Thies Windu was a Corellian male who notably served alongside Jedi Masters Ava'taar Vird'rnnaa and Reajiad Nero at the Battle of Beta circa Year 4 Day 338. Together with Vird'rnnaa and Nero, Windu rallied the beleaguered Falleen defenders against Emperor Greyson Uebles' colossal invasion force but, despite their heroism, the trio was unable to stem the tide of Imperial victory. Windu later served as a key member of Rebel Alliance High Command and witnessed its transition from a ragtag resistance force into the full-fledged government now known as the New Republic. Following this transition Windu became a political opponent of Senator Corvis Orion in an ensuing power struggle within the Republic ultimately leading to Corvis Orion's loss of power in the New Republic Senate. On Year 8 Day 165, he was captured aboard the Mon Calamari cruiser Home One by Orion and his close confidant Matt Cauthon. He was subsequently murdered by Orion on Year 8 Day 329, while Edhrikor Tlakh`sar, a fellow Black Sun conspirator and traitor, stalled the frantic Republican search efforts for Windu. Thies Windu was posthumously awarded the Kalidor Crescent and Rebel Heart on Year 8 Day 339.
