Introduction

The Syniclus Sect was a group of Dark Side force users estimated to have been around -2,500 BCGT to -2,450 BCGT. The Sect is considered to be one of the more volatile groups of that time, creating chaos and anarchy across the Bosph Sector of space including also Aparo and Wyl sectors of space. Their place of origin were in Otunia I where no atmosphere is currently present though it appeared to have an atmosphere in the past.

History

Sith Academy Civil War

The Syniclus Sect was founded after a civil war erupted in a Sith Academy in the Bosph region. Lord Fumasu was the Sith Lord in charge of the facility to train students of more importance, effectively a school for the more elite as it was a very selective Academy. At that time also, two men were underneath his command whom are known now as Lord Ki, Lord Nine and Lord Aphotic, both whom helped teach students at the academy. Aphotic was Fumasus second in command in most peoples eyes, also effectively handling the Academy when he was away while Ki was one of the head instructors of the Academy, teaching the Dark Side of the Force. Not much is known on Nine other than the male was a battle instructor for Syniclus and possibly the primary instigator for the civil war. Two years prior to the outbreak of the civil war, Syniclus along with a fresh batch of students arrived at the Academy, many whom would not survive the training. After a year of training, Syniclus opted to stay to take charge of other students but was secretly planning a riot to overthrow the Academy into utter chaos. Students he recruited whom known only by title has been Xendor, Xeric, Khan, Fury and Tigeress. After ten months, Syniclus group has taken a small charge of the the Academy and effectively started a riot to overthrow the current Sith Lord Fumasu. The riot failed and Syniclus was brought to trial for his actions with the rest of his students were spared and placed under Lord Ki's watch. During this time, it is unknown what caused Lord Ki to turn as he was considered the most loyal in the Sith Academy to Lord Fumasu but in the end, turned against him by the time of the trial. Lord Aphotic was in charge of interrogating the prisoner Syniclus and in turn, was turned on Lord Fumasu on the condition of owning his own section of land and expanding the influence of the Sith rather than staying in one location and sending their students to slaughter. By the time the trial came underway, a month later did another riot occur but this time instigated by Lord Ki as most students followed him and in turn, killed a majority of students that opposed Syniclus's group with Lord Fumasu also struck down minutes later from Syniclus and Lord Aphotic. Within two weeks, the Sith Academy was dismantled and reformed into the Syniclus Sect while restructuring the old Academy into their Enclave building.

The First Years

The Enclave was rebuilt within the first two months and the current students that remained were trained in the art of warfare. The Sith sects of the current time disapproved of what occured and sent an envoy to convince them to go their way. Three heads were shipped back to Korriban with the intent being that they were no ones puppets. Within half a year, an agreement was reached that a tax be enforced with whatever they produced in credits however it was made to make the Enclave bleed within two years. Within one year, they conquered the sector and was able to balance out the tax before moving on towards to the Aparo sector. The year was celebrated in the Enclave yet it was also in horror as later in the evening, Empress Tigeress mysteriously vanished from the party. A month later, she was found shackled to a pillar far away from the Enclave, stabbed in the chest with a lightsaber with the body just rotting. There was a massive funeral to where she was buried and mourned for by Emperor Syniclus. After the funeral, a massive investigation occurred but no one ever found the killer and been believed to been at least one of the founders themselves. After another year passed, they were starting to go into the Wyl sector of space with Lord Khan and Fury leading the way. On this time, Lord Abbas was christened as their first Lord brought up by the Syniclus Sect personally with Lord Xadrian following soon afterwords. Around the fourth year, a quarter of the Wyl sector was conquered and was proceeding to go further until a shocking event occurred that stopped the expansion in their tracks.

