appealed to his narcissism, painting a picture of his potential influences on the worlds he could advance.

Enrolling in both the Architectural and Structural Engineering programs, Caelius exceeded expectations. In a hologram to a colleague, one of his Professors described his abilities, "When he looks at a planet, his mind sees the future through its potential. He doesn't see bare ground, but the evolution of a world from the architectural potential which lies within it to the metropolis which could flourish above it. His capacity to envision each plausible component is outstanding." In [[Year 6]] the head of the Kaine house, Herbert Kaine, was executed for treason by the [[Galactic Empire]]. This event deeply affected his family, and the psychological stress furthered the already significant reliance on vices, despite his young age. While studying at the university, he also met [[Draelor Nah`utal]], quickly becoming friends with his eventual Imperial ally.

Graduating in [[Year 8]], Caelius had varied considerations to take into account for his future. Deciding to continue honing his craft, he set off on a six-year leave to explore the galaxy, specifically the genesis of observable architectural cultural diversity. At each planet, he explored disparate colonies and cities, in order to study the origin, design, and integration of society with its natural environment. Though he refused to utilize communicators while visiting inchoate communities, Caelius maintained semi-frequent contact with his family whenever his travels brought him to urbanized environments.

It was during his travels that Caelius began sporting his beard, not for fashion but convenience. While visiting a small primal colony in the forests of [[Gannaria (Planet) | Gannaria]], he was offered a tattoo of a stylized [[eye-snatcher]], a revered bird within their people, as a parting gift. Having it placed on his left outer collar, this would become the first of many in a long tradition.

===The Family===
Visiting the city of Imthitill, on the [[Aqualish]] homeworld of [[Ando_(Planet)|Ando]], Caelius decided he had spent enough time traveling the galaxy; finally, he felt his experiences would allow him to build worlds befitting his visions. Finishing his business on the planet, he gathered his belongings and immediately began travel to the planet of [[Vorsia Companion]] where he had received an offer of employment. Arriving on [[Year 14|Year 14 Day 217]] he worked as an Administrator, helping with the city development and organization of Dark Skies Gearworks.

In returning to the civilized world, Caelius also endeavored to expand his connections with non-GA governments. This goal was two-fold: he wanted to offer his services to the various sects of the galaxy, but he further hoped to establish connections with like-minded sentients. In studying various governments, House Soyak-Ikron of the [[Avance Coalition]] most appealed to Caelius's values. After an expedient application and interview process, he joined the House and its Political Caste.

While working within House Soyak-Ikron, a series of events led to Caelius's decision to serve Avance full-time. This proved to be short-lived, however, as after meeting and marrying his first wife [[Leigh Kellan]], he moved his life to [[Malicar (Planet)|Malicar]]. Electing to work for [[White Star]], he believed the Black Sun ideology was more appropriate to the lens through which he viewed the galaxy. Despite his career change, this did not slow his efficiency within Avance, and eventually, Lord Protectorate [[Navik Ikron]] named Caelius as Arch Lord of House Soyak-Ikron, the second-in-command and leader of the Political Caste.

Likewise, within the Black Sun collective, Caelius's devotion was immediately apparent and quickly he earned his place in the Black Sun Family, becoming White Star's second-in-command. From this position, his staunch work ethic elevated him to the Consiglio and after a relatively short period, his continued efforts led to his invitation into Black Sun's [[Black Sun Family Council|Family Council]] as Vigo, by [[Leader of Black Sun|Underlord]] [[Alexander von Ismay]] on [[Year 15|Year 15 Day 60]]. His first Vigo role was that of Vigo of Negotiation, beginning on Year 15 Day 72. His fidelity was further recognized on Year 15 Day 221, by joint promotion to the Family's second-in-command position, Regent, with his wife, before he additionally became the role of Vigo of Shadows on Year 15 Day 246. Given his central government roles, Caelius decided to further his education by pursuing an advanced Doctoral degree in management at his alma mater following his second Vigo role appointment.

The Regents oversaw Black Sun operations while the Underlord attended to Black Sun's more distant galactic holdings. Beneath their rule, the Collective made many advancements towards legitimization. However, when Underlord Ismay returned in late Year 15, Caelius decided to take another small sabbatical, stating he would return after the New Year. Though the need for Regents was removed with the Underlord's active return, Vigo Caelius retained his position as a member of the Family Council. While control of Black Watch was returned to the Underlord's direct duties, he maintained his position as the Vigo of Negotiation. However, following the [[Avance Coalition]] and [[Trade Federation]] merger, Caelius's membership within House Soyak-Ikron was forcibly terminated due to the Trade Federation's stance on Black Sun.

As the Vigo of Negotiation, Caelius appointed former Vigo [[Ahsas Rotciv Maharg]] to the position of his second-in-command, Minister of Culture, while additionally taking the role of Interim Vigo of Infrastructure. Following the declaration of sovereignty of Black Sun, and after months of planning successes, Caelius's role in Infrastructure was cemented. The governmental office was well-suited to Caelius's educational background and personal passions. Given a new Black Sun policy of one office per Councillor, the torch of Negotiation was passed to Vigo Maharg on [[Year 16|Year 16 Day 248]]. After overseeing the ongoing development of [[Revyia IV]], Caelius eventually retired from all duties on [[Year 17|Year 17 Day 68]]. Though no public statement was made, rumors attributed his retirement to an aura of disrespect and mistrust within the Family under Underlord Alexander von Ismay.

During his retirement, in late Year 17, Caelius was infected with the [[Metamorphosis Plague]]. Suffering from vertigo and an insatiable thirst, Caelius immediately sought medical care at the [[Black Sun Governance|University of Malicar's]] health research facilities. After running numerous tests, it was determined that Caelius had contracted the galaxy's most prolific virus. Caelius was provided with a post-exposure prophylaxis which halted the plague's progress. Researchers informed Caelius that his genetic code would persistently include an immunological memory of the virus, but that the changes associated with the plague were staved off. Though it took some time to recover from his illness, following Dark Prince [[Jeor Knight|Jeor Knight's]] ascension, Caelius's retirement ended, and after a year of service, on [[Year 18|Year 18 Day 129]] he rejoined the Family Council as the Vigo of Interior, formerly Negotiation, once more. Additionally, in late Year 18 Caelius completed his doctorate of philosophy in management from the University of Coruscant, with a specialization in 'Organizations and Management'.

===Solitude===
Caelius faithfully served as a member of Dark Prince Knight's Family Council for nearly 3 years, however, on [[Year 21|Year 21 Day 36]] he once more decided to resign from his position as Vigo. Joining the Consiglio as a Councillor Emeritus, the now-former Vigo swiftly withdrew from the very spirited and hedonistic public life which had defined him over the previous near-decade. Though members of Black Sun maintained contact with him, and [[Natasha Kaine]]—speaking on behalf of House Kaine—assured inquirers that her eldest cousin retained full control of their family estates, Caelius's public interactions otherwise diminished almost in their entirety. When his offices on Lorpfan were pressed for comment, a short statement was released that stated, "I have always valued privacy in my personal life and I'm no longer the professional face of anything. While I realize our galaxy thrives on idle gossip, I've little reason to offer myself as the source."

After retiring, Caelius’s galactic profile outside of Black Sun and Imperial Union circles diminished considerably. He made only occasional appearances at major events such as the biannual Uli-ah Gafsa Memorial Swap Meets and Galaxy Fest. In early [[Year 26]], he returned to a more public role as Minister of Culture on the Black Sun Continuing Committee of the Ministry of Interior. The appointment echoed his former position as Vigo of Interior, allowing him to continue his work in cultural and administrative leadership on a more focused scale.

Tall for a human and muscularly lean, as is often seen in [[Thyferran|Thyferrans]] and [[Hapan|Hapans]], Caelius stands at 2.03 meters and weighs 108.86 kilograms.

For much of his adult life, he was covered in tattoos that extended from his face to his feet. Most were completed on a unique planet, with each abstractly representing the core experience of the culture from which it originated. However, in late Year 25, he underwent full-body dermal regeneration using bacta immersion and targeted synthflesh application, removing the ink that had once defined much of his outward identity. Caelius described the decision as a personal evolution. “My skin carried the story of everywhere I’ve been. Change is part of growth, and I chose to renew myself for what comes next. My history remains, whether or not it’s visible.”

Though he has always held a keen fixation on physical fitness, Caelius previously suffered weakness in his non-dominant right arm. Having elected to have the internal organic structure of his arm enhanced with cybernetics, faulty connections in the arm's neural networks contradicted any intended benefits. However, his impairments were repaired in late [[Year 21]] when, after a grueling three-day surgery, Doctor [[Spree Razzix]] finished a restoration on the damaged arm using newly discovered and highly experimental medical techniques. As part of his obsession with personal fitness, Caelius has focused on flexibility and dexterity since young adulthood, in addition to working towards becoming a master of unarmed combat techniques. He began studying boxing during university, and continued to hone his skills during his first sabbatical, finding new Masters under which to study and new styles to learn, such as k'Jtari, Gravik-nez, and Wrruushi. His enthusiasm for physical fitness further extends into sports. He was the owner of the Malicar Howlrunners, a bolo-ball team in the [[Black Sun Bolo-ball League]]. Furthermore, he served as Captain for and played the position of Center on the [[Asation Outlaws]], a shockball team in the [[Galactic Shockball League]]. Due to his Hapan lineage, Caelius suffers from some minor night blindness.

Stylistically, Caelius is diverse in his choices, his wardrobe conforming to the demands of his environment. Casually, he wears simple tee shirts or button-ups, denym pants, and boots. However, more frequently, he is at home in formal attire; his most common wardrobe appears to be three-piece suits. For work, he often wears a thick jumpsuit in order to protect himself from the persistent particulate hazards. His eyes—originally a deep brown—are a red tone, a physical sign of corruption caused by half a decade of his closest relationships being with people who would eventually connect with and succumb to the Dark Side of the Force. His usually long, often coiffed locks are a dark sepia, though he has been known to sport shorter hair with blonde tones. Though for much of his life he displayed shorter facial hair, since late [[Year 10]] he has worn a full beard which is meticulously groomed at all times; given its rarity, it has become a trademark of his appearance. He has occasionally, and rarely, shaved it, but has always grown it back. Though the resemblance between Caelius and his father was often noted prior to Year 10, since growing the full beard—a style which his father has worn for many years—the resemblance has become even more pronounced.

===Personality===
Throughout his higher education, Caelius was regarded by his fellows as handsome, charming, intelligent, and kind. However, others have described him as egocentric, cunning, and at times quick to anger. Known for his proneness to boredom, frequently he has exhibited impulsive and irresponsible behaviors in order to cull his listlessness. Despite the conflicting accounts of his personality, it has often been noted that while appearing serious and brooding, his conversational demeanor is warm, and one of amiable sarcastic wit. Yet as Caelius has aged, his personality has hardened some, his more charismatic behaviors seemingly reserved for professional or deeply personal interactions. Those with whom Caelius interacted during his second sabbatical remarked that following his divorce he became more guarded, leading to an increased solitude.

When questioned about galactic politics, Caelius has favored the [[Imperial Union]] for its stance against the [[Galactic Alliance|Galactic Alliance's]], "ideological deficiencies [and role as] the self-proclaimed saviors of the sentient condition." He has further supported the [[Galactic Concordiate]] for their rejection of the [[Galactic Alliance|Alliance]]. On the occasions Caelius has been publicly involved in political deliberations, he has demonstrated an ability to utilize eloquence in order to garner support for his viewpoints.

Around those with whom Caelius is close, he has demonstrated a candid capability for affection and devout loyalty. Within his close interpersonal relationships, a clear sense of willing vulnerability and sincerity has been observed between him and those he calls friends. However, the frequency in which he has engaged in deep connections has always appeared limited. Specifically, those known to populate his inner circle are limited effectively to the Black Sun Family and House Kaine, with few exceptions.

Despite being the grandson of Edith Kaine, Caelius failed to foster close relationships with his first cousins. Rather, due to being raised with the Hazel Kaine lineage, his second cousins became the family members with whom he most identified. Though he had a brother, Caelius's relationship with the twins [[Gabriel Kaine|Gabriel]] and [[Reina Kaine]] was distinctly fraternal and sororal, respectively. While the twins' corporation, [[Holowan Mechanicals]] aligned with the Galactic Alliance, familial bonds preempted political expectations for many years. However, in early Year 17, the merger of Holowan and [[Sha`kage]] into [[The Resistance]] led to Caelius forsaking House Kaine. Despite his self-exile, in mid Year 17 Caelius became Archon of House Kaine due to the unexpected retirement of Gabriel Kaine. Unfortunately the bloodlines of Edith and Hazel Kaine continued to experience a rift of allegiances, as House Kaine formally aligned itself with Black Sun despite the New Republic alignment of The Resistance.

Caelius's closest familial relationship is with his brother, Kristijan. Though they had scarce contact during Caelius's sabbatical, upon his return their bond was instantly reformed. Since joining Black Sun, Kristijan has served as an integral member of Caelius's crew, acting as the lead member of his personal administration. Kristijan has also acted as personal security for Caelius on many occasions. Caelius's second-closest familial relationship is with his second cousin once removed, [[Natasha Kaine]]. Charged with the murder of her rapist on [[Danuta]], Kaine was exiled from the [[Halla]] sector and sent to live with Caelius, by her father [[Gabriel Kaine]]. Those close to Caelius have commented that he and Natasha Kaine have bonded through their shared destructive tendencies.

