The Feud Continues - GenSci Edition

Press Release -- The GenSci Institute is pleased to report today that its operatives have successfully taken advantage of inadequate protections in Twilight Foundation operational security to locate the secretive opposition group’s headquarters: a hidden complex inside a deep space asteroid belt. GenSci agents were able to ascertain details of a Twilight plot to produce and disseminate Assassin droids throughout the galaxy. The droids have been flowing through an asteroid hideout near Gyndine and out into the wider galaxy.
In addition to their production of Assassin droids, the Twilight Foundation has embarked on a massive conspiracy to infiltrate several galactic governments and turn public opinion their way. Citizens should be vigilant and distrustful of unsubstantiated claims favorable to Twilight Foundation sources. The populations of the Triumvirate Coalition should be especially on edge as GenSci operatives have observed Triumvirate Navy A-wings carrying out covert surveillance and attempted infiltration of a GenSci Research Station located near Alderaan.
In conjunction with this Triumvirate Navy force, Pirate King Squall Chitose led a party into the GenSci station, past security measures, and absconded with valuable research data that was leading to a process that showed promise in halting the Metamorphosis Plague that has beset the galaxy in recent years. Chitose, despite deceiving GenSci Security onsite, was recognizable on security holocams due to his famous Mandalorian Armor. Bizfan Sci, in a live press conference earlier today, attempted to allay fears that the research would be substantially sidetracked, saying: “The loss of this data was only a minor setback, and we will be collecting replacement data from our control groups of patients in the coming days. We believe the treatment that is in trial will be effective and efficient in its eradication of the Metamorphosis Plague from the host. Unfortunately, early trials have shown that disfigurements will remain.”
The New Republic declined to offer comment on the use of its restricted technology by its ally in order to benefit the Twilight Foundation, which has been labeled by various galactic security experts as a terror group or destabilizing force.
The second founder of the GenSci Institute, Niko Gen, speaking at the conclusion of today’s press conference, gave an impassioned plea for support. “The peoples of the galaxy have a clear choice to make. They can live in a galaxy in which legitimately recognized governments collaborate with known and dangerous pirates. Or they can live in a galaxy free of plague and disease. GenSci finds itself outnumbered and outgunned by governments and pirates alike, but we will continue to fight for your future in a galaxy without the plagues and epidemics that have held us back these past few years.”
As Niko walked out of the press room at the end of the conference, he raised his fist above his head and shouted to the assembled holocameras, "Ride or die!"
