Clan History

The clan Ar'Klim for the past century has been almost nothing but a mining clan. They reside in the northern most agricultural regions of Mandalore. They have been very little use in the past Mandalorian battles and wars, serving as auxiliary ground forces and logistical personal. The Ar’Klim as miners have over the generations developed a peak of physical conditioning, as well as the resilience needed to survive in the harsh agriculture of their homeland. The clan Ar'Klim prides themselves on being able to maintain such an astounding physical health and have many sparring matches to prove each other’s strength. Only recently has their intelligence began to grow with access to higher technology.

Although no members of the Ar'Klim clan have stood out in history, they begin to at the present. The Ar’Klim also, while not being particularly intelligent appear to have some innate and natural ability to create. This is especially prevalent among the ruling classes. This is one of the key features of any descendants of the ruling clans, the ability to create with ease.

The ruling family among the Ar'Klim clan has yet to change since the time of its establishment. It was established over a century ago by a Mandalorian named Sho'Kar. He claimed himself ruler of the clan and his descendants have followed in his footsteps with little resistance. The ruling family among the Ar'Klim clan are not necessarily those of the strongest and most agile warriors, but merely the most intelligent and creative. They have managed to successfully maintain control of the clan since its birth.

Clan Totem

The clan totem for the Ar’Klim is not so much an object but a belief over mind over might over enemies. They believe that the wiser ruling classes will combine their knowledge with the brute force of the working classes to create and unstoppable clan.

Clan Traits

The Ar’Klim are a secluded clan and so not much is known about them at the current time. The few warriors in the clan wear armour with orange flashes and decals. The elite warriors have the Mandalore skull-crest on their helmets. Aside from army uniform, the Ar’Klim tend to be slightly less humanoid than other Mandalorians. They have wider shoulders and are typically between 6 foot and 6 foot 10 in height. Eye colours vary between groups with violet being surprisingly common compared to the average humanoid species.

Recent History

Re-established by Aliit'Buir Verdre To, the leadership of the Aliit was conferred upon Grevendar Togl, a young chiss officer. For years he ruled Aliit Ar'Klim (except for a period of 1 year under Aliit'buir Roshan Mixiquix) until defecting from Mandalore, citing disgust at the poor leadership of Tyr DeMeer. The defection caused an internal conflict with members of the clan unsure as to which side to choose. Some chose to stay and others to leave.

Grevendar took Aliit Ar'Klim and left for the Krath Dynasty and a new home, along with all Ar'Klim holdings, assets and a lot of the members. This side of the clan rejected Tyr DeMeer and his leadership, announcing a state of Bas'lan Shev'la. 2 members remained in Mandalore: Talak Kasra and Tor Asgam. They were rejoined by Aden Canara of Black Sun, whose links with the Mando'ade group led by aspiring Mand'alor Kai Oryk was resented by DeMeer and his command, who sought and presumably still seeks to silence Canara once and for all to this day.

It is difficult to decide who rules Aliit Ar'Klim as an outsider without a view on both sides of the clan, initially united but now estranged. The systematic breakdown of the Mandalore Clan system and the smaller number of members, plus the original claim to leadership of Grevendar Togl points towards him, however Mandalore have declared him Dar'manda and as such have claim over who is the true aliit'buir. The fact Kasra was Togls 2inC and Togl himself appointed Kasra to act as the Aliitbuir in Mandalore until the clans could be re-united could swing facts either way. Kasra, nor Asgam have been heard from in recent days, and Kasra has a history of long journeys and infrequent returns.

From the standpoint of many clans, Aliit Ar'Klim has, and always will be lead by Grevendar Togl until he appoints a successor, while Mandalore only recognises Kasra. What is clear is that the Togl side has both more members, structure and assets, while the Kasra side has the support of an aspiring Mand'alor.

As of the end of Year 15, there was no longer any public dispute over the leadership, although no-one in Ar'Klim ever publicly claimed there was a dispute. Grev'endar'togl stands as Aliit'buir be Ar'Klim unopposed and fully supported by his vode. The whereabouts and activities of Talak Kasra are not public knowledge. Rumours have emerged that with changes in Mandalore, Ar'Klim may formally change their stance on the Mand'alor, having previously declared no true Mand'alor to currently exist. A triad leadership structure has once again re-emerged within Ar'Klim and it is rumoured that this is due to separated members having formally taken their positions once again.
