'''Alliance Special Operations''' (aka '''SpecOps''') was born in the bussom of the New Republic. After the merger of Sorosuub Corporation and the Rebel Alliance, the New Republic became a government in which people could enjoy freedom and the rights the evil Galactic Empire was so keen to destroy. The technology the Republic owned, its allies and its citizens contributed to make the Republic prosper. Within time, as the Republic expanded, so did the need for laws and bureaucracy. After the Black Sun coup in Year 8 of the galactic calendar, orchestrated from within New Republic ranks, the Republic became less trusting in its citizens and the posibility of infiltrators. As a result, citizens lost trust in one another. Personal hidden agendas among important public figures started to populate the Republic and the galactic war stopped being the priority.

It was then that the Traner family, which had been a New Republic supporter and served the Republic with the best of its ability, realised that something had to be done about it. Director of Center for Republic Intelligence Evan Traner along with his wife, Princess Drael Traner (who was serving as the Speaker of the New Republic Senate while being in military service as a Lieutenant of the Starfighter Command and undercover CRI agent), his older brother Zeff Traner (former New Republic Chief of State, former CRI undercover agent and current Captain of the Navy), Vonar Passik (Deputy Director of Center for Republic Intelligence, New Republic Senator and Captain of the Starfighter Command) and Admiral Faldang Lukas (Deputy Chief of the New Republic Naval Command and undercover CRI agent); decided to create a security group that would focus not only in aiding the Republic and Center for Republic Intelligence, but also in the galactic war and the defeat of Black Sun’s criminal organisation, holding the ideals and the spirit of the Rebel Alliance.

This focus was not shared by all in the Hellions and a schism formed which gave birth to the Alliance Special Operations. Alliance Special Operations (ASO) is comprised of some of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy. This band of mercenaries is largely fielded by, now, rogue members of the Dark Star Hellions. The members of ASO have therefore dedicated their lives to fighting and disrupting those oppressors at any, and all, opportunities. This fight may cost many of them their lives but it is a price they are all willing to pay. Even though the members of ASO are not a recognized partner within the [[Galactic Alliance]] they support their objectives in purging the galaxy of the [[Galactic Empire]]. While the shadows suited them as saboteurs, assassins and spies for the Hellions to fight this war they will proudly brave the front. They will do everything in its power to bring the fight to the Galactic Empire’s doorstep. No matter the cost ASO will be on the front lines fighting until the galaxy is safe from tyranny and oppression. Alliance Special Operations' sole mission is to make the galaxy a place for all races to feel safe and enjoy a true state of equality."

This security group would be called Alliance Special Operations (or SpecOps, for short) and would be directly involved with the New Republic as a Private Sector Affiliate. However, things didn’t go according to plan. Certain public figures opposed the creation of said group, manipulating the law and misinterpreting the spirit with which it was created.

On Year 11, day 179; tired and disappointed by the same government they were trying to defend, the Traners left the wings of the New Republic along with Vonar Passik and Faldang Lukas. Although their resignations were announced to the Republic citizens in the same day and in a matter of a few hours, this was a personal decision of each of them that cost the Republic five high ranking officials.

However, the spirit to do the right thing did not diminish, and the rebel group gathered to discuss the future. Convinced of carrying on with their ideals, the decision was quickly made. On Year 11, day 180; and joined by other faithful supporters of the cause; Evan, Zeff and Drael Traner together with Vonar Passik and Faldang Lukas (now members of the Alliance High Command) founded Alliance Special Operations.

Not bound by the need of lengthy discussion leading nowhere, SpecOps can take real and fast action against everyone who stands between them and true freedom and will do what it takes to fight injustice in the galaxy.