The Era of Betrayal

In the same year, a student came into the Syniclus Sect and was personally trained by Lord Ki, seeing potential in the student to be his successor. Emperor Syniclus also had his eyes on this new student and in the fifth year, decided to train the new student named him Necrid which within the year, became Lord Necrid. For two years, he showed potential and power beyond what most people at the time anticpated from him. Being lead into the front lines, he helped conquered one of Wyls greatest trading centers, effectively controlling trade in that small region of space. However it was at this point that Lord Necrid turned around and attacked the Syniclus Sect, killing off and converting well over twenty percent of the war force in one swift move. Having also control of half the war ships, they proceeded a war path back over to Orthis I to dismantle the Syniclus Sect. Within several months, he had killed Lord Terminus and nearly killed two other high ranking Sith Lords among with killing several thousands of troops. The war ended after Lord Xeric, Lord Fury and Sage Ki boarded Necrids flagship at the time named the Nino and killed Lord Necrid however the consequences of their actions resonated throughout the Syniclus Sect. Lord Xeric was severely wounded and was in a coma for the next two months while Lord Fury started to question the leadership qualities of Emperor Syniclus. Sage Ki however became severely ill from the fight and with his mind weighed in guilt, left the Syniclus Sect in self-exile. Lord Abbas also left and was deemed the rank of Sage if he was ever to return however he never returned.

The End of Syniclus Sect

With their numbers dwindled to twenty-five percent their original capacity, they decided to hold the worlds they had and replenish their numbers before going out in the galaxy again. However this drew ire from Lords Fury and Khan whom saw the opportunity to get worlds beyond their control and succeed. They lead an uprising in their fourteenth year to overthrow the Emperor in their own Enclave which lasted for two whole hours till Lord Fury along with twenty percent of the Enclaves population were killed in the onslaught. Lord Khan delivered the killing blow against Lord Fury though records never showed what made him turn on his close friend and ally however for his actions and possible redemption, he was cast out of the Syniclus Sect to Mid Rim and was told to never return. Students also started to leave and one student in particular started to rise in power rather quickly for his brash and ruthless actions by the name of Lord Vandrall. Lord Vandrall had a huge influence on the students at the time and seduced them with ideas of grandeur to which another uprising started in their sixteenth year. At the end of the fight, numerous Lords and students were killed with an estimation of sixty-five percent of the population killed. Lord Vandrall was captured and executed in public his remains buried in an unmarked gravestone far away from the enclave. With the Syniclus Sect in shambles, people abandoned it in droves and mass executions were permitted however in the end, even the Lords have left the Syniclus Sect and left Emperor Syniclus behind to be the only one remaining. While Emperor Syniclus attempted to pull back up the name of the Syniclus Sect, it never occurred and years later, he was poisoned and killed by an unknown assassin, effectively ending once and for all the Syniclus Sect.

Biographies

Sith Academy Lords

Darth Fumasu

Although his true title was Darth Vectis, he preferred being called Darth Fumasu and only those with proper permission could address him as Darth Vectis. A master of lightsaber combat and martial arts, he would most often when visiting a classroom to challenge four to six students to a lightsaber duel without a single lightsaber, only to defeat them with his bare hands. After his death in the Civil War, he was buried in an unmarked tomb yet later in life he was properly buried in a tomb near Korriban.

Lord Bronte

One of the Lords present at the trial for Syniclus. A former second in command for Darth Fumasu, he found a falling out after having conflicting thoughts on how light saber combat should be taught and was later cast aside. Lord Bronte would later join the Syniclus Sect but only after the fall of the Sith Academy. Lord Bronte was assigned as Battle Master and trained students willing to go to war and had no further role in the Syniclus Sect. After Lord Khan and Fury attempted uprising, Lord Bronte left to live a peaceful life and question his morality. Lord Bronte is recorded to have found the Jedi and in turn, went into Exile for his actions. No tomb has been found and no death record has ever been found.

