Biography
Being fanatic of everything that can fly from an early age, Miro quickly assimilated the basis of starship piloting and developed a constant thirst of knowledge about this subject ever since. Not a surprise when you've been raise near a spaceport... his uncle and his father also owned a landing pad where his first experience were at the controls of a Ginivex. The family entreprise was named "The Horned Pathfinder" in honor of his grand-father who passed away while scouting for ore deposits, before Miro was born. Learning skills on different ship and vehicle helped him greatly to be a better pilot, fine tuning his skills and improving his reflexes. Born and raised on the Iktotch Moon also contributed to his reputation of being a great pilot. Beside that, he also developed hunting skills, often going on safari hunting trip with the mature males of the colony where he belong to. He is known for his patience, perseverance and the ability to keep focus no matter what is going on around him, keeping the situation under control at all time.
At the age of 18, he sold the jolting uncle's Ginivex to a fool who seems to didn't care for his life, an Arcona with glowing golden eyes... Barely enough for a ticket off the moon and a week of sustenance but who cares! The galaxy is his now!!!
He enlisted himself on the luxurious state-of-the-art multi kilometer-long Colossus-class Heavy Liner "Rhode" as a simple repairman first, ascending to better job in reward of his excellent work. During his time onboard he also learned his martial combat abilities, honed both tactical and strategic skills by training with the small but effective security team that was assign to the ship and practicing with them every time he had spare time. From a maintenance boy he grew up in rank from Assistant Engineer and later Flight Officer, flying the various shuttle and freighter that was use to refuel the immense ship. During a particularly violent boarding attempt made by very well organized pirates, where over half of the ship crew were killed, Miro had been recruited to participate in the last stand against the raiders. They did succeed in holding the ship but at a great cost. Three quarters of the security crew were butchered to save the lives of each other and the passengers. The ship was then renamed "The Impregnable". After the incident, to commemorate the victory and the sacrifice of those who had given everything to protect it the remaining crew were all given compensation for their acts of bravery. Now, for the ships protection, assigned to it were 2 DP-20c and 6 full squads of Y-Wing Starfighter/Bomber docked inside it, plus the crew received a standardized equipment of powersuit armor and more powerful weapons that was more than welcomed. Miro received a promotion to served aboard as a Security Flight Officer until he reached his 27th birthday (one year after the event), when he left to realize his childhood dream: exploring the galaxy with his own brand new HWK-290...
Miro visited his homeworld first, and saw his family that he hadn't had news of for quite a while. His father finally closed the shop after all those years and he still flew his brother's old Ginivex. He managed to buy it back to the junkie Arcona before the fool took it for a final trip... During his stay on Iktotch, Miro sold his Baudo-Class Star Yacht that was collecting dust in his garage for a good amount of credits and started investing in estate. First a personal residence in the Widek system quickly followed by a tavern and a garage in the Douglas system. He also helped his father to finalize the build up of a old JM5000 that he had bought from a long time friend, back in the days before he left his homeworld. He proudly displays a rare model of the first generation, build with only 2 seats and a huge cargo hold that contain more than typical light freighters. It now serves him as a personal transport and temporary weapon stash.
Description and Personal Life
When not wearing his Tiger Stripes flight equipment, he usually prefers his simple but effective olive drab and grey utilitarian boiler suit. Having the perfect shape (6 foot, 185lbs) to fit in a cockpit, he quickly developed natural reflexes that allowed him to win quite few "backyard" races ... thanks to his uncle's old beaten-up Ginivex. Unlike most of his kind, his skin color goes darker as he grows older. Having being born pale beige his color now begins to turn dark orange, nearly red.. Only his horns stay a deep shade of grey and never changed. He grooms them with a curve upside-in like his ancestors always did. On the back of his head he have a black ritual tatoo that complete his birthmark, every male of his family-clan get them after their adulthood rite of passage.
He normally prefers to be armed and ready: macrobinocular, combat knife, CS-12 Stunmaster, two ELG-3A and some Class-A Thermal Detonators/EMP grenades are part of his basic equipment stored in a heavy belt. If the situation requires it he can carry a strong riot shield for more protection. If there is long range firefight a A-280 or A-295 rifle are always stored in his backpack, allowing him to be versatile on the battlefield. He has managed to get his hands on some restricted technology, so he can often be seen wearing a heavily modified and personalized TIE Fighter flight suit or a Stormtrooper armor he acquired through a trade; they complement very well his arsenal and saved Miro's life numerous time. He also has the ability to use heavy weapons, depending on the required missions he will deploy various weapon systems: from hand-held rocket launchers to Stouker rifle he can efficiently operate all of them. Throughout his life he studied various hand-to-hand combat form and know how to fight in zero-gravity environment. He received an intensive training in boarding/anti-boarding operations, survival, ambush/guerilla warfare, explosives, long-range recon, marksmanship.