Known for self-indulgence, Caelius has been the subject of much gossip regarding intimate relationships with men and women. However, he has continuously sparsely commented. In Year 14, Caelius was introduced to [[Leigh Kellan]], via his employer. Characteristic to Caelius's preference for privacy, their relationship was initially secret: "I take solstice in the fact that I control my own words. Others can do and say what they like. If I don't open my life to the public realm, however, it retains a certain intimate solitude that I value." It was later released that on [[Year 14|Year 14 Day 291]], the two were married in a private ceremony. Despite years of positive public appearances, Kellan elected to end the marriage while Caelius was on his second sabbatical. In late Year 17, Caelius began dating [[Zeltron]]/[[Kiffar]] [[Astrid Sarka]], showing a stark departure from the xenophobic ideals of his youth and culminating in a serious, nearly year long entanglement. When asked why he was so public about this relationship, and how he thought people viewed he and Sarka's evolution from colleagues to partners, Caelius stated, "We wanted to be as honest as possible, and really about two people discovering each other ... it really marks the beginning of this relationship that is ever-changing and learning about one another." Caelius has historically been an adamant opponent of sentient equality, though his beliefs have lessened. Having been raised from an early age to embrace [[Human|humanocentric]] views, his thoughts on sentient equality were further compounded by the staunch [[Galactic Empire|Imperial]] atmosphere of the [[Coruscant|University of Coruscant]]. As an ideological basis for his support of galactic non-human speciesism, Caelius has argued that human superiority has existed through the universe as a natural state. He has further cited the consistent triumphs of humans over others as galactic leaders. While his radical viewpoint diminished some during his engineering sabbatical, the Year 16 leave of absence further abated his xenophobic ideals. Though he maintains the belief in human superiority, antagonism of non-humans has dissipated. His view of the colorful humanoid races (i.e. Chiss, Falleen, Mirialan, and Zeltron) has experienced a complete shift, with Caelius viewing them positively even though he still believes Humans are superior. For most of Caelius's life, he held no spiritual convictions. Rather, he firmly rejected the belief in any deity and would openly challenge theists; his combativeness was particularly evident when sentients would attempt to proselytize the Thyferran Hapan hybrid. Although existing in more nebulous forms for hundreds of years, an organization recognizable as the current Black Sun was first mustered under the Dark Princess [[Gabriella Storm]]. Opening its business front on [[Year 0|Year 0 Day 5]], under Storm, Black Sun thrived and, by [[Year 1]], had established itself ostensibly as a reputable trading concern. According to accounts from the period, the first Dark Princess eventually grew bored with continuing success and faked her own death in order to escape the group ([[Year 0|Year 0 Day 318]]). The existing pattern of loyalties, when confronted with the sudden departure of the Dark Princess, created a rift in the organization. Many who were loyal to Storm reasoned that where their leader went they must follow and so they departed. For the first time the leadership of the Sun was shaken and the organization set to tear itself apart.

===The First Interregnum===

Following Storm's departure, there were company loyalty games which divided Black Sun internally. Many members of Black Sun were enticed with financial opportunities, while others were motivated purely by a desire to change. In order to address these concerns, Dark Prince [[Blood]] assumed the position of interim ruler and attempted to quell the chaos.<ref name="Old Black Sun History" /> He did his best to stabilize Black Sun in a very difficult time and was instrumental in foiling several attempted coups. However, Blood did not wish to remain as leader of the organization and desired to abdicate. After a lengthy deliberation between the high command, a new leader was chosen: Keevan Colton.

Dark Prince [[Keevan Colton]] assumed the mantle of ruler on [[Year 1|Year 1 Day 318]] and gradually stabilized the organization. However, like his predecessor Dark Prince Blood, Keevan had never wanted the position of leader and quickly set about training a successor. Electing to step down once an appropriate successor was available, he appointed Qel Dar as the new leader.

===Galactic Development===

Dark Prince [[Qel Dar]] immediately centralized Black Sun's power structure, before declaring war upon the [[Hapes Consortium]] and creating diplomatic ties to the [[Falleen Federation]], due to his membership in the [[Huruk-Rah|Huruk-Rah clan]]. Qel Dar also took as his protégé the galactic businessman [[Kosh Naranek]], who was the former governor of [[Lorell]]. Together, they pushed construction on [[Lorell]] and [[Dathomir]], in an effort to wrest control from Hapes ([[Year 3|Year 3 Day 107]]). They further pushed to take control of the bog-world of [[Nal Hutta]] from the [[Hutt Council]]. The reason for their sudden push towards war is still unknown. Unfortunately, Qel Dar's ambitious plans to wrest territory from [[Hapes Consortium|Hapes]] and [[Hutt Council]] both failed. Despite his other works as Dark Prince, Qel Dar's plan to seize the planet Lorell was his most grandiose action, and his failure there irrevocably marred his reign. These events would come to be known as the [[Black Sun Crisis]]. Dark Prince [[Plojo Rosom]] set out to reconstruct Black Sun, dividing the collective up and appointing Lords, each with the responsibility of conquering volumes of space. Each of these task forces would be a microcosm of the way Black Sun itself had been run in the past and the Family grew to its largest point since its inception under Dark Princess Storm. Freed from the day-to-day management of territory and assets Rosom could take on larger issues and those of personal interest. Realizing the Sun's need for military muscle, Rosom contracted mercenary groups among these was [[Irv Howie]], a petty warlord based in the [[Jospro|Jospro sector]]. This mercenary's relationship with [[Xya Howie|Tee ubo Tarkona]] (then fiancé to the [[Greyson Uebles|Emperor Uebles]]). These events drew Irv Howie into conflict with the Galactic Empire. Tee fled Imperial space aboard her YV-666 the "Leap of Faith" to join with Howie's fleet just outside the [[Sullust]] system, it was here she changed her name and appearance to avoid pursuit. Tee became Xyanax Jasper and then Xya Howie after the pair married and combined their resources into a new group, the Shadow Walkers, which was hidden from those who were not members. During this period of self-interest, Rosom further granted asylum to [[Tara Tylger]], another exile hunted by the [[Galactic Empire]]. In retaliation, the Empire declared war upon Black Sun. Dark Prince Rosom married [[Avalon Larkin]] on [[Year 4|Year 4 Day 159]], and when the war with the Galactic Empire fizzled, Rosom decided to retire to the life of self-endeavors he had created for himself.

Despite being an exile of the Galactic Empire, under Dark Prince Rosom, Xya Howie led The Shadow Walkers in their task to remove Family members who broke their pact with the Sun. It was her successes here and in other arenas, alongside Tara Tylger, which led to her appointment as Rosom's successor. Because Dark Princess Howie had led Black Sun through many dangers, she was beloved by many of its members. Slowly, Black Sun became self-sufficient and gained more members by seizing control of smaller organizations. Under this mantle, she created a Black Market which set up to sell rare and expensive technology anonymously through Black Sun as an intermediary. Ironically, the two principal sources of military goods for the [[Black_Market_Re-opens._New_Auctioneer_Found._Kiffex_declared_out-of-bounds.|Black Market]] were Emperor Uebles, who was faced with the prospect of either, working with BS or continuing hostilities against them, and Irv Howie, who maintained volatile relations with his now ex-wife the Dark Princess and her organization. Through Irv Howie's relationship with Black Sun, he and business partner [[Adam A Flynn]] were gifted the [[SoroSuub Corporation|SoroSuub]] shipbuilding company. SoroSuub began its golden age around [[Year 5|Year 5 Day 181]], very loosely interwoven into the Sun and indebted to the Sun due to its foundational relationship. However, despite her successes, Howie only ruled Black Sun for eight months before retiring.

Dark Prince [[Joseph Roscha]] reign was short, only three months, before continued disagreements with the former Dark Princess prompted a turn of events that saw him expelled from the group and Dark Princess Xya's return to the throne, until her and Irv Howie's death due to ship malfunction. Dark Princess [[Tara Tylger]]'s reign was equally short. The specifics of her downfall are unknown but most historians believe it was caused by a massacre she ordered on Kiffex. Dark Prince [[Camaris sa Vinitta]] was unable to bring to stop the rampant squabbles and, during his brief tenure, the organization was sundered again. Predicting this eventuality, Camaris had groomed a successor who now stepped in to restore control to the fractured group: [[Daa`iata Tnaysc]]. During the reign of Dark Princess Tnaysc, the [[SoroSuub Corporation|SoroSuub Conglomerate]] had pushed forward the creation of a massive city-world on [[Galalryn]], eventually becoming the leading Galactic Government, replacing the Galactic Empire. Meanwhile, Count Adam A Flynn was heavily involved with Black Sun, supporting Tnaysc's efforts to rebuild. Unfortunately, due to external events her reign did not last long and given their professional relationship, she handed control over to Dark Prince [[Adam A Flynn]]. In such a short period Black Sun had undergone tremendous political turbulence. SoroSuub was willing to contribute massive amounts of credits to sustain the syndicate but to no avail. Rivalry among the remaining Family members made their position untenable and Black Sun was gutted. The group was held as part of the SoroSuub Conglomerate, stripped of all but its Kiffex holdings, the flagship [[Darkstar Battleship]] and a fleet of [[Comparison_of_Fighters|vipers]].

===Revival===
Dark Prince [[Adam A. Flynn]] saw many changes. Under him, Black Sun was now part of the SoroSuub conglomerate led by Ingo Vailis. Flynn and Vailis debated the future of Black Sun but neither would afford to divert time from the development of SoroSuub to repair the collective. At this time, SoroSuub merged with the [[Rebel Alliance]] to form the [[New Republic]]. As events came to a head with the merger, Black Sun was forgotten almost completely. Dark Prince Flynn and Count Vailis had never been able to answer the question of how to restore the group and so it languished, neglected.

The New Republic outlined plans to transform Black Sun into [[Republic Trading]], severing the group from its criminal past and setting it on the course for a legitimate future as a trade consortium. Flynn and Vailis proposed a deal to sell the group to [[Teniel Djo]] with the hopes that a pirate could become a solid candidate as the new leader of organized crime in the galaxy. The idea of selling to a pirate sickened the moral majority in the New Republic. The Chief of State and leader of the Republic, Ingo R. Vailis, unable to reconcile his past and current identities or achieve his goals within the framework of the Republic, pushed on the deal. However, the citizens of the New Republic rallied against what they saw as unethical behavior and, on [[Year 8|Year 8 Day 310]], they passed a vote of no confidence in [[Chief of State]] Vailis. Vailis hid himself on [[Sulon]] and there he met with Adam A Flynn, [[Corvis Orion]] and other key individuals to plan their response.

On [[Year 8|Year 8 Day 338]] Vailis began sending orders to Black Sun agents in the New Republic. He ordered the deaths of several key political opponents and the transfer of massive amounts of military technology and credits into Black Sun. ===Legitimization===

After the events of the New Republic coup had calmed down, [[Corvis Orion]] having served an integral leadership role in the reclamation of the Black Sun identity, took up the mantle of Dark Prince in [[Year 10]]. His leadership is remembered for smoothing out the political turbulence which had shaken the syndicate. Under Dark Prince Orion, Black Sun acquired [[The Azure Empire]] and opened other relations. The Sun also took steps to absorb much of [[Hyrotii Corporation|Hyrotii Corporation's]] resources by indoctrinating Sector Managers and bribing Administrators, leading to its nationalization as a Black Sun company.

After reigning nearly two years, Orion stepped down to focus on nurturing his connection to the force. He was succeeded by [[Tar Alaks]], who also relinquished the title of Dark Prince in favor of the title of Lord Marshal. In an attempt to solidify his new position, Lord Marshal Alaks required every member of Black Sun to reaffirm their oath to the Family. Alaks also succeeded in organizing a take-over of both [[Aurora Technologies]] and [[Aurora Mining Technologies]] which were absorbed into Black Sun. [[Aurora Technologies]] was reborn as a Black Sun nationalized ships producer.

Following Alaks stepping down, Dark Prince [[Banquo Knox]] began his rein, choosing to continue the return to the focus of Family within the organization. Additionally, Knox worked hard to keep diplomatic bridges open between Black Sun and other governments striving for a degree of legitimization. In keeping with these ideals, on [[Year 13|Year 13 Day 209]] Black Sun was renamed to [[The Veragi Consortium]]. However, the change in name would be a relatively short lived affair with it becoming Black Sun again on [[Year 13|Year 13 Day 264]]. Throughout his galactic exploits, Dark Prince Knox had developed a diplomatic relationship with the Lord [[Seele]] of the [[Galactic Empire]]. The animosity of the pass had seemingly been quelled by shared political, economic, and military goals. It was through this relationship, that Black Sun became one of the original signatories of the restructured [[Imperial Union]], alongside the [[Tresario Star Kingdom]] on [[Year 13|Year 13 Day 326]]. Knox saw further legitimate success through the sale of [[Aurora Technologies]], and the creation of a uniquely Black Sun shipbuilder, [[White Star]].

===The Modern Black Sun===

Eventually, the strain of leading Black Sun through a period of transition proved too great for Dark Prince Knox. His public presence waned as he withdrew from active leadership, and although his reign prioritized strengthening the Family, the collective had not yet reconnected with its deeper roots in unity and brotherhood. Seeking to restore those values, Dark Princess [[Cait Catra]] was named his successor. She soon stepped down, and her wife [[Niobe Asha]] briefly held leadership under the title of Empress. Their combined rule lasted only 120 galactic days, a period now referred to as the "Lost Year."

