Pelgrin is a planet in the Outer Rim. Over two million years ago, an indigenous species built the Oracle of Pelgrin on the planet, a merging of technology and the Force. The indigenous species went extinct, leaving many mysterious ruins and artifacts. Around 3000 years ago, Jedi studied the Oracle of Pelgrin after the Jedi Council detected a tremor in the Force emanating from Pelgrin.
Following this expedition, the world was given to the Jedi by the Senate, over the objections of interested xenoarchaeologists. About thirty years ago, a band of pirates attacked Pelgrin and massacred the scientists and Jedi resident there.