Being a loner type of person, Miro prefer the solitude and tranquility of a cockpit to the animation and crowd of the city. He can work well with a team, have no difficulty to accept the orders of his superiors and have no problem bonding with people but he shine best doing his own things by himself. Over the years he made a few friends, but he generally don't speak about it; most of them have past away or he didn't had any news from them in a very long time... Miro is also known to have help new people in this Universe by offering a small ship, some equipment and a training in basic piloting before they go find their own way.
When he's not flying around you can find him in his humble palace, attending at his impressive indoor and outdoor garden filled with various plants comming from the four corners of the Galaxy where Miro have previously visited. He also enjoy making is own mead from his garden's beehive, a skill his grandfather taught him when he was barely a Longhorn. Miro also like his armory and hangar bay well organized, he's frequently looking through his inventory to keep everything in optimal condition for when they will be needed. He also enjoy the occasional hunting trip, mostly those listed on the Galactic Pest Autority (GPA) hunting permit.
Travel and Work
When asked about his travelling during an interview Miro responded:
"Places visited so far?....Numerous Space Stations and Shipyards, other Planets and Cities that I can't even remember their name... to much to list them all! I've travelled at the four corners of the Galaxy in the cockpit of many different spaceship."
He explained also that he had joined Veritas Press on Y15 D9 as Ensign and is now Captain/Security Engineer. Previous to that he had done mostly freelance work (retreival of personal vehicles/belongings and blastdoors installation), sitting for organisations with the highest paycheck and hoping on other ones to build some things to expand his personal inventory and armory.
His first years were with Cerberus Corp in around Years 9-10, a job found through the classifieds ads; he thought it was a good idea to build droids although the paycheck wasn't good at all! During his time there he learn the basic of production but prefered to do mainly logistic work, delivering the finished product but it was only for a brief period of time; the company was in a political turmoil and that reflected in the production. With no droids to deliver, the YT-1210 he was assigned at the distribution center was grounded. Tired of waiting for an assignement or any communication at all from his superior, Miro then left to work for Rothana Heavy Works at the begining of Year 10. It is there that he learn more about the various manufacturing process of spaceship used in the whole Galaxy; a job offered by his former boss at C.C., Jango Talon. When R.H.W. had to close it's doors a several months later, he was once again jobless and had nowhere to go. The next job he found, again through the classifieds ads on the Holoforum, was with Dark-Night Spacework (before the creation of the Triumvirate Space Technologies, around Years 10-11) where he devoted his time between working as starship builder and perfecting his formation in Starfighter/Freighter piloting/combat under the command of Biowa Gatecross. His time with D.N.S. came to a halt (around year 12-13) after the company closed it's door due to restructuration within the Triumvirate Coalition, so Miro prefered to leave to find something more stable leaving him once again jobless... After drifting aimlessly through the Galaxy for months onboard his YT-2000 he acquired a small Palace, some smaller facilities plus two factories to produce his own items with all his meager economies he had made during his past employment and the various trades he made. He also enlisted a complete hunting squad composed of fellow Iktotchi riflemen, whom he trusts the most and two full squads of K-4 security droids to guard his small production hub and help him hunt creatures. While working for Veritas Press, his personal fleet expanded with another BFF-1 Bulk Freighter, effectively doubling his transportation capabilities. Soon after, a YV-666 was purchase to help him haul a wider variety of merchandise. In the end of year 15, Miro had to be put in cryostasis for a serious injury he sustained while installing blastdoors aboard his newly acquired BFF-1 Bulk Freighter and transported to a hospital in Deep Space. It took him over a years of reabilitation to be able to walk again and thanks to his will to survive he can now resume a normal life of adventure... he is now looking to build himself a space station where he can call home, a place to dock his small fleet away from danger and serve him as new base of operation.
Ships
Miro is extensively proud of his piloting and ships he owns or has owned during his life, his favorites being his HWK-290 and his YT-2000.