In [[Year 14]], [[Alexander von Ismay]] assumed leadership of Black Sun, electing to use the title of Underlord. His tenure followed the instability of prior transitions and was marked by a desire to restore order. Early into his rule, several changes were enacted across the collective’s upper structure. Multiple members of the Family Council were removed and replaced, while internal policy shifted to emphasize organizational discipline.

Much of the progress attributed to this period came from the efforts of the restructured Family Council. It was during this time that key industrial subsidiaries were formed, replacing legacy institutions from the Lost Year. These entities would later play a critical role in the collective’s long-term infrastructure and economic development.

In early [[Year 17]], Underlord Ismay stepped down from his position. On Year 17 Day 97, power was formally transferred to his Regent and Vigo of Defense, the new Dark Prince [[Jeor Knight]]. In [[Year 21]], following the collapse of the New Republic, Black Sun acquired [[Merr-Sonn Technologies]], which gradually became the central hub of its production network. By Year 25, both Shobquix and Gesenix were dissolved, with their roles absorbed into Merr-Sonn and internal divisions, marking a shift toward fully integrated operations.

After serving as Dark Prince for over nine years, the longest reign in Black Sun’s history by a significant margin, Knight formally abdicated leadership. His tenure provided the collective with lasting stability, administrative clarity, and deliberate growth. ==Structure==

The Black Sun industrial syndicate is comprised of the Collective and the Family. The Collective represents Black Sun's industrial and infrastructural endeavors, including it's material management, architectural development, and industrial production companies. Each company within the Collective is run by a Chief Executive Officer and a Chief Operating Officer; those who hold these positions may be any Family rank. The Black Sun Family is a private institution, renown for its historical exploits, primarily: smuggling, trafficking, corporate espionage, information brokerage, and infiltration. Little is known publicly about the Black Sun Family beyond its leadership structure, hierarchy, and involvement in previous criminal engagements.

The Dark Prince is the supreme leader of Black Sun. Holding sole decision power, the Dark Prince is responsible for shaping Black Sun policy in all arenas. Given his role as leader of Collective undertakings, his decisions are responsible for strengthening corporate security, mass mobilization efficiency, and economic prosperity. Additionally, due to the Family's behavioral foundation in, "Family, Honour, and Profit" the Dark Prince serves as the ideological exemplar for the Family's ethical code. While the Dark Prince is the primary decision maker within the Black Sun syndicate, he is advised and supported heavily by the Family Council.

The Family Council is headed by the Dark Prince, and otherwise composed of Dark Prince chosen Family who are appointed to the rank of Vigo. Of the nine Vigo seats, three are reserved for Shadow Vigos and primarily advisory Vigos, while six Vigo seats operate as the heads of Black Sun departments. Though this style of organization originated under [[Plojo Rosom|Dark Prince Rosom]], and has existed loosely since his reign, it was further formalized beneath Underlord Ismay and Dark Prince Knight. ===Culture===

Black Sun culture is ultra-hedonistic, with firmly held zealotry towards the Family Council. Most within Black Sun domains share a belief system centered around the attainment of pleasure, both physical and mental. Cultural philosophy holds that gratification is momentary and thus the universal aim for all sentients is the consistent realization of satisfaction. To this end, all forms of behavioural deviance are socially accepted. Sentients are free to do as they wish, so long as their actions do not impinge upon others or violate rules set by the Family Council. Any luxury, drug, or vice is available for a price in Black Sun territory.

Economic inequality is a present in many Black Sun planets. While poverty if significant in some areas, soaring pleasure palaces dominate the skylines elsewhere. Black Sun does little to actively alleviate this issue, however, anyone wishing to escape poverty is granted an opportunity to work in one of the Collective operations or by serving in the Blades, where they are paid one of the best entrance salaries in the galaxy. However, Black Sun expects excellence from its employees and failure to perform or abide by rules and regulations will result in immediate termination of employment at best.

Given the lenient laws in Black Sun space, it has become a burgeoning tourist destination and tax haven for the rich and wealthy of galaxy. With their money, Black Sun provides the utmost in privacy and secrecy should visitors wish to keep their reputations clean when they return to more puritan systems.

Many businesses have moved their operations to Black Sun territory to escape crippling corporate taxes and endless bureaucracy. Corporate espionage is rife, and Black Sun only intervenes to ensure no outright property damage or loss of life occurs. This intense competition has spawned a strong market for security, which Black Sun is happy to help fill.

Competitive sports and card games are exceptionally popular within the incorporated sectors. Though gambling is legal, all betting is patrolled in order to ensure obeisance to Black Sun values. Syndicate territories are also renowned for their lively and multi-species nightlife. Cities within Black Sun territories have varying sizes of amenities, some encompassing entire massive buildings while others are small and secret. Likewise, the offerings range from the luxurious and expensive to options which cater to the average sentient. The world districts dedicated to legalized harlotry are often galactic attractions for those governed by less indulgent sovereigns.

====Code of Conduct====

The Code of Conduct for nationalized employees is classified. Though the central motto is known as an explicit ethical guideline for the Family, it is further believed that those expectations extend to all members of the Collective, the degree to which is undisclosed. Rumors have circled that breaking the Code of Conduct can lead to execution, though they've generally been dismissed as conspiracy. Systems which are managed by Black Sun operate under a relatively liberal rule of law, with the exception of absolute obedience to the Dark Prince and Vigos.

===Economy===

Black Sun takes the concept of profit very seriously: it forms one of the three tenets of the Black Sun motto, "Profit motivates us." Specifically, the focus on business has lead to a capitalist market which governs the incorporated systems. The exception to privately owned means of production is Shobquix Industries, the single state owned manufacturing entity, which supplies Black Sun directly and is overseen by the Vigo of Industry. The industries within sectors under Black Sun control, are otherwise closely held by citizens for the purpose of profit. All syndicate worlds boast competitive markets where supply and demand are internally affected by sentient exchanges. However, despite the liberal economies, land based property rights are non-existent; all land is government controlled.

As allies of the [[Galactic Empire]], Black Sun has adopted the [[Galactic Credit]] as their currency. It is the only accepted tender within Collective territories. This acceptance of what has become the standardized medium of exchange has allowed Black Sun to maintain a strong presence in the galactic market. Though bartering for services is allowed, credits continue to be the sole means of payment to nationalized employees. Some smaller territories have frequent usage of indentured servitude, though voluntary serfdom is rare due to the high governmental minimum wage of 4 million galactic credits per 30 days [[Combine Galactic Time]].

Although existing in more nebulous forms for hundreds of years, an organization recognizable as the current Black Sun was first mustered under the Dark Princess [[Gabriella Storm]]. Opening its business front on [[Year 0|Year 0 Day 5]], under Storm, Black Sun thrived and, by [[Year 1]], had established itself ostensibly as a reputable trading concern. According to accounts from the period, the first Dark Princess eventually grew bored with continuing success and faked her own death in order to escape the group ([[Year 0|Year 0 Day 318]]). The existing pattern of loyalties, when confronted with the sudden departure of the Dark Princess, created a rift in the organization. Many who were loyal to Storm reasoned that where their leader went they must follow and so they departed. For the first time the leadership of the Sun was shaken and the organization set to tear itself apart.

===The First Interregnum===

Following Storm's departure, there were company loyalty games which divided Black Sun internally. Many members of Black Sun were enticed with financial opportunities, while others were motivated purely by a desire to change. In order to address these concerns, Dark Prince [[Blood]] assumed the position of interim ruler and attempted to quell the chaos.<ref name="Old Black Sun History" /> He did his best to stabilize Black Sun in a very difficult time and was instrumental in foiling several attempted coups. However, Blood did not wish to remain as leader of the organization and desired to abdicate. After a lengthy deliberation between the high command, a new leader was chosen: Keevan Colton.

Dark Prince [[Keevan Colton]] assumed the mantle of ruler on [[Year 1|Year 1 Day 318]] and gradually stabilized the organization. However, like his predecessor Dark Prince Blood, Keevan had never wanted the position of leader and quickly set about training a successor. Electing to step down once an appropriate successor was available, he appointed Qel Dar as the new leader.

===Galactic Development===

Dark Prince [[Qel Dar]] immediately centralized Black Sun's power structure, before declaring war upon the [[Hapes Consortium]] and creating diplomatic ties to the [[Falleen Federation]], due to his membership in the [[Huruk-Rah|Huruk-Rah clan]]. Qel Dar also took as his protégé the galactic businessman [[Kosh Naranek]], who was the former governor of [[Lorell]]. Together, they pushed construction on [[Lorell]] and [[Dathomir]], in an effort to wrest control from Hapes ([[Year 3|Year 3 Day 107]]). They further pushed to take control of the bog-world of [[Nal Hutta]] from the [[Hutt Council]]. The reason for their sudden push towards war is still unknown. Unfortunately, Qel Dar's ambitious plans to wrest territory from [[Hapes Consortium|Hapes]] and [[Hutt Council]] both failed. Despite his other works as Dark Prince, Qel Dar's plan to seize the planet Lorell was his most grandiose action, and his failure there irrevocably marred his reign. These events would come to be known as the [[Black Sun Crisis]]. Dark Prince [[Plojo Rosom]] set out to reconstruct Black Sun, dividing the collective up and appointing Lords, each with the responsibility of conquering volumes of space. Each of these task forces would be a microcosm of the way Black Sun itself had been run in the past and the Family grew to its largest point since its inception under Dark Princess Storm. Freed from the day-to-day management of territory and assets Rosom could take on larger issues and those of personal interest. Realizing the Sun's need for military muscle, Rosom contracted mercenary groups among these was [[Irv Howie]], a petty warlord based in the [[Jospro|Jospro sector]]. This mercenary's relationship with [[Xya Howie|Tee ubo Tarkona]] (then fiancé to the [[Greyson Uebles|Emperor Uebles]]). These events drew Irv Howie into conflict with the Galactic Empire. Tee fled Imperial space aboard her YV-666 the "Leap of Faith" to join with Howie's fleet just outside the [[Sullust]] system, it was here she changed her name and appearance to avoid pursuit. Tee became Xyanax Jasper and then Xya Howie after the pair married and combined their resources into a new group, the Shadow Walkers, which was hidden from those who were not members. During this period of self-interest, Rosom further granted asylum to [[Tara Tylger]], another exile hunted by the [[Galactic Empire]]. In retaliation, the Empire declared war upon Black Sun. Dark Prince Rosom married [[Avalon Larkin]] on [[Year 4|Year 4 Day 159]], and when the war with the Galactic Empire fizzled, Rosom decided to retire to the life of self-endeavors he had created for himself.

Despite being an exile of the Galactic Empire, under Dark Prince Rosom, Xya Howie led The Shadow Walkers in their task to remove Family members who broke their pact with the Sun. It was her successes here and in other arenas, alongside Tara Tylger, which led to her appointment as Rosom's successor. Because Dark Princess Howie had led Black Sun through many dangers, she was beloved by many of its members. Slowly, Black Sun became self-sufficient and gained more members by seizing control of smaller organizations. Under this mantle, she created a Black Market which set up to sell rare and expensive technology anonymously through Black Sun as an intermediary. Ironically, the two principal sources of military goods for the [[Black_Market_Re-opens._New_Auctioneer_Found._Kiffex_declared_out-of-bounds.|Black Market]] were Emperor Uebles, who was faced with the prospect of either, working with BS or continuing hostilities against them, and Irv Howie, who maintained volatile relations with his now ex-wife the Dark Princess and her organization. Through Irv Howie's relationship with Black Sun, he and business partner [[Adam A Flynn]] were gifted the [[SoroSuub Corporation|SoroSuub]] shipbuilding company. SoroSuub began its golden age around [[Year 5|Year 5 Day 181]], very loosely interwoven into the Sun and indebted to the Sun due to its foundational relationship. However, despite her successes, Howie only ruled Black Sun for eight months before retiring.

Dark Prince [[Joseph Roscha]] reign was short, only three months, before continued disagreements with the former Dark Princess prompted a turn of events that saw him expelled from the group and Dark Princess Xya's return to the throne, until her and Irv Howie's death due to ship malfunction. Dark Princess [[Tara Tylger]]'s reign was equally short. The specifics of her downfall are unknown but most historians believe it was caused by a massacre she ordered on Kiffex. Following the carnage on [[Kiffex]], Regent [[Camaris sa Vinitta]] seized the throne of Black Sun on Year 6 Day 326 and proclaimed himself ruler.<ref>[http://www.swcombine.com/community/news/gnsarchive.php?display=2&postID=4196&category=20 GNS: "Tragedy at the Palace" - Year 6 Day 326]</ref>

Dark Prince [[Camaris sa Vinitta]] was unable to bring to stop the rampant squabbles and, during his brief tenure, the organization was sundered again. Predicting this eventuality, Camaris had groomed a successor who now stepped in to restore control to the fractured group: [[Daa`iata Tnaysc]]. During the reign of Dark Princess Tnaysc, the [[SoroSuub Corporation|SoroSuub Conglomerate]] had pushed forward the creation of a massive city-world on [[Galalryn]], eventually becoming the leading Galactic Government, replacing the Galactic Empire. Count [[Ingo R. Vailis]] made a famous speech to the [[Galactic News Service]], outlining his political views.

Meanwhile, Count Adam A Flynn was heavily involved with Black Sun, supporting Tnaysc's efforts to rebuild. Unfortunately, due to external events her reign did not last long and given their professional relationship, she handed control over to Dark Prince [[Adam A Flynn]]. In such a short period Black Sun had undergone tremendous political turbulence. SoroSuub was willing to contribute massive amounts of credits to sustain the syndicate but to no avail. Rivalry among the remaining Family members made their position untenable and Black Sun was gutted. The group was held as part of the SoroSuub Conglomerate, stripped of all but its Kiffex holdings, the flagship [[Darkstar Battleship]] and a fleet of [[Comparison_of_Fighters|vipers]].