Lord Nine

There is almost no information on this person other than his significance on Emperor Syniclus turn to the Dark Side. Supposedly, he gave the philosphy and knowledge to lead while also grooming him as his replacement. Nines fate is as mysterious as his name for he vanished right before the civil war erupted. Rumor was that he used Emperor Syniclus as a puppet though it was quickly proven wrong.

Emperor and Founding Members

Emperor Syniclus

The leader of the Syniclus Sect and head of the Dark Council when formed. A master of the one handed blade and Form VI Djem So, he has more than once went out into the battlefield to conquer his foes alone and succeed where others have failed. Considered the main driving force of the Syniclus Sect, he had lead conquests in the Aparo region and later let his Lords do the rest of his work while producing an heir to the throne. Having four wives whom the first is recorded while the rest has not, Tigeress remains the only Empress on record. Following the fall of the Syniclus Sect, he was discovered to have died from acute poisoning after a meal as it is suspected to been done by the Jedi themselves but most have believed the Republic caused this though others have been considered, no assassin was ever recorded for this action.

Empress Tigeress

The Emperors fabled wife as not much is known on her. Considered equal in combat strength to Lord Fury, Empress Tigeress has remarked by the time of her disapperence an impressive kill record against the Jedi as seen in her lightsaber collection yet only used her staff lightsaber. Early on in the Syniclus Sect, she mysteriously vanished before turning up killed outside a month later from a lightsaber wound. No one ever found the killer and she was buried in her tomb shortly afterwards with everyone in attendance.

Darth Aphotic

One of the two that were already Lords from the Sith Academy, Darth Aphotic took mantle of being Syniclus second in command and followed his orders to the letter. Of the two, he appeared to have more restrained strength compared to Syniclus whom used brute force for his tactics. Darth Aphotic has been credited for training students after Sage Kis self-exile along with formulating most of the battle plans for ongoing conflicts in their region. Before the fall of the Syniclus Sect, he was apparently growing ill from an unknown sickness and shortly after the fall of the Syniclus Sect, went into self-exile. There is no death records on file and historians believed him to have moved somewhere close to the Wyl sector though it is unknown.

Lord Khan

Lord Khan was a quiet student yet also one of the deepest to fall into the Dark Side. Upon taking over the Sith Academy with Syniclus, he personally executed anyone that refused to follow orders and effectively soon after was made of the three heads of Syniclus Sects armies. Considered ruthless, he has burnt down multiple cities and ordered mass executions just in the effort to show the power of the Syniclus Sect. Before the fall of the Syniclus Sect, he and Fury were cast out of the Dark Council and the Syniclus Sect which in turn caused a minor civil war inside the Syniclus Sect. Khan was spared in the end and exiled only for being the one to end Furys life, set out to the mid rim and told not to return. Lord Khan was never found by authorities for his actions until his death several decades later and former people of the Syniclus Sect took his body in secret and buried him in his tomb on Orthis I. Lord Khan in the historians minds deemed him the sole reason why the Syniclus Sect expanded into the Wyl sector with two planets under his sole control.

Lord Fury

Lord Fury is considered by historians to be the blunt instrument of the Syniclus Sect. Although not as ruthless as Khan, he had a taste of war and bloodshed which caused a minor rift between some of the council members. Being Emperor Syniclus own weapon, he ordered him to lead the battlefields personally and has commended him numerous times on his blood lust. When the civil war occurred inside the Syniclus Sect, caused by Lord Fury and Lord Khan, he fought and nearly killed Lord Xeric in a duel before being struck down by Lord Khan himself from behind, killing him instantly. Afterwards, his remains were put on display for a full year in the enclave to show what happens to those who could not control their lust for blood and soon afterwards before the fall, was placed in his tomb and sealed. The tomb has been rumored to been sealed with the Force to ensure his ghost never leaves the tomb to wreck havoc on the planet.

