Mosep Chitose was a Noghri best known for founding Rothana Heavy Engineering. Prior to this, he served in the Rebel Alliance until defecting briefly to the Eidola Pirates with a number of Rebel starfighters.

While leading Rothana, Mosep was captured by the Corporate Sector Authority under Zorran Black in late Year 5. He was subsequently rescued by Syn of the Eidola Pirates who was operating Starsign Shipyards at the time. Following his rescue, he worked briefly for her in Starsign Shipyards before she tricked him into boarding a YT-1300 on board which he was killed by Teniel Djo, leader of the Eidola Pirates, in early Year 6. While the reasons for Eidola's betrayal were never publicly revealed, he was believed to have attempted to set up another pirate only months before his death.

Despite the surname, the Noghri had no relation to the Human, Warlord Squall Chitose, and was suspected of changing his name early in his life in order to capitalize on the warlord's reputation.