===Revival===
Dark Prince [[Adam A. Flynn]] saw many changes. Under him, Black Sun was now part of the SoroSuub conglomerate led by Ingo Vailis. Flynn and Vailis debated the future of Black Sun but neither would afford to divert time from the development of SoroSuub to repair the collective. At this time, SoroSuub merged with the [[Rebel Alliance]] to form the [[New Republic]]. As events came to a head with the merger, Black Sun was forgotten almost completely. Dark Prince Flynn and Count Vailis had never been able to answer the question of how to restore the group and so it languished, neglected.

The New Republic outlined plans to transform Black Sun into [[Republic Trading]], severing the group from its criminal past and setting it on the course for a legitimate future as a trade consortium. Flynn and Vailis proposed a deal to sell the group to [[Teniel Djo]] with the hopes that a pirate could become a solid candidate as the new leader of organized crime in the galaxy. The idea of selling to a pirate sickened the moral majority in the New Republic. The Chief of State and leader of the Republic, Ingo R. Vailis, unable to reconcile his past and current identities or achieve his goals within the framework of the Republic, pushed on the deal. However, the citizens of the New Republic rallied against what they saw as unethical behavior and, on [[Year 8|Year 8 Day 310]], they passed a vote of no confidence in [[Chief of State]] Vailis. Vailis hid himself on [[Sulon]] and there he met with Adam A Flynn, [[Corvis Orion]] and other key individuals to plan their response.

On [[Year 8|Year 8 Day 338]] Vailis began sending orders to Black Sun agents in the New Republic. He ordered the deaths of several key political opponents and the transfer of massive amounts of military technology and credits into Black Sun. ===Legitimization===

After the events of the New Republic coup had calmed down, [[Corvis Orion]] having served an integral leadership role in the reclamation of the Black Sun identity, took up the mantle of Dark Prince in [[Year 10]]. His leadership is remembered for smoothing out the political turbulence which had shaken the syndicate. Under Dark Prince Orion, Black Sun acquired [[The Azure Empire]] and opened other relations. The Sun also took steps to absorb much of [[Hyrotii Corporation|Hyrotii Corporation's]] resources by indoctrinating Sector Managers and bribing Administrators, leading to its nationalization as a Black Sun company.

After reigning nearly two years, Orion stepped down to focus on nurturing his connection to the force. He was succeeded by [[Tar Alaks]], who also relinquished the title of Dark Prince in favor of the title of Lord Marshal. In an attempt to solidify his new position, Lord Marshal Alaks required every member of Black Sun to reaffirm their oath to the Family. Alaks also succeeded in organizing a take-over of both [[Aurora Technologies]] and [[Aurora Mining Technologies]] which were absorbed into Black Sun. [[Aurora Technologies]] was reborn as a Black Sun nationalized ships producer.

Following Alaks stepping down, Dark Prince [[Banquo Knox]] began his rein, choosing to continue the return to the focus of Family within the organization. Additionally, Knox worked hard to keep diplomatic bridges open between Black Sun and other governments striving for a degree of legitimization. In keeping with these ideals, on [[Year 13|Year 13 Day 209]] Black Sun was renamed to [[The Veragi Consortium]]. However, the change in name would be a relatively short lived affair with it becoming Black Sun again on [[Year 13|Year 13 Day 264]]. Throughout his galactic exploits, Dark Prince Knox had developed a diplomatic relationship with the Lord [[Seele]] of the [[Galactic Empire]]. The animosity of the pass had seemingly been quelled by shared political, economic, and military goals. It was through this relationship, that Black Sun became one of the original signatories of the restructured [[Imperial Union]], alongside the [[Tresario Star Kingdom]] on [[Year 13|Year 13 Day 326]]. ===The Modern Black Sun===

Eventually, the strain of leading Black Sun through a period of transition proved too great for Dark Prince Knox. His public presence waned as he withdrew from active leadership, and although his reign prioritized strengthening the Family, the collective had not yet reconnected with its deeper roots in unity and brotherhood. Seeking to restore those values, Dark Princess [[Cait Catra]] was named his successor. She soon stepped down, and her wife [[Niobe Asha]] briefly held leadership under the title of Empress. Their combined rule lasted only 120 galactic days, a period now referred to as the "Lost Year."

In [[Year 14]], [[Alexander von Ismay]] assumed leadership of Black Sun, electing to use the title of Underlord. His tenure followed the instability of prior transitions and was marked by a desire to restore order. Early into his rule, several changes were enacted across the collective’s upper structure. Multiple members of the Family Council were removed and replaced, while internal policy shifted to emphasize organizational discipline.

Much of the progress attributed to this period came from the efforts of the restructured Family Council. It was during this time that key industrial subsidiaries were formed, replacing legacy institutions from the Lost Year. [[White Star]] and [[Hyrotii Corporation]] were retired, and in their place [[Shobquix Industries]] and [[Gesenix Mining]] were established. These entities would later play a critical role in the collective’s long-term infrastructure and economic development.

In early [[Year 17]], Underlord Ismay stepped down from his position. On Year 17 Day 97, power was formally transferred to his Regent and Vigo of Defense, the new Dark Prince [[Jeor Knight]]. In [[Year 21]], following the collapse of the New Republic, Black Sun acquired [[Merr-Sonn Technologies]], which gradually became the central hub of its production network. By Year 25, both Shobquix and Gesenix were dissolved, with their roles absorbed into Merr-Sonn and internal divisions, marking a shift toward fully integrated operations.

After serving as Dark Prince for over nine years, the longest reign in Black Sun’s history by a significant margin, Knight formally abdicated leadership. His tenure provided the collective with lasting stability, administrative clarity, and deliberate growth. He is widely credited with guiding Black Sun through a period of structural transformation and shifting galactic dynamics. On [[Year 26|Year 26 Day 157]], leadership passed to Dark Prince [[Thrall Lothbrok]], a long-serving member of the Family Council and the twenty-second leader of Black Sun. ==Structure==

The Black Sun industrial syndicate is comprised of the Collective and the Family. The Collective represents Black Sun's industrial and infrastructural endeavors, including it's material management, architectural development, and industrial production companies. Each company within the Collective is run by a Chief Executive Officer and a Chief Operating Officer; those who hold these positions may be any Family rank. The Black Sun Family is a private institution, renown for its historical exploits, primarily: smuggling, trafficking, corporate espionage, information brokerage, and infiltration. Little is known publicly about the Black Sun Family beyond its leadership structure, hierarchy, and involvement in previous criminal engagements.

The Black Sun Collective and the Black Sun Family share an overarching hierarchy of ranks, with delineation for Enlisted personnel and Family. While the rank structures use separate identification codes, Family ranks begin where Enlisted ranks end. Civilian ranks apply jointly to both the Industry and Infrastructure branches. Military ranks encompass both the Blades of the Prince and the Shields of Golgotha.

Black Sun culture is ultra-hedonistic, with firmly held zealotry towards the Family Council. Most within Black Sun domains share a belief system centered around the attainment of pleasure, both physical and mental. Cultural philosophy holds that gratification is momentary and thus the universal aim for all sentients is the consistent realization of satisfaction. To this end, all forms of behavioural deviance are socially accepted. Sentients are free to do as they wish, so long as their actions do not impinge upon others or violate rules set by the Family Council. Any luxury, drug, or vice is available for a price in Black Sun territory.

Economic inequality is a present in many Black Sun planets. While poverty if significant in some areas, soaring pleasure palaces dominate the skylines elsewhere. Black Sun does little to actively alleviate this issue, however, anyone wishing to escape poverty is granted an opportunity to work in one of the Collective operations or by serving in the Blades, where they are paid one of the best entrance salaries in the galaxy. However, Black Sun expects excellence from its employees and failure to perform or abide by rules and regulations will result in immediate termination of employment at best.

Given the lenient laws in Black Sun space, it has become a burgeoning tourist destination and tax haven for the rich and wealthy of galaxy. With their money, Black Sun provides the utmost in privacy and secrecy should visitors wish to keep their reputations clean when they return to more puritan systems.

Many businesses have moved their operations to Black Sun territory to escape crippling corporate taxes and endless bureaucracy. Corporate espionage is rife, and Black Sun only intervenes to ensure no outright property damage or loss of life occurs. This intense competition has spawned a strong market for security, which Black Sun is happy to help fill.

Competitive sports and card games are exceptionally popular within the incorporated sectors. Though gambling is legal, all betting is patrolled in order to ensure obeisance to Black Sun values. Syndicate territories are also renowned for their lively and multi-species nightlife. Cities within Black Sun territories have varying sizes of amenities, some encompassing entire massive buildings while others are small and secret. Likewise, the offerings range from the luxurious and expensive to options which cater to the average sentient. The world districts dedicated to legalized harlotry are often galactic attractions for those governed by less indulgent sovereigns.

====Code of Conduct====

The Code of Conduct for nationalized employees is classified. Though the central motto is known as an explicit ethical guideline for the Family, it is further believed that those expectations extend to all members of the Collective, the degree to which is undisclosed. Rumors have circled that breaking the Code of Conduct can lead to execution, though they've generally been dismissed as conspiracy. Systems which are managed by Black Sun operate under a relatively liberal rule of law, with the exception of absolute obedience to the Dark Prince and Vigos.

===Economy===

Black Sun takes the concept of profit very seriously: it forms one of the three tenets of the Black Sun motto, "Profit motivates us." Specifically, the focus on business has lead to a capitalist market which governs the incorporated systems. The exception to privately owned means of production is Shobquix Industries, the single state owned manufacturing entity, which supplies Black Sun directly and is overseen by the Vigo of Industry. The industries within sectors under Black Sun control, are otherwise closely held by citizens for the purpose of profit. All syndicate worlds boast competitive markets where supply and demand are internally affected by sentient exchanges. However, despite the liberal economies, land based property rights are non-existent; all land is government controlled.

As allies of the [[Galactic Empire]], Black Sun has adopted the [[Galactic Credit]] as their currency. It is the only accepted tender within Collective territories. This acceptance of what has become the standardized medium of exchange has allowed Black Sun to maintain a strong presence in the galactic market. Though bartering for services is allowed, credits continue to be the sole means of payment to nationalized employees. Some smaller territories have frequent usage of indentured servitude, though voluntary serfdom is rare due to the high governmental minimum wage of 4 million galactic credits per 30 days [[Combine Galactic Time]].

Although existing in more nebulous forms for hundreds of years, an organization recognizable as the current Black Sun was first mustered under the Dark Princess [[Gabriella Storm]]. Opening its business front on [[Year 0|Year 0 Day 5]], under Storm, Black Sun thrived and, by [[Year 1]], had established itself ostensibly as a reputable trading concern. According to accounts from the period, the first Princess eventually grew bored with continuing success and faked her own death in order to escape the group ([[Year 0|Year 0 Day 318]]). The existing pattern of loyalties, when confronted with the sudden departure of the Princess, created a rift in the organization. Many who were loyal to the Princess reasoned that where their leader went they must follow and so they departed. For the first time the leadership of the Sun was shaken and the organization set to tear itself apart.

===The First Interregnum===

Following Storm's departure, there were company loyalty games which divided Black Sun internally. Many members of Black Sun were enticed with financial opportunities, while others were motivated purely by a desire to change. In order to address these concerns, Dark Prince [[Blood]] assumed the position of interim ruler and attempted to quell the chaos.<ref name="Old Black Sun History" /> He did his best to stabilize Black Sun in a very difficult time and was instrumental in foiling several attempted coups. However, Blood did not wish to remain as leader of the organization and desired to abdicate. After a lengthy deliberation between the high command, a new leader was chosen: Keevan Colton.

Prince [[Keevan Colton]] assumed the mantle of ruler on [[Year 1|Year 1 Day 318]] and gradually stabilized the organization. However, like his predecessor Prince Blood, Keevan had never wanted the position of leader and quickly set about training a successor. Electing to step down once an appropriate successor was available, he appointed Qel Dar as the new leader.

===Galactic Development===

Prince [[Qel Dar]] immediately centralized Black Sun's power structure, before declaring war upon the [[Hapes Consortium]] and creating diplomatic ties to the [[Falleen Federation]], due to his membership in the [[Huruk-Rah|Huruk-Rah clan]]. Qel Dar also took as his protégé the galactic businessman [[Kosh Naranek]], who was the former governor of [[Lorell]]. Together, they pushed construction on [[Lorell]] and [[Dathomir]], in an effort to wrest control from Hapes ([[Year 3|Year 3 Day 107]]). They further pushed to take control of the bog-world of [[Nal Hutta]] from the [[Hutt Council]]. The reason for their sudden push towards war is still unknown. Unfortunately, Qel Dar's ambitious plans to wrest territory from [[Hapes Consortium|Hapes]] and [[Hutt Council]] both failed. Despite his other works as Dark Prince, Qel Dar's plan to seize the planet Lorell was his most grandiose action, and his failure there irrevocably marred his reign. These events would come to be known as the [[Black Sun Crisis]]. Dark Prince [[Plojo Rosom]] set out to reconstruct Black Sun, dividing the collective up and appointing Lords, each with the responsibility of conquering volumes of space. Each of these task forces would be a microcosm of the way Black Sun itself had been run in the past and the Family grew to its largest point since its inception under Dark Princess Storm. Freed from the day-to-day management of territory and assets the Prince could take on larger issues and those of personal interest. Realizing the Sun's need for military muscle, Rosom contracted mercenary groups among these was [[Irv Howie]], a petty warlord based in the [[Jospro|Jospro sector]]. This mercenary's relationship with [[Xya Howie|Tee ubo Tarkona]] (then fiancé to the [[Greyson Uebles|Emperor Uebles]]). These events drew Irv Howie into conflict with the Galactic Empire. Tee fled Imperial space aboard her YV-666 the "Leap of Faith" to join with Howie's fleet just outside the [[Sullust]] system, it was here she changed her name and appearance to avoid pursuit. Tee became Xyanax Jasper and then Xya Howie after the pair married and combined their resources into a new group, the Shadow Walkers, which was hidden from those who were not members. During this period of self-interest, Rosom further granted asylum to [[Tara Tylger]], another exile hunted by the [[Galactic Empire]]. In retaliation, the Empire declared war upon Black Sun. Dark Prince Rosom married [[Avalon Larkin]] on [[Year 4|Year 4 Day 159]], and when the war with the Galactic Empire fizzled, Prince Rosom decided to retire to the life of self-endeavors he had created for himself.