Lord Xeric

Lord Xeric was an unusual character as most of the Dark Council never meets him in person. Considered the intelligence backbone of the entire Syniclus Sect, he handpicked only half a dozen students to train into being assassins and his personal operatives. Credited for causing a riot early on Orthis II gas giant production stations, he quickly placed political leaders to gain the control for their Sect. While not being as skilled fighter, he was a master of the Force, mainly in illusionry sith magick. After the Syniclus Sect fell, no one could find and was considered missing until his body mysteriously turned up in his tomb with the doors open. Most believed he walked in, laid down then died. Considered a man of a hundred visions, he most likely saw his death and just laid down to die.

Sage Ki

Sage Ki, formerly a Lord was one of the two that was originally under Lord Fumasu's Sith Academy. After the downfall of the Sith Academy, he gained permission to take a more quiet role while still training students underneeth him. Most students of aspiring caliber were sent to him and trained to become of the Syniclus Sects finest. Considered a lightsaber duelist, a master of the Force Rituals and historian, he rarely if ever participated in combat due to his advanced age and after a duel with his former apprentice Necrid, killing him off was when he desired Exile. Granted, he went off and never returned yet when he passed away, people who remembered him placed him in his tomb and sealed it. Largely considered the sole reason why the Syniclus Sect held together near the start, he seemed to talk to students as equals as it was rare to have it occur among a teacher of his type.

Students and Lords

Lord Necrid

The Emperors Protoge as most known him for, he was first trained under Sage Ki before being trained by Emperor Syniclus. Within two years, he tried to stage his own civil war and took several planets from the Wyl system before Sage Ki confronted him after nearly killing Lord Xeric on one of their warships. The after results included a destabilization of the Syniclus Sect and a tenth of the remaining forces to either go back to other Sith Enclaves or go into self-exile. Against the wishes of the Emperor, the Dark Council voted in to build a tomb for Lord Necrid and was buried in a rather elaborate tomb. Tomb has not been found though rumored to be much further away than the other Lords had and in tradition, only be found to those in severe anger and confusion.

Lord Vandrall

Credited for actually creating the downfall of the Syniclus Sect, he was considered a very shady person and had connections to everyone in the Syniclus Sect. When the plan failed, he was executed by Emperor Syniclus himself yet the damage was already done within that month, spelling the end for the Syniclus Sect. The remains were buried without a marker, the greatest insult they could give to the former Lord.

Lord Abbas

A man whose rage knew no bounds. Trained by Sage Ki, Emperor Syniclus and Darth Aphotic, this man was nothing more than a machine ready to destroy those in front of him. The name Abbas was given to him after strangely enough, knocking up his girlfriend in the Enclave whom Darth Aphotic coined the term Abbas which stuck through the council and was christened Lord Abbas after his trials. When Sage Ki left the Enclave into self-exile, Lord Abbas was also one of the others to go with him and relinquish his life. No tomb was erected for him as he became a family man and afterwards was buried outside his home. The graveyard can still be found several miles away from the ruins, his real name Tekai Kenai.

Lord Xadrian

A quiet Sith Lord whom was taken from the Sith Academy after the civil war. Ascending to the rank of Lord rather quickly, he also gained favor with several of the founding members and was put on the Council later on in his life however his heart was not into it. With permission and with the Emperors blessing, he was went into self-exile and never returned. There is no further record other than his name underneeth a broken statue with the phrase: "We never saw all he could offer."

The Unknown Lords

These are mentioned only briefly and almost never mentioned again. Information on these people seem to be very limited so only a name may be present.

Lord Terminus

Lord Terminus was another founding member however information is lacking enough to be disqualified. There is a tomb after him and is rumored to have worked side to side with Lord Xeric.

Lady Lektus

Presumed to be one of the four wives of Emperor Syniclus, there is inconclusive information to match it up. She is buried however in one of the tombs similar to Empress Tigeress.

Lord Keravnos

No information is present other than the name.

Lord Umbra

Mentioned only a few times in the Sith Academy data logs, it is presumed to be a former second in command of Darth Fumasu. It is noted to have been an intelligence master and in the art of sith magick.

