The Gree system is a star system located in the Gree sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Long controlled by the Black Sun crime syndicate, the 350th day of Year 14 CGT saw the start of an internal power struggle in the syndicate, with resulting hostilities transferring the system into the hands of the GenoHaradan paramilitary organization. Supported by the Mandalorian clan Dael'mor, GenoHaradan would force the Black Sun occupation forces out of the system and seize the remaining strongholds, eventually turning management of the system over to the newly formed Gree Trade Authority on the 267th day of Year 15 CGT.

Overview

The Gree system is comprised of six celestial bodies: four planets and two stars. Per galactic planetary classification standards, Gree and Gree III are rated as "temperate/breathable" with Type I atmospheres while Gree I and Gree IV are "gas giants" with Type IV atmospheres. The planets orbit the star designated as Gree Aurek while gravitational pull from Gree Besh modifies the orbital trajectories into an ellipse.

Gree is the central and considered to be the main planet in the system, serving as home of the Gree Trade Authority. It is heavily fortified with defensive surface emplacements, protected by a network of interlinked shield generators, and surrounded by a number of defensive space stations. A dedicated fleet of capital-class and support starships rest in geosynchronous orbit, ready to respond to any and all security threats.

Gree I, a large gas giant, is home to an extensive mining operation that spans the planet’s entire gaseous surface via self-sufficient city platforms, each suspended approximately 50,000 kilometers above the surface. Producing the main export of the Gree Trade Authority, tibanna gas, the mining network is protected by a network of interlinked shield generators and defended by a dedicated fleet of capital-class and support starships in geosynchronous orbit.

Gree III is a temperate planet renown throughout the Outer Rim Territories for its untouched beauty. Gifted to the Mandalorian clan Dael'mor for their assistance in removing the Black Sun criminal syndicate, the relatively unsettled surface serves as the personal training ground for the Mandalorians.

Gree IV, a massive gas giant, serves as a research and design centre for the Gree Trade Authority. Sparsely settled, the planet has proven to be an effective and isolated testing ground for scientific research in a variety of fields.