Despite being an exile of the Galactic Empire, under Prince Rosom, Xya Howie led The Shadow Walkers in their task to remove Family members who broke their pact with the Sun. It was her successes here and in other arenas, alongside Tara Tylger, which led to her appointment as Prince Rosom's successor. Because Princess Howie had led Black Sun through many dangers, she was beloved by many of its members. Slowly, Black Sun became self-sufficient and gained more members by seizing control of smaller organizations. Under this mantle, she created a Black Market which set up to sell rare and expensive technology anonymously through Black Sun as an intermediary. Ironically, the two principal sources of military goods for the [[Black_Market_Re-opens._New_Auctioneer_Found._Kiffex_declared_out-of-bounds.|Black Market]] were Emperor Uebles, who was faced with the prospect of either, working with BS or continuing hostilities against them, and Irv Howie, who maintained volatile relations with his now ex-wife the Princess and her organization. Through Irv Howie's relationship with Black Sun, he and business partner [[Adam A Flynn]] were gifted the [[SoroSuub Corporation|SoroSuub]] shipbuilding company. SoroSuub began its golden age around [[Year 5|Year 5 Day 181]], very loosely interwoven into the Sun and indebted to the Sun due to its foundational relationship. However, despite her successes, Princess Howie only ruled Black Sun for eight months before retiring.

Prince [[Joseph Roscha]] reign was short, only three months, before continued disagreements with the former Princess prompted a turn of events that saw him expelled from the group and Dark Princess Xya's return to the throne, until her and Irv Howie's death due to ship malfunction. Princess [[Tara Tylger]]'s reign was equally short. The specifics of her downfall are unknown but most historians believe it was caused by a massacre she ordered on Kiffex. Prince [[Camaris sa Vinitta]] was unable to bring to stop the rampant squabbles and, during his brief tenure, the organization was sundered again. Predicting this eventuality, Camaris had groomed a successor who now stepped in to restore control to the fractured group: [[Daa`iata Tnaysc]]. During the reign of Dark Princess Tnaysc, the [[SoroSuub Corporation|SoroSuub Conglomerate]] had pushed forward the creation of a massive city-world on [[Galalryn]], eventually becoming the leading Galactic Government, replacing the Galactic Empire. Meanwhile, Count Adam A Flynn was heavily involved with Black Sun, supporting Princess Tnaysc's efforts to rebuild. Unfortunately, due to external events her reign did not last long and given their professional relationship, she handed control over to Prince [[Adam A Flynn]]. In such a short period Black Sun had undergone tremendous political turbulence. SoroSuub was willing to contribute massive amounts of credits to sustain the syndicate but to no avail. Rivalry among the remaining Family members made their position untenable and Black Sun was gutted. The group was held as part of the SoroSuub Conglomerate, stripped of all but its Kiffex holdings, the flagship [[Darkstar Battleship]] and a fleet of [[Comparison_of_Fighters|vipers]].

===Revival===
Prince [[Adam A. Flynn]] saw many changes. Under him, Black Sun was now part of the SoroSuub conglomerate led by Ingo Vailis. Prince Flynn and Vailis debated the future of Black Sun but neither would afford to divert time from the development of SoroSuub to repair the collective. At this time, SoroSuub merged with the [[Rebel Alliance]] to form the [[New Republic]]. As events came to a head with the merger, Black Sun was forgotten almost completely. Prince Flynn and Count Vailis had never been able to answer the question of how to restore the group and so it languished, neglected.

The New Republic outlined plans to transform Black Sun into [[Republic Trading]], severing the group from its criminal past and setting it on the course for a legitimate future as a trade consortium. Flynn and Vailis proposed a deal to sell the group to [[Teniel Djo]] with the hopes that a pirate could become a solid candidate as the new leader of organized crime in the galaxy. The idea of selling to a pirate sickened the moral majority in the New Republic. The Chief of State and leader of the Republic, Ingo R. Vailis, unable to reconcile his past and current identities or achieve his goals within the framework of the Republic, pushed on the deal. However, the citizens of the New Republic rallied against what they saw as unethical behavior and, on [[Year 8|Year 8 Day 310]], they passed a vote of no confidence in [[Chief of State]] Vailis. Vailis hid himself on [[Sulon]] and there he met with Adam A Flynn, [[Corvis Orion]] and other key individuals to plan their response.

On [[Year 8|Year 8 Day 338]] Vailis began sending orders to Black Sun agents in the New Republic. He ordered the deaths of several key political opponents and the transfer of massive amounts of military technology and credits into Black Sun. After the events of the New Republic coup had calmed down, [[Corvis Orion]] having served an integral leadership role in the reclamation of the Black Sun identity, took up the mantle of Dark Prince in [[Year 10]]. After reigning nearly two years, Orion stepped down to focus on nurturing his connection to the force. He was succeeded by Dark Prince [[Tar Alaks]], who also relinquished the title of Dark Prince in favor of the title of Lord Marshal. In an attempt to solidify his new position, Alaks required every member of Black Sun to reaffirm their oath to the Family. Lord Marshal Alaks also succeeded in organizing a take-over of both [[Aurora Technologies]] and [[Aurora Mining Technologies]] which were absorbed into Black Sun. [[Aurora Technologies]] was reborn as a Black Sun nationalized ships producer.

Following Alaks stepping down, Dark Prince [[Banquo Knox]] began his rein, choosing to continue the return to the focus of Family within the organization. Additionally, Knox worked hard to keep diplomatic bridges open between Black Sun and other governments striving for a degree of legitimization. In keeping with these ideals, on [[Year 13|Year 13 Day 209]] Black Sun was renamed to [[The Veragi Consortium]]. However, the change in name would be a relatively short lived affair with it becoming Black Sun again on [[Year 13|Year 13 Day 264]]. Throughout his galactic exploits, Dark Prince Knox had developed a diplomatic relationship with the Lord [[Seele]] of the [[Galactic Empire]]. The animosity of the pass had seemingly been quelled by shared political, economic, and military goals. It was through this relationship, that Black Sun became one of the original signatories of the restructured [[Imperial Union]], alongside the [[Tresario Star Kingdom]] on [[Year 13|Year 13 Day 326]]. Prince Knox saw further legitimate success through the sale of [[Aurora Technologies]], and the creation of a uniquely Black Sun shipbuilder, [[White Star]].

===The Modern Black Sun===

Eventually, the strain of leading Black Sun through a period of transition proved too great for Prince [[Banquo Knox]]. His public presence waned as he withdrew from active leadership, and although his reign prioritized strengthening the Family, the collective had not yet reconnected with its deeper roots in unity and brotherhood. Seeking to restore those values, Princess [[Cait Catra]] was named his successor. She soon stepped down, and her wife [[Niobe Asha]] briefly held leadership under the title of Empress. Their combined rule lasted only 120 galactic days, a period now referred to as the "Lost Year."

In [[Year 14]], [[Alexander von Ismay]] assumed leadership of Black Sun. His tenure followed the instability of prior transitions and was marked by a desire to restore order. Early into his rule, several changes were enacted across the collective’s upper structure. Multiple members of the Family Council were removed and replaced, while internal policy shifted to emphasize organizational discipline.

Much of the progress attributed to this period came from the efforts of the restructured Family Council. It was during this time that key industrial subsidiaries were formed, replacing legacy institutions from the Lost Year. [[White Star]] and [[Hyrotii Corporation]] were retired, and in their place [[Shobquix Industries]] and [[Gesenix Mining]] were established. These entities would later play a critical role in the collective’s long-term infrastructure and economic development.

In early [[Year 17]], Ismay stepped down from his position. On Year 17 Day 97, power was formally transferred to his Regent and Vigo of Defense, the new Dark Prince [[Jeor Knight]]. Dark Prince Jeor Knight assumed leadership at a time of organizational fatigue and uncertainty. His steady and pragmatic approach ushered in a period of renewed stability, marked by deliberate internal consolidation and operational refinement. During Knight’s reign, the Collective’s industrial infrastructure was consolidated and strengthened. In [[Year 21]], following the collapse of the New Republic, Black Sun acquired [[Merr-Sonn Technologies]], which gradually became the central hub of its production network. By Year 25, both Shobquix and Gesenix were dissolved, with their roles absorbed into Merr-Sonn and internal divisions, marking a shift toward fully integrated operations.

After serving as Dark Prince for over nine years, the longest reign in Black Sun’s history by a significant margin, Jeor Knight formally abdicated leadership. His tenure provided the collective with lasting stability, administrative clarity, and deliberate growth. He is widely credited with guiding Black Sun through a period of structural transformation and shifting galactic dynamics. On [[Year 26|Year 26 Day 157]], leadership passed to [[Thrall Lothbrok]], a long-serving member of the Family Council and the twenty-second leader of Black Sun. ==Structure==

The Black Sun industrial syndicate is comprised of the Collective and the Family. The Collective represents Black Sun's industrial and infrastructural endeavors, including it's material management, architectural development, and industrial production companies. Each company within the Collective is run by a Chief Executive Officer and a Chief Operating Officer; those who hold these positions may be any Family rank. The Black Sun Family is a private institution, renown for its historical exploits, primarily: smuggling, trafficking, corporate espionage, information brokerage, and infiltration. Little is known publicly about the Black Sun Family beyond its leadership structure, hierarchy, and involvement in previous criminal engagements.

The Black Sun Collective and the Black Sun Family share an overarching hierarchy of ranks, with delineation for Enlisted personnel and Family. While the rank structures use separate identification codes, Family ranks begin where Enlisted ranks end. Civilian ranks apply jointly to both the Industry and Infrastructure branches. The Dark Prince is the supreme leader of Black Sun. Holding sole decision power, the Dark Prince is responsible for shaping Black Sun policy in all arenas. Additionally, due to the Family's behavioral foundation in, "Family, Honour, and Profit" the Dark Prince serves as the ideological exemplar for the Family's ethical code. While the Dark Prince is the primary decision maker within the Black Sun syndicate, he is advised and supported heavily by the Family Council.

===Culture===

Black Sun culture is ultra-hedonistic, with firmly held zealotry towards the Family Council. Most within Black Sun domains share a belief system centered around the attainment of pleasure, both physical and mental. Cultural philosophy holds that gratification is momentary and thus the universal aim for all sentients is the consistent realization of satisfaction. To this end, all forms of behavioural deviance are socially accepted. Sentients are free to do as they wish, so long as their actions do not impinge upon others or violate rules set by the Family Council. Any luxury, drug, or vice is available for a price in Black Sun territory.

Economic inequality is a present in many Black Sun planets. While poverty if significant in some areas, soaring pleasure palaces dominate the skylines elsewhere. Black Sun does little to actively alleviate this issue, however, anyone wishing to escape poverty is granted an opportunity to work in one of the Collective operations or by serving in the Blades, where they are paid one of the best entrance salaries in the galaxy. However, Black Sun expects excellence from its employees and failure to perform or abide by rules and regulations will result in immediate termination of employment at best.

Given the lenient laws in Black Sun space, it has become a burgeoning tourist destination and tax haven for the rich and wealthy of galaxy. With their money, Black Sun provides the utmost in privacy and secrecy should visitors wish to keep their reputations clean when they return to more puritan systems.

Many businesses have moved their operations to Black Sun territory to escape crippling corporate taxes and endless bureaucracy. Corporate espionage is rife, and Black Sun only intervenes to ensure no outright property damage or loss of life occurs. This intense competition has spawned a strong market for security, which Black Sun is happy to help fill.

Competitive sports and card games are exceptionally popular within the incorporated sectors. Though gambling is legal, all betting is patrolled in order to ensure obeisance to Black Sun values. Syndicate territories are also renowned for their lively and multi-species nightlife. Cities within Black Sun territories have varying sizes of amenities, some encompassing entire massive buildings while others are small and secret. Likewise, the offerings range from the luxurious and expensive to options which cater to the average sentient. The world districts dedicated to legalized harlotry are often galactic attractions for those governed by less indulgent sovereigns.

====Code of Conduct====

The Code of Conduct for nationalized employees is classified. Though the central motto is known as an explicit ethical guideline for the Family, it is further believed that those expectations extend to all members of the Collective, the degree to which is undisclosed. Rumors have circled that breaking the Code of Conduct can lead to execution, though they've generally been dismissed as conspiracy. Systems which are managed by Black Sun operate under a relatively liberal rule of law, with the exception of absolute obedience to the Dark Prince and Vigos.

