Meeting and befriending Blinker: What seemed like a chance encounter turned into an amazing friendship, Lily obtained a Yt-510 for her personal shuttle and as she boarded the ship she felt something wasn't right, in the corner of this vessel lay a jumble of parts, some noises and stirring drew her attention to it. All of a sudden a little R5 astromech jumped out, wailing with his bleep bloops and full lights to try and scare her away. Lily immediately grabbed him in a hug, petting him in reassurance "everything will be ok" she said. From that day the two of them were inseparable, every time she would board the vessel he would be there to greet her, she didn't know his oiling schedule, so every week she would apply the necessary fluids on Saturday and Thursday. On one of these days she found a tag to who he had previously belonged to printed Jic Uiji, she knew that R5 droids loved exploring and he may have gotten lost on one of his trips.

Lily sent a holo message to Jic, fully anticipating that he would take a long time to respond and that her and the R5 would still have more time together. She was wrong, he answered immediately, Lily felt saddened at the prospect of returning him to Jic, but it had to be done, it was the right thing. Jic was so happy to see Blinker, as he called him, "what a fitting name for the little one" Lily thought. Blinker was ecstatic and bleeped and blooped in excitement and happiness to see Jic again. They talked with one another and then Jic did something that made Lily cry in happiness, he told her that he would give Blinker to her, that the little one enjoyed her company and that he couldn't break up their friendship. so on Year 21 Day 14, 7:23 Jic Uiji has sent Lily Stewart the following 1 droid: - R5 Series Astromech Blinker

Since then they had continued their adventures together.
