Originally designed to be a cheap bomber for the confederate armies massing in the outer rim, the Bellulab-22 was the prototype for this heavy anti-capital bomber. The final prototype sported phenomenal sublight speed, 2 heavy lasers to discourage fighter pursuit, moderate shielding and an armored hull. Built for testing the 22 model could encompass most species unlike the mass used bomber that was streamlined so that only a droid could pilot it. The prototype was given to the leaders of the confederacy for a personal escape ship and was duplicated by skilled engineers so that each army commander had one. Sadly, these ships were the last to be produced of the range as most were destroyed trying to run Republic blockades as all CIS leaders were given heavy attention. The few that remain were captured along with CIS leaders and given to the Republic. As the Empire was formed, some ships were sold to private traders while others were rumored to have been given to Imperial high command. When this command splintered after warfare most of these ships were lost and most are presumed destroyed.