===Economy===

Black Sun takes the concept of profit very seriously: it forms one of the three tenets of the Black Sun motto, "Profit motivates us." Specifically, the focus on business has lead to a capitalist market which governs the incorporated systems. The exception to privately owned means of production is Shobquix Industries, the single state owned manufacturing entity, which supplies Black Sun directly and is overseen by the Vigo of Industry. The industries within sectors under Black Sun control, are otherwise closely held by citizens for the purpose of profit. All syndicate worlds boast competitive markets where supply and demand are internally affected by sentient exchanges. However, despite the liberal economies, land based property rights are non-existent; all land is government controlled.

As allies of the [[Galactic Empire]], Black Sun has adopted the [[Galactic Credit]] as their currency. It is the only accepted tender within Collective territories. This acceptance of what has become the standardized medium of exchange has allowed Black Sun to maintain a strong presence in the galactic market. Though bartering for services is allowed, credits continue to be the sole means of payment to nationalized employees. Some smaller territories have frequent usage of indentured servitude, though voluntary serfdom is rare due to the high governmental minimum wage of 4 million galactic credits per 30 days [[Combine Galactic Time]].

== Origins ==

Little is known of Thrall Lothbrok's origins other than the claim he is the clone from the days of the old old republic. Produced as part of a batch of almost a thousand other clones for the purposes of waging war - initially against the Mandalorians and then later the Sith Empire during the Jedi Civil War. Upon his unit's return to their creator an unspecified time later, they were placed in cabonite stasis with the intention of re-awakening them in the near future. They were never awoken however, and the clones degraded over thousands of years of carbonite stasis. The early technology being flawed, both in the carbonite stasis process used on the clones and the cloning process itself. This led to severe physical and mental defects developing in stasis though a handful of researchers that have looked into these claims indicate severe physical and mental defects should have occured prior to the carbonite process failing.

The outpost the clones has been stored within remained a silent relic of a bygone past until it was discovered and unearthed early in Year 13 by a band of freelance explorers, too eager to discover a new planet the effects of this flawed technology was unleashed. Before they could report their discovery to the galaxy at large the automated system restarted and freed the clones from their carbon stasis. Degraded and maddened, the clones attacked and killed the explorers before turning on each other in a bloody and brutal battle. Of all those involved in the ensuing bloodbath, only one clone survived: Clone 2295, one of the partial failures of the clone program even before the degredation thousands of years inflicted, though nevertheless deemed still capable of combat. Sitting amidst the carnage he and his brothers had wrought, 2295 remained there for a time before taking the explorers' ship and departing from the planet, in search of a better life. It was at this time that he took on the name 'Thrall', seizing upon the term from one of his earliest memories.

== Personal History ==

=== Education on Coruscant ===

Once gaining access to a ship Thrall found his way to a planet he had heard of but never been to: Coruscant. Initially, he believed the Sith had won and the Republic had fallen, replaced instead by the Galactic Empire. Upon accessing the Holonet however, he discovered that thousands of years had passed since his entry into carbonite stasis, and that the galaxy had changed around him. The Galactic Republic had become the Galactic Empire after the betrayal of the Jedi, and the galaxy had fractured as a result, with a multitude of competing governments and lesser factions rising up to fill the void.

Rather than depend on the skills he had acquired during his previous life, Thrall chose instead to attempt to integrate himself into contemporary society. Selling the ship he arrived on, Thrall used the funds to enter into education where he worked his way up through to university, learning the skills and knowledge that had been denied to him earlier in his life. Due to his lack of social graces and ability, in addition to some residual damage from the cryostasis, this proved to be an extremely difficult time for him. Thrall persevered however and ultimately succeeded in completing a multitude of university courses surrounding management and engineering.

=== Black Sun ===
==== Humble Beginnings ====
During his studies Thrall had considered entering the service of the [[Galactic Empire]], but ultimately he decided they were too rigid for him. Nevertheless, he still saw them as the sole force of peace in the galaxy and the rightful galactic government. Instead he applied for a position with one of the Galactic Empire's allies, finding a position within [[Shobquix Industries]], one of the [[Black Sun]]'s nationalised companies. While there he found the atmosphere of Black Sun suited the more exotic tastes he had acquired while on Coruscant, with drugs and pleasure being more public vices rather than hidden away from view as is the case with most organisations - things that were expected and accepted, rather than hidden away or denied.

Thrall's ambition and efficiency led to a rapid progression in the collective, and his hard work was eventually rewarded on Day 139 of [[Year 17]] ([[CGT]]), when he was given the rare opportunity to join the prestigious [[Black Sun]] Family, finding himself promoted to the rank of Engineer. Thanks to Thrall's zealous perfectionism and unrelenting ambition, he quickly caught the eyes of his superiors and was given the chance to prove himself. On Day 187 of [[Year 17]] ([[CGT]]), he was named as the Director of Production Operations and Minister of Production for the [[Black Sun]] syndicate. He also became the Chief Operations Officer for [[Shobquix Industries]] at the same time.

After having served as Vigo [[Leigh Kellan]]'s right hand for almost a year, on Day 164 of [[Year 17]] Thrall joined the ranks of the Consiglio as the Black Sun's second in command for their Industrial Production, a goal he had been focused on since joining Black Sun. Ecstatic with his success Thrall took the opportunity to celebrate, the story being that he spent three straight days doing so and in the process running up a modest tab of 12,312,032 credits on Alcohol and other activities before returning to work, reportedly with a renewed vigour and tenacity for his work.

==== The Betrayal ====
After the Dismissal of Vigo Leigh Kellan for oath breaking, Thrall became the Corporate Executive Officer of Shobquix Industries on [[Year 18]] Day 292. Thrall took this promotion heavily, with the betrayal of Leigh Kellan still causing him no small amount of pain he was unable to celebrate his rise through the ranks. Rather than fixate on the pain, Thrall instead chose to devote his efforts towards making Shobquix Industries a force to be reckoned within the production industry. On Day 313 Thrall received word of his promotion to the ranks of the Consiglio, obtaining the rank of Overseer. Humbled and honoured by this promotion, his excitement was nevertheless rather obvious to his fellow staff, particularly after he reportedly spent the next few days nursing what he officially described as "The worst hangover since Lex resigned".

While the circumstances surrounding her removal were unpleasant for Thrall, Leigh Kellan was now out of his way. And Thrall now had a direct line to his next promotion: Vigo, the position he had been aiming for, originally out of a desire to surpass his superior. And while he no longer cared what Leigh thought of him, Thrall found a new mentor in the form of the [[Dark Prince]], [[Jeor Knight]], with the two having gradually built a friendship with one another. Thrall threw himself into his work, seeming to live every day as though it might be his last, as though every drop of effort he put into Shobquix Industries had to be perfect. His work showed results; efficiency was increased tenfold, with Shobquix's production efforts increasing substantially and expansions beginning all over the [[Mieru'kar]] sector. Thrall proved himself to be the driving force behind the organisation's success, and his superiors took note.

==== Ascension to the Family Council ====
On Day 42 of Year 19, merely one hundred days since the betrayal of Vigo Leigh Kellen, Thrall Lothbrok received word that the promotions for that month had been announced, coincidentally at the same time he received a summons from Jeor Knight. His hard work had paid off; Thrall had been promoted to the pinnacle of power within the Black Sun syndicate, with the now-Vigo Lothbrok being summoned to the shrine of [[Golgotha]] on board the [[Darkstar Battleship]]. As with his previous promotions Thrall arranged an extravagant celebration many might consider excessive, throwing a massive party in the Black Gold casino with the expense being just under a billion credits in total, including legal fees and fines as a result of the party.

Despite the expense Thrall himself did not attend however, with rumours stating that he spent the night at his estate on Malicar with [[Siobhan Nuullic]].

==== The War for the Republic ====
The operation of Black Sun's Industrial arm would continue under the diligent leadership of Thrall until [[Year 21]] Day 36 when it was officially announced Thrall Lothbrok would be taking over the position of Vigo of Defence. Merely weeks after the surrender of the New Republic to the Galactic Empire, events that would begin [[The War for the Republic]]. The newly announced Vigo of Defence began immediate preparations for the events that would transpire over the next year including the preparation for the deployment of many of Black Sun's fleets. Preparations which would prove advantageous when Black Sun forces were ordered to strike [[The Resistance]]'s bases within the [[Morshdine]] and [[Chopani]] sectors on Day 139. Thrall Lothbrok personally oversaw the slaughter that took place at Chopani from oboard the Imperial Star Destroyer [BSS] Defiant. There he recieved the nickname "The Butcher of Chopani" after the sheer scale of devestation Black Sun forces inflicted on the planets within the [[Antmuel]] and [[RZ7-6113-23]] systems.

There are more than a few rumours regarding the slaughter that took place in the two systems on orders from Thrall Lothbrok, including purposely targetting civilians, medical personel, and causing mass destruction through the use of orbital bombardment. Rumours also state that after the defensive station in orbit of Camden was neutralised Thrall Lothbrok gave the order to push it into the gravitational well of the planet to inflict further damage upon the planet. Whether or not this happened is hard to say however as [[Vitale Cipriani]] was the commanding officer of the Black Sun forces within the [[Morshdine]] sector. However as a direct result of the orders given by Thrall Lothbrok the casualties within the first week of the conflict quickly rose into the tens of millions.

==== Retirement and Renewal ====
After the brief yet violent appearance of Thrall Lothbrok on the front lines of [[The War for the Republic]] he retired from the public eye to focus his energy ensuring the security of Black Sun's expanded territory and the expansion of it's defensive fleets with newly captured New Republic assets however having served as Vigo of Defence for a little less than a year Thrall Lothbrok resigned from the position on [[Year 21]] Day 317. This would signal a pause in Thrall Lothbrok's official duties within Black Sun, although he continued to participate in covert operations on the behest of Dark Prince [[Jeor Knight]] he refocused his efforts inward towards his family.

It would not be until [[Year 24]] Day 338 that Thrall Lothbrok was once more graced with the rank of Vigo and given command of Black Sun's Commercial and Industrial production for Shobquix Industries and Merr-Sonn Technologies, however these duties would eventually be merged into the Merr-Sonn Technologies corporation entirely with Shobquix Industries under the command of Vigo [[Alexi Genesys]] being retasked to the sole production of defensive assets for Black Sun's military. And on Day 354 of the same year Thrall Lothbrok took an official leadership position within the Merr-Sonn Technologies corporation replacing previous CEO [[Banquo Knox]].

Using his connections and influence Thrall expanded upon Black Sun's commercial network, establishing a pleathora of Vendors across the galaxy selling Merr-Sonn Technology wares to happy customers. As well as establishing a medical branch on Malicar to ensure a steady supply of medicine reports indicate a vast expansion effort was undertaken in the [[Malicar]] system on the orders of Thrall Lothbrok, establishing vast new production lines and ensuring a steady supply of goods for the galaxy to enjoy.

== Personal Life ==
=== Early Beginnings ===
Initially Thrall Lothbrok had no friends, family or clan to call his own. The galaxy was strange to him and he had become lost in a place that he felt he did not belong. While his time in education on Coruscant led to a few friendships they almost entirely centred around studies or vices and had little substance beyond that, falling apart once his education was over. This state of affairs changed once he joined the [[Black Sun]] collective. While there he acquired many valuable friends and individuals he came to consider as family, eventually coming to think of [[Black Sun]] as his home.

While his social situation had improved massively Thrall had suffered great loss and showed signs of mental fatigue and stress, with psych profiles indicating a tendency towards violence and a lack of emotion - or at the very least, difficulty in the expression of emotion - as well as preternatural desire to kill most likely a side effect from his conditioning as a clone.

Although initially closed off Thrall has made a number of improvements in becoming more sociable, opening a nightclub within the Nocturnal Palace on Alsakan and even making some long lasting friends outside of the collective. Most notably Thrall has pursued a number of romantic relationships, the first of which being with [[Pheadre Farren]] in Year 18. This relationship eventually fell apart. The second of these was essentially a complicated series of flirtations during a period later in the year that saw him become torn between multiple possible romances. However this came to an end after one eventful night of playful flirting and courting abruptly turned into something more, ultimately blooming into a loving relationship with [[Siobhan Nuullic]]. One that Thrall put no small amount of energy and time into, being seen in the company of Miss Nuullic constantly in the days that followed. With rumoured sightings of their travels throughout the galaxy stirring the Black Sun holonet into a frenzy of jealousy and click bait articles.

As well as his increase in formal social outings Thrall regularly visited nightclubs and places of entertainment or pleasure, indulging heavily in pleasures of the mind and body, often seen with a glass of whiskey or some form of ryll. Having personal accommodation on both Malicar and within the Nocturnal Palace of Alsakan. Thrall was consistently seen throughout the galaxy at various hotspots of activity in pursuit of vice and entertainment, establishing a reputation as a discreet seeker of pleasure. Being caught in holo-media stories far more often that he would have liked as he grew older, though the few clips with dear friends he caught from time to time as they resurfaced made his antics entirely worthwhile according to sources close to him.

=== Withdrawal from the Public Eye ===
However post Year 20 Thrall became more withdrawn, instead focusing his time more privately, reportedly in the company of Siobhan Nuullic and his children. This absence from the public would continue until [[Year 21]] during [[The War for the Republic]] when he made appearances as commander of the Black Sun forces and appeared on the Galactic News Service. However this appearance in his official duties was all that was caught of the man who had previously appeared in holovids and news stories surrounding the nightlife all throughout the Galaxy. Instead after his resignation as Vigo of Defence following the victory of Imperial Union forces Thrall Lothbrok disappeared entirely, rumours within Black Sun tabloids ran wild with speculation from affairs, psyciatric treatment, to even more preposturous suggestions he had been replaced by another clone. However reports seem to indicate Thrall Lothbrok travelled frequently between [[Malicar]], [[Malanose]], [[Asation]] and [[Csilla]] with a few brief public sightings of the man on Csilla indicating he was spending time with his half-Chiss children.

