Early Life

Raddu was born "Raddu Algsab" to Bansha and Wog Algsab, Year -8, Day 243. She began life in Pau City, the capital of Utapau, where her father worked as a laborer. When her older sister, Mokee, was old enough to work, she too became a laborer. Every night Mokee and their father would return home exhausted, going straight to bed. They would leave first thing in the morning to go to work. Raddu was told that all Utai loved to work more than anything else, but she still missed her father and sister every hour they were away from home.

Raddu's younger brother, Emgob, was born only a week before Mokee was killed in an accident while working. Her sister's death sparked a fear in Raddu that changed the course of her life. She began to argue with her father every morning for him to stay home. She became unhappy and restless; often leaving home to wander throughout the city. And when she grew old enough to go to work, she stubbornly refused. Months of arguing finally convinced her to become a laborer alongside her father.

The young Utai planned to leave Utapau someday to find a better life. She often talked to her mother of these plans, and anyone else who was interested. She was overjoyed whenever she found a foreigner in the city, and would pester them with questions of the outside worlds. Her labor became the means by which she planned to leave her homeworld. And after many years of hard work, Raddu finally saved up enough money to do it.

She chose to travel to Pesmenben III to join the Triumvirate Coalition. She was attracted to their ideals of freedom and equality. And though her family and friends warned her not to go, she felt she had to do it. She had not realized how much she loved Utapau before she was faced with leaving it. But in the hopes of finding a more fulfilling life, she had to say goodbye. In honor of her sister, Raddu changed her name to Raddu Mokeur.

Career

On her birthday, Year 14, Day 243, Raddu Mokeur arrived on Pesmenben III. She enlisted in the Triumvirate Academy that same day.