Unique Geography

The planet itself is made of Ice and consists of several natural volcanoes which is rumored to be where most of their tombs have been hidden away. Near their enclave, several sharp pillars of ice are protruded out, as though this was a natural ice formation. No other information has been found though one of the tombs currently found, a Lord Khan is currently being investigated.

Artifacts to be Recovered

A list of artifacts below from their proper owners at the time of the events. These have not been found and once found, will be put below with their new owners.

Artifact of Emperor Syniclus

Memory Stick

Not being able to create a holocron in his time, he put his thoughts on what a Sith should be in a Memory Stick, a cyclinder based object to put into older model datapads. Only one of them exist and is rumored to be buried with him in his tomb.

Artifact of Empress Tigeress

Locket of Insatiable Seduction

A rumored Sith Artifact, this locket allowed her to change her appearance just enough to make the opposite sex be attracted to her. However after her death, the locket was apparently vandalized and the Sith Magick it once possessed is no more. This locket is apparently in the tomb still, waiting to be taken.

Artifact of Darth Aphotic

Mask of Darth Fumasu

After being killed in combat from Lord Aphotic and Lord Syniclus, Lord Aphotic took the mask of Darth Fumasu and kept it as a keepsake to remind him of all the hardships he had to endure. After Darth Aphotics death, the Mask of Darth Fumasu has circulated constantly across the galaxy though who has it now remains a mystery.

Artifacts of Lord Khan

Battle Plans of Dostra

Sector plans for invading the system of Dostra, explaining the terrains of multiple planets and the wild life and what to expect in natural defenses. While outdated now, it gives an insightful look of Lord Khans mind when invading a system of space.

Artifacts of Lord Fury

Battle Banner of the Jedi

Not much information is present but it was presumably taken from a Jedi Stronghold near the Wyl sector. The banner is told in legend to hang over the entrance of Lord Fury's tomb to warn Jedi of his power, even in death.

Furys Armor Fragments

Consisted of primarily the hardest durasteel found in the galaxy at the time, it also had three distinctive jewels that symbolized each part of the armor. The armor was made special as it reformed the armor after each hit, imbued with Sith Magick. Rumors exist that if all three jewels were found, it would refix the armor to what it originally was before it was destroyed. There is no records of where the jewels are at now.

Artifact of Lord Xeric

Cloak of Lord Xeric

It has been rumored that the cloak was imbued with Sith Magick so his power in Pre-Cognition was multipled. The cloak now resides in Lord Xerics tomb, in a glass case.

Artifact of Lord Vandrall

The Lies of Emperor Syniclus

A holorecording of his personal thoughts against the Emperor at the time. Most believe it was fabricated and the students forced to bury him also buried his holorecordings though accidentally they buried the one incriminating holodisk with his body. They let it remain buried since no one could find the burial site due to a snow storm however some note that his burial site had a rather narrow stone pillar near it.

Artifact of Lord Nine

The Truth

The artifact has only been known as The Truth. There is no knowledge except from an old holorecording found in the ruins of the Enclave. The message spoke that Nine had left a message to indicate the truth and meaning of the Syniclus Sect though that was all that could be uncovered. Historians hope that uncovering some of the tombs in the area may shed light on what The Truth is.

Artifacts of Sage Ki

The Lore Book

The book is considered to be all the writings of the Syniclus Sect since it started along with his rituals. It is buried with Sage Ki in his tomb, most likely still clutching onto it.

Scepters of Knowledge

Four of these were created for people he trained, allowing them to see the knowledge that the Lore Book contained without being near it. However, if it was not attuned right, it could kill the wielder when held to long. The people who have it now are Emperor Syniclus, Lord Abbas, Lord Necrid and Sage Ki. Each one is in each persons tombs except for Abbases whom is lost as legend spoke that it was cast into a volcano before leaving the moon forever.