=== Disappearance of Siobhan Nuullic ===
Sometime between [[Year 22]] and [[Year 23]] an official report was submitted by Thrall Lothbrok regarding the death of his spouse Siobhan Nuullic. The official date listed on the documentation was [[Year 22]] Day 331, according to the report Thrall Lothbrok submitted Siobhan Nuullic then Darth Valefica had plotted a course into the unknown regions and disappeared without word. In Thrall Lothbrok's search for her scout teams employed by the retired Vigo discovered the Ardent-class Fast Frigate Cacasn Ch'acah heavily damaged and disabled within an asteroid field. The crew had been slaughtered, though the cause of death for the crew members on board was never submitted into public record the body of Siobhan Nuullic was nowhere to be found, initially listed as Missing this was updated to presumed dead near the end of [[Year 23]].

=== Sand Panthers, Csilla, and Family ===
After this event Thrall Lothbrok was seen more publicly usually travelling the outer rim and making trips to the distant Chiss system [[Csilla]]. During this time Thrall Lothbrok also expanded the Lothbrok Household creating an animal sanctuary on the planet of Malanose, initially to serve as a sanctuary for sand panthers it was expanded to provide care for a plethora of creatures Thrall Lothbrok soon began collecting as part of his conservation efforts. Indeed many of his future visits to Csilla involved the trade of endangered or neglected creatures to be rehabilitated at the Lothbrok Animal Sanctuary. This was not the sole purpose of these visits however, with the loss of Siobhan Nuullic and in an effort to ensure his children maintained ties to their Chiss heritage he spent a lot more time on Csilla, especially within the city of As'ciel. Having become somewhat of a regular guest at [[Vocehn]] enjoying spending time with the Chiss people and occasionally recruiting more of their people into his ever growing household.

It was there that Thrall Lothbrok met a number of Chiss, among some of the more memorable names CEDF officer [[Azumi`ryu`rasa]] and Patriarch [[Obbic Rysta Leo]] as well as the Imperial [[Xama-nie Taki]]. Though his penchant for excessive consumption of alcohol and ryll meant he very rarely remembered those he interacted with, which would prove to be a driving wedge upon repeat meetings. Still it was within [[Vocehn]] that he met the woman who he would begin a relationship with late in [[Year 24]] [[Yeley Ursor]], though initially this was quite the hostile meeting the Chiss was able to claw her way into Thrall's good graces and eventually his heart. Though there was a period of time he considered feeding her to his pet rancors.

Over the next year Thrall found himself returning to Csilla time and time again not just for his children but for the woman that had stolen his heart, happy to count himself as a friend to the Chiss people but more happy to have found renewed purpose once more. Galactic Media also noted the uptick in sightings of the Vigo accompanied by [[Yeley Ursor]] across a multitude of vacation spots across the galaxy. As well as private travel on behalf of [[Merr-Sonn Technologies]] that resulted in more than a few diversionary trips that saw a handful holomedia pieces on the supposed return of Thrall Lothbrok to the galactic stage of hedonism and debauchery.

== Medical Records ==
Thrall Lothbrok was already defective when it came to the clone process that gave him life. And that was prior to the degredation thousands of years of carbonite stasis inflicted upon him. Medical records leaked to the public indicate a history of genetic alterations costing billions of credits in order to prevent an early death from organ failure. While the success or failure of these treatments is unclear the fact Thrall Lothbrok continues to live an eccentric life seems to indicate some level of success in preventing the genetic decay his clone batch was plagued with.

Records also indicate a notable amount of physical damage inflicted upon the man, which in several cases has resulted in the complete replacement of biological organs with cybernetic replacements at no small expense. As of [[Year 24]] leaked documents indicate Thrall Lothbrok had both arms entirely replaced with cybernetic limbs carefully disguised with synthflesh. Extensive operations later conducted replaced his liver, both lungs, spine including ribs, and heart were with cybernetic implants over the course of many years of physical punishment. While records do not indicate the reason for these implants all of the operations were schedules quickly following unscheduled visits leading to a presumption that Thrall Lothbrok engages in battle personally from time to time with long lasting consequences. Despite the leaked records Thrall Lothbrok has not made any public comment on his cybernetic implants and so their full nature and the extent of his modifications are still a mystery.

== House Lothbrok - Notable Assets ==

Thrall Lothbrok keeps and maintains a number of military and civilian assets, their purpose is publicly unknown, whether they are for personal protection or for more nefarious means has yet to be revealed, however the existence of them has never been something he has kept a secret. All assets lack any form of identifying tag however their presence within and around Black Sun space is undisputed.

The Tempest
Frigate Class - Sabaoth Destroyer

The Tempest was the result of an unknown operation, however construction of the ship under the watchful eye of Thrall Lothbrok completed on [[Year 19]] Day 270. No small amount of credits were spared on upgrading the Saboath Destroyer to the comfort levels enjoyed by Black Sun.

Cacasn Ch'acah

Frigate Class - Ardent Fast Frigate

The Cacasn Ch'acah is the sister ship of the Eternal Legacy, which was unfortunately lost in battle. The Cacasn Ch'acah was presented to Siobhan Nuullic as a gift shortly into their relationship, giving her command over the warship and it's crew to do with as she saw fit. The ship contains a full stock armoury, and medical bay, ensuring the safety of it's crew from any threats. It was rediscovered at the final known location of Siobhan Nuullic after her disappearance and reclaimed by Thrall Lothbrok who repaired and restored the ship to its former glory, crewing it with a sizable amount of Chiss.

Frigate Class - Hammerhead Cruiser

The Unrelenting Imperium was a gift from a dear friend, a relic to the people of this time, but a familiar comfort for Thrall, he had renovated the ship heavily for his own personal living space while keeping the ships offensive and defensive capabilities intact. Although it mostly serves as a luxury liner for Thrall rather than the battleship of old he fondly remembers. The name of the ship was changed as a rememberance to the very same fallen friend and turned into a museum later in its service.

Shadow Guard

Military Droid - Sentinel Droid

The Shadow Guard is a set of Sentinel Droids tasked with an as of yet classified operation directed by Thrall Lothbrok. FN-DO and BN-DO assassin droids were later added to the ranks of the Shadow Guard to compliment their numbers.

Bane

Military Droid - Destroyer Droid

Bane is one of many Destroyer droids under Thralls command, however unlike the classified nature of the other destroyer droids, it's sole purpose is the protection of Siobhan Nuullic from any and all threats. He was discovered heavily damaged on the bridge of the Cacasn Ch'acah after the disappearance of Siobhan Nuullic. Thrall Lothbrok spent a great deal of effort repairing the droid until it was finally fully functional at the beginning of [[Year 25]]

== Thrall's Cat Sanctuary ==
Sometime during [[Year 24]] Thrall began a conservation effort focused towards the Corellian Sand Panthers he'd came to enjoy so much, in an effort to ensure their species were safe from illegal poaching he established a Cat Santuary on the planet of [[Malanose]] only to later expand his conversation efforts to a number of species including Rancor's and Purrgil's. A second conservation effort began on Malicar in [[Year 25]] with the establishment of the Lothbrok Sand Panther Rescue and Orion Sand Panther Preserve within the city of Crimson Grove, hoping to restore the planets previously dwindling sand panther population. Thrall Lothbrok drew additional funding and attempted to regenerate a conservation effort towards some of the more endangered creatures around the galaxy despite reports indicating he himself was responsible for blatant industrial expansion with no regard for local ecosystems, a claim he fervently denies.

Simba

Simba was the result of Thralls impatience, seeking a Corellian Sand Panther for himself as a pet for several months, he finally went down to the planet of Malicar and took it upon himself to find a cub to raise as his own. After a daunting few days of being shot at and attacked by the local wildlife Thrall finally came across a lone Sand Panther cub who had been injured and left to die, rushing it to a nearby sanctuary medical aid was given to the cub and ownership officially granted to Thrall Lothbrok. Simba now accompanies Thrall everywhere, having formed a strong bond with the man, and Thrall in turn developing a great fondness towards Simba.

===Early life===
Kyran William Caelius was born in Xuczal City, on the planet [[Thyferra]], to educator Kasimir Caelius and his wife Isolde Kaine. His father was Thyferran, also born in Xuczal, while his mother was of Hapan descent. Caelius lived on Thyferra until at age 5, following the birth of his younger brother [[Kristijan Caelius|Kristijan]], his parents chose to move to the capital city of [[The Galaxy|Empress Teta]], Cinnagar, to live nearer the Kaine family estate. They believed a dominant [[Human]] environment, rather than one heavily influenced by the [[Vratix]], would offer greater intellectual stimulation and opportunity for their children.

Living comfortably on the [[Galactic_Empire|Imperial]] world, Caelius's father was able to retire, electing to focus exclusively on instructing the Caelius brothers and their younger cousin, Lilith Kaine. Though initially, the relationship between Kyran and Lilith was one of a forced teaching environment, over time their kinship thrived, establishing a long-time friendship. More fervently, however, Caelius eventually developed a distinctly fraternal bond with his elder cousin, [[Gabriel Kaine]]. As he grew older, these relationships would flourish into a sense of belonging, and an ideological basis for Caelius's strong beliefs in familial bonds.

As a teenager, a pervasive recklessness and aggression developed in Caelius's demeanor. Often spending his nights on Empress Teta in [[ryll]] fueled euphoria, he learned to use dexterity in order to best sentients in street games. Frequently promiscuous and under the influence of various substances, he took to distractions of manipulation, conning the cons and testing the waters of black markets. When he wasn't scheming, he resorted to the creation of art and eventually vandalism to fill his time. The subject of his art differed greatly, varying from simple caricatured culture references, forays to the macabre, and less frequently political statements.

It was due to his talents and outspoken behaviors, that an extremist [[Human|humanocentric]] movement contacted, and eventually radicalized the young Thyferran. His natural diplomacy skills were immediately used to benefit the speciesist' endeavors. When cunning failed to achieve the movement's goals, Caelius used his talents in the arts for the creation of propaganda. For years his radicalized behaviors persisted, and as Caelius reached college age he was convinced by his fellows to attend the University of Coruscant, in order to further his crafts for the cause. Thus, in [[Year 4]], utilizing Asenour Kaine's connections to secure admittance to the university, he left to begin his life on Coruscant.

}}Initially Caelius joined the International Relations program, and began his studies with a focus on advanced economic aspects of international relations. Given his teenage experiences, in this he excelled for the first year of his education. However, before beginning his second, he was approached by Civil Engineering staff at the university who believed his mind was better suited to planetary development. While hesitant to change his focus, given the reason for attending, some of his radical ideology had tempered without consistent influences. His decision was made, when the staff appealed to his narcissism, painting a picture of his potential influences on the worlds he could advance.

Enrolling in both the Architectural and Structural Engineering programs, Caelius exceeded expectations. In a hologram to a colleague, one of his Professors described his abilities, "When he looks at a planet, his mind sees the future through its potential. He doesn't see bare ground, but the evolution of a world from the architectural potential which lies within it to the metropolis which could flourish above it. His capacity to envision each plausible component is outstanding." In [[Year 6]] the head of the Kaine house, Herbert Kaine, was executed for treason by the [[Galactic Empire]]. This event deeply affected his family, and the psychological stress furthered the already significant reliance on vices, despite his young age. While studying at the university, he also met [[Draelor Nah`utal]], quickly becoming friends with his eventual Imperial ally.

Graduating in [[Year 8]], Caelius had varied considerations to take into account for his future. Deciding to continue honing his craft, he set off on a six-year leave to explore the galaxy, specifically the genesis of observable architectural cultural diversity. At each planet, he explored disparate colonies and cities, in order to study the origin, design, and integration of society with its natural environment. Though he refused to utilize communicators while visiting inchoate communities, Caelius maintained semi-frequent contact with his family whenever his travels brought him to urbanized environments.

It was during his travels that Caelius began sporting his beard, not for fashion but convenience. While visiting a small primal colony in the forests of [[Gannaria (Planet) | Gannaria]], he was offered a tattoo of a stylized [[eye-snatcher]], a revered bird within their people, as a parting gift. Having it placed on his left outer collar, this would become the first of many in a long tradition.

===The Family===
Visiting the city of Imthitill, on the [[Aqualish]] homeworld of [[Ando_(Planet)|Ando]], Caelius decided he had spent enough time traveling the galaxy; finally, he felt his experiences would allow him to build worlds befitting his visions. Finishing his business on the planet, he gathered his belongings and immediately began travel to the planet of [[Vorsia Companion]] where he had received an offer of employment. Arriving on [[Year 14|Year 14 Day 217]] he worked as an Administrator, helping with the city development and organization of Dark Skies Gearworks.

In returning to the civilized world, Caelius also endeavored to expand his connections with non-GA governments. This goal was two-fold: he wanted to offer his services to the various sects of the galaxy, but he further hoped to establish connections with like-minded sentients. In studying various governments, House Soyak-Ikron of the [[Avance Coalition]] most appealed to Caelius's values. After an expedient application and interview process, he joined the House and its Political Caste.

