Exarus Cade was a Corellian male soldier born and raised on Corellia in year -4 day 77. He owes his allegiance to the New Republic, in which he serves as an officer with the Republic Army.

Early Life

Exarus Cade was born into a functional and stable household in which he was given a steady and secure upbringing. Born and raised in the suburbs of Corellia, Cade enjoyed a relaxed, care free and safe childhood typical of boys his age in his area. His father was a celebrated military veteran turned entrepreneur and in his later years earned his family's fortune by repairing and selling old speeders. Cade's mother was a nurse practitioner by trade, a skilled medic that took great pride in tending to the wounds of those in need.

Despite the great fortune and luxury he had been born into, Cade from an early age had felt stranded, and instead of counting his blessings wished for a life of fulfillment and excitement. Later, this would evolve into an unwavering sense of duty and ambition. This led him to a career of service with the New Republic.

Republic Medical

At first, Cade had yearned to make a living similarly to his mother. He enrolled with Republic Medical in hopes of pursuing a career as a paramedic. Having gone through the academy with exceptional grades, Cade's future with RepMed looked to hold great promise. During his time at the Medical Academy, Cade was instructed by Doctors Huw Roon and Gile Landala, both of which he would come to develop great respect for. The two had given him an introduction to the Republic that armed him with great confidence and satisfaction in his decision to join. In the end, he had aced his exam and passed with flying colors. Cade would later look back on his graduation day as 'the good old days'. It was also the last time he would see many of the friends he had come to love and admire.

Despite showing great promise as a medical student, Cade had spent much of his time in the company of soldiers during the BMC. While a career in RepMed was a noble one, Cade quickly realized that his was a soldiers family -- he was born to fight and serve, and would ultimately be of better service to the New Republic in a combat capacity. Because of this revelation, Cade made the necessary arrangements and transferred to the New Republic Armed Forces, where he would come to enjoy a prosperous military career.

The Army

Upon enlisting with the military, Cade flew through the required military courses with relative ease and eventually rose to an officer position. On year 18 day 292, Exarus Cade was sworn into the New Republic Armed Forces as a 2nd Lieutenant with the Army. In his later years, Cade would look back on this day as 'the beginning of his story'.

Because of his medical proficiency, Cade was invited to to the military's MedCorps to serve as a Medical Officer, an offer which Cade had gleefully accepted. Additionally, he was assigned the "Master Medic" ribbon in recognition of his prowess as a medic.
