Hapan Navy surprises Pirates

Over the past weeks a group of pirates have been operating in unknown space between the Hapes Consortium and Trade Federation space. The pirates had raided several transport convoys, experts estimate the damage caused totals a few million credits.

In the early hours of the morning, their misery was put to an end. As the pirates exited hyperspace to attack a major convoy, they found themselves in a trap. Instead of defenceless cargo vessels, the pirates found the 31st Hapan Fleet. MiyTil fighters and Novas intercepted the pirates within seconds, with no chance to escape their ships were ripped to shreds in a brutal assault pirates had seen often enough from the Hapans. The official report states no survivors and mentions no casualties on the Hapan side.

Around midday today a press conference was held, in which Hapan authorities thanked the Trade Federation for their close teamwork.
