Early Life

Born in a lab as a test subject for genetic experimentation, Stella never knew her biological parents. She is part Diathim and part Twi’lek, a result of attempts to breed particularly force-sensitive individuals. Whether this was successful remains to be seen.

Her captors were conducting unorthodox experiments with the force, for reasons unknown to the young Diathim. Stella grew up in the lab, where she underwent regular tests and experiments, mainly efforts to bring out the force in her. The tests were mentally and physically draining, often involving hypnosis, sensory deprivation, electroshock therapy, and other forms of torture.

After escaping the lab at age 12, she made her way off planet by hitching a ride on a freighter. From there she traveled the galaxy for several years, trying to keep those who could be looking for her off her tail. She eventually settled on Coruscant. Living in the lower levels of the bustling hub of the galaxy, Stella spent her days working odd jobs and learning to get by on her own.

The Resistance

In her years on Coruscant, she heard rumors of The Resistance, the private military group dedicated to fighting the Galactic Empire and Imperial Union. She had seen and experienced the toll the Empire had taken on Coruscant, and vowed to do something about it if she ever had the chance.