While working within House Soyak-Ikron, a series of events led to Caelius's decision to serve Avance full-time. This proved to be short-lived, however, as after meeting and marrying his first wife [[Leigh Kellan]], he moved his life to [[Malicar (Planet)|Malicar]]. Electing to work for [[White Star]], he believed the Black Sun ideology was more appropriate to the lens through which he viewed the galaxy. Despite his career change, this did not slow his efficiency within Avance, and eventually, Lord Protectorate [[Navik Ikron]] named Caelius as Arch Lord of House Soyak-Ikron, the second-in-command and leader of the Political Caste.

Likewise, within the Black Sun collective, Caelius's devotion was immediately apparent and quickly he earned his place in the Black Sun Family, becoming White Star's second-in-command. From this position, his staunch work ethic elevated him to the Consiglio and after a relatively short period, his continued efforts led to his invitation into Black Sun's [[Black Sun Family Council|Family Council]] as Vigo, by [[Leader of Black Sun|Underlord]] [[Alexander von Ismay]] on [[Year 15|Year 15 Day 60]]. His first Vigo role was that of Vigo of Negotiation, beginning on Year 15 Day 72. His fidelity was further recognized on Year 15 Day 221, by joint promotion to the Family's second-in-command position, Regent, with his wife, before he additionally became the role of Vigo of Shadows on Year 15 Day 246. Given his central government roles, Caelius decided to further his education by pursuing an advanced Doctoral degree in management at his alma mater following his second Vigo role appointment.

The Regents oversaw Black Sun operations while the Underlord attended to Black Sun's more distant galactic holdings. Beneath their rule, the Collective made many advancements towards legitimization. However, when Underlord Ismay returned in late Year 15, Caelius decided to take another small sabbatical, stating he would return after the New Year. Though the need for Regents was removed with the Underlord's active return, Vigo Caelius retained his position as a member of the Family Council. While control of Black Watch was returned to the Underlord's direct duties, he maintained his position as the Vigo of Negotiation. However, following the [[Avance Coalition]] and [[Trade Federation]] merger, Caelius's membership within House Soyak-Ikron was forcibly terminated due to the Trade Federation's stance on Black Sun.

As the Vigo of Negotiation, Caelius appointed former Vigo [[Ahsas Rotciv Maharg]] to the position of his second-in-command, Minister of Culture, while additionally taking the role of Interim Vigo of Infrastructure. Following the declaration of sovereignty of Black Sun, and after months of planning successes, Caelius's role in Infrastructure was cemented. The governmental office was well-suited to Caelius's educational background and personal passions. Given a new Black Sun policy of one office per Councillor, the torch of Negotiation was passed to Vigo Maharg on [[Year 16|Year 16 Day 248]]. After overseeing the ongoing development of [[Revyia IV]], Caelius eventually retired from all duties on [[Year 17|Year 17 Day 68]]. Though no public statement was made, rumors attributed his retirement to an aura of disrespect and mistrust within the Family under Underlord Alexander von Ismay.

During his retirement, in late Year 17, Caelius was infected with the [[Metamorphosis Plague]]. Suffering from vertigo and an insatiable thirst, Caelius immediately sought medical care at the [[Black Sun Governance|University of Malicar's]] health research facilities. After running numerous tests, it was determined that Caelius had contracted the galaxy's most prolific virus. Caelius was provided with a post-exposure prophylaxis which halted the plague's progress. Researchers informed Caelius that his genetic code would persistently include an immunological memory of the virus, but that the changes associated with the plague were staved off. Though it took some time to recover from his illness, following Dark Prince [[Jeor Knight|Jeor Knight's]] ascension, Caelius's retirement ended, and after a year of service, on [[Year 18|Year 18 Day 129]] he rejoined the Family Council as the Vigo of Interior, formerly Negotiation, once more. Additionally, in late Year 18 Caelius completed his doctorate of philosophy in management from the University of Coruscant, with a specialization in 'Organizations and Management'.

===Solitude===
Caelius faithfully served as a member of Dark Prince Knight's Family Council for nearly 3 years, however, on [[Year 21|Year 21 Day 36]] he once more decided to resign from his position as Vigo. Joining the Consiglio as a Councillor Emeritus, the now-former Vigo swiftly withdrew from the very spirited and hedonistic public life which had defined him over the previous near-decade. Though members of Black Sun maintained contact with him, and [[Natasha Kaine]]—speaking on behalf of House Kaine—assured inquirers that her eldest cousin retained full control of their family estates, Caelius's public interactions otherwise diminished almost in their entirety. When his offices on Lorpfan were pressed for comment, a short statement was released that stated, "I have always valued privacy in my personal life and I'm no longer the professional face of anything. While I realize our galaxy thrives on idle gossip, I've little reason to offer myself as the source."

After retiring, Caelius’s galactic profile outside of Black Sun and Imperial Union circles diminished considerably. He made only occasional appearances at major events such as the biannual Uli-ah Gafsa Memorial Swap Meets and Galaxy Fest. In early [[Year 26]], he returned to a more public role as Minister of Culture on the Black Sun Continuing Committee of the Ministry of Interior. The appointment echoed his former position as Vigo of Interior, allowing him to continue his work in cultural and administrative leadership on a more focused scale.

Tall for a human and muscularly lean, as is often seen in [[Thyferran|Thyferrans]] and [[Hapan|Hapans]], Caelius stands at 2.03 meters and weighs 108.86 kilograms.

For much of his adult life, he was covered in tattoos that extended from his face to his feet. Most were completed on a unique planet, with each abstractly representing the core experience of the culture from which it originated. However, in late Year 25, he underwent full-body dermal regeneration using bacta immersion and targeted synthflesh application, removing the ink that had once defined much of his outward identity. Caelius described the decision as a personal evolution. “My skin carried the story of everywhere I’ve been. Change is part of growth, and I chose to renew myself for what comes next. My history remains, whether or not it’s visible.”

Though he has always held a keen fixation on physical fitness, Caelius previously suffered weakness in his non-dominant right arm. Having elected to have the internal organic structure of his arm enhanced with cybernetics, faulty connections in the arm's neural networks contradicted any intended benefits. However, his impairments were repaired in late [[Year 21]] when, after a grueling three-day surgery, Doctor [[Spree Razzix]] finished a restoration on the damaged arm using newly discovered and highly experimental medical techniques. His enthusiasm for physical fitness further extends into sports. He was the owner of the Malicar Howlrunners, a bolo-ball team in the [[Black Sun Bolo-ball League]]. Furthermore, he served as Captain for and played the position of Center on the [[Asation Outlaws]], a shockball team in the [[Galactic Shockball League]]. Due to his Hapan lineage, Caelius suffers from some minor night blindness.

Stylistically, Caelius is diverse in his choices, his wardrobe conforming to the demands of his environment. Casually, he wears simple tee shirts or button-ups, denym pants, and boots. However, more frequently, he is at home in formal attire; his most common wardrobe appears to be three-piece suits. For work, he often wears a thick jumpsuit in order to protect himself from the persistent particulate hazards. His eyes—originally a deep brown—are a red tone, a physical sign of corruption caused by half a decade of his closest relationships being with people who would eventually connect with and succumb to the Dark Side of the Force. His usually long, often coiffed locks are a dark sepia, though he has been known to sport shorter hair with blonde tones. Though for much of his life he displayed shorter facial hair, since late [[Year 10]] he has worn a full beard which is meticulously groomed at all times; given its rarity, it has become a trademark of his appearance. He has occasionally, and rarely, shaved it, but has always grown it back. Though the resemblance between Caelius and his father was often noted prior to Year 10, since growing the full beard—a style which his father has worn for many years—the resemblance has become even more pronounced.

Throughout his higher education, Caelius was regarded by his fellows as handsome, charming, intelligent, and kind. However, others have described him as egocentric, cunning, and at times quick to anger. Known for his proneness to boredom, frequently he has exhibited impulsive and irresponsible behaviors in order to cull his listlessness. Despite the conflicting accounts of his personality, it has often been noted that while appearing serious and brooding, his conversational demeanor is warm, and one of amiable sarcastic wit. Yet as Caelius has aged, his personality has hardened some, his more charismatic behaviors seemingly reserved for professional or deeply personal interactions. Those with whom Caelius interacted during his second sabbatical remarked that following his divorce he became more guarded, leading to an increased solitude.

When questioned about galactic politics, Caelius has favored the [[Imperial Union]] for its stance against the [[Galactic Alliance|Galactic Alliance's]], "ideological deficiencies [and role as] the self-proclaimed saviors of the sentient condition." He has further supported the [[Galactic Concordiate]] for their rejection of the [[Galactic Alliance|Alliance]]. On the occasions Caelius has been publicly involved in political deliberations, he has demonstrated an ability to utilize eloquence in order to garner support for his viewpoints.

Around those with whom Caelius is close, he has demonstrated a candid capability for affection and devout loyalty. Within his close interpersonal relationships, a clear sense of willing vulnerability and sincerity has been observed between him and those he calls friends. Despite being the grandson of Edith Kaine, Caelius failed to foster close relationships with his first cousins. Rather, due to being raised with the Hazel Kaine lineage, his second cousins became the family members with whom he most identified. Though he had a brother, Caelius's relationship with the twins [[Gabriel Kaine|Gabriel]] and [[Reina Kaine]] was distinctly fraternal and sororal, respectively. While the twins' corporation, [[Holowan Mechanicals]] aligned with the Galactic Alliance, familial bonds preempted political expectations for many years. However, in early Year 17, the merger of Holowan and [[Sha`kage]] into [[The Resistance]] led to Caelius forsaking House Kaine. Despite his self-exile, in mid Year 17 Caelius became Archon of House Kaine due to the unexpected retirement of Gabriel Kaine. Unfortunately the bloodlines of Edith and Hazel Kaine continued to experience a rift of allegiances, as House Kaine formally aligned itself with Black Sun despite the New Republic alignment of The Resistance.

Caelius's closest familial relationship is with his brother, Kristijan. Though they had scarce contact during Caelius's sabbatical, upon his return their bond was instantly reformed. Since joining Black Sun, Kristijan has served as an integral member of Caelius's crew, acting as the lead member of his personal administration. Kristijan has also acted as personal security for Caelius on many occasions. Caelius's second-closest familial relationship is with his second cousin once removed, [[Natasha Kaine]]. Charged with the murder of her rapist on [[Danuta]], Kaine was exiled from the [[Halla]] sector and sent to live with Caelius, by her father [[Gabriel Kaine]]. Known for self-indulgence, Caelius has been the subject of much gossip regarding intimate relationships with men and women. However, he has continuously sparsely commented. In Year 14, Caelius was introduced to [[Leigh Kellan]], via his employer. Characteristic to Caelius's preference for privacy, their relationship was initially secret: "I take solstice in the fact that I control my own words. Others can do and say what they like. If I don't open my life to the public realm, however, it retains a certain intimate solitude that I value." It was later released that on [[Year 14|Year 14 Day 291]], the two were married in a private ceremony. Despite years of positive public appearances, Kellan elected to end the marriage while Caelius was on his second sabbatical. By mid Year 16, [[Mieru'kar|Mieru'karan]] media frequently reported Caelius and long-time confidant [[Evelyn Reighner]] imbibing the Black Sun nightlife and, later in the year, rumors swarmed about a romantic relationship with [[Rayus Kestyn]]. In late Year 17, Caelius began dating [[Zeltron]]/[[Kiffar]] [[Astrid Sarka]], showing a stark departure from the xenophobic ideals of his youth and culminating in a serious, nearly year long entanglement. When asked why he was so public about this relationship, and how he thought people viewed he and Sarka's evolution from colleagues to partners, Caelius stated, "We wanted to be as honest as possible, and really about two people discovering each other ... it really marks the beginning of this relationship that is ever-changing and learning about one another." Caelius has historically been an adamant opponent of sentient equality, though his beliefs have lessened. Having been raised from an early age to embrace [[Human|humanocentric]] views, his thoughts on sentient equality were further compounded by the staunch [[Galactic Empire|Imperial]] atmosphere of the [[Coruscant|University of Coruscant]]. As an ideological basis for his support of galactic non-human speciesism, Caelius has argued that human superiority has existed through the universe as a natural state. He has further cited the consistent triumphs of humans over others as galactic leaders. While his radical viewpoint diminished some during his engineering sabbatical, the Year 16 leave of absence further abated his xenophobic ideals. On the subject of alien officers in Black Sun or alien Masters of House Kaine, Caelius has commented that he holds them in high regard, viewing them as exceptions to the inferiority of their species.
====Religion====
For most of Caelius's life, he held no spiritual convictions. Rather, he firmly rejected the belief in any deity and would openly challenge theists; his combativeness was particularly evident when sentients would attempt to proselytize the Thyferran Hapan hybrid. Despite his atheist dogma, upon hearing of [[Lilith Kaine|Lilith Kaine's]] execution, he suffered a severe emotional crisis. This exigency would culminate in a search for spirituality and eventually a strong uncharacteristic belief in the [[Reansucru]] faith and its deification of The Ones. After discussion with Reansucru leaders, it was determined that Caelius followed the [[The_Force#Alternate_Views|Shade of Blue]] as his primary Force Shade. Regarding small assets, Caelius is a known weapons collector, owning nearly one of every armament available in the galaxy. He is also a known howlrunner enthusiast, owning and training a pack of the canines. Though his fleets are staffed by thousands of droids, he has remarked that his most cherished droids are the MSE-6 'Mouse' "Micro II", a gift from his cousin Gabriel Kaine, and the BD-3000 "Vivica", which sports a unique construction of his own design.
