Kana Okino, full name Okino'kana'vrosh, is a female Chiss born on the planet Csilla. Born into a wealthy family, Kana was groomed to be the heiress of her parent's fortunes. Her lifestyle of seeking thrills, debauchery and danger soon brought her into conflict with her family and she was ultimately disowned and written out of the will. Kana took to the stars as her escape, carrying on as she left off and finding enjoyment in both thievery and smuggling.

Biography

Okino'kana'vrosh was the eldest child of Okino'kuri'vrosh and Okino'enika'vrosh, heads of the Okino family. The Okino family were a well respected house with a history that stretched back a number of centuries. Kana's father Kuri had been an Admiral in the navy, whilst her mother Enika was a well-regarded diplomat. Not long after her birth, Kana began her typical strict Chiss education of duty and discipline, being raised like a lady in order to inherit the Okino fortune. She found the constant berating and the rules boring and frustrating, wishing for a more fulfilling and entertaining life.

As she grew older she began to demonstrate a more rebellious streak, blatantly going against the wishes of her father especially. She would frequently sneak out of her family's estate to attend parties or get into trouble with local undesirables. Kana found herself enjoying thievery in particular, and she would often quietly break into buildings and compounds just to see if she could. The danger and the excitement was almost an addiction to the young woman and she would typically work with a group of other like-minded Chiss to steal things like jewels, artwork and artifacts. Things continued going smoothly for Kana until her and a few others made an attempt to rob a well-protected bank on Csilla. During the heist she was betrayed by a member of her group and arrested by the authorities. Whilst her parents were able to use their influence to get the charges dropped against her, they ultimately disowned Kana and wrote her out of the family will. Banned from her family's estate and forced out on her own, Kana took to the stars and continued where she left off. She would take odd jobs as a smuggler in order to finance her lifestyle of carousal, debauchery, danger and excitement, as well as keeping an ear to the ground for any worthwhile heisting targets.

The Blood Razors

Not long after Kana had left her homeworld, she was contacted by the Weequay Rar Lunko. He took an interest in her, and offered her a place in a new Swoop Gang he was founding known as the Blood Razors. On Year 17 Day 220, Kana joined on as one of the first founding members of the organization, and Rar was helpful in teaching her about her new roles and what the galaxy had to offer. The Chiss aimed to prove herself to her superior however she could, as she wished to impress and make a name for herself in the group. Things took a turn for the worst however, as on Year 17 Day 261 Rar Lunko arrested her, though she was not given a reason for this until after spending four days in an abandoned warehouse. The Weequay accused her of spying for the Zann Consortium, a claim she adamantly refuted, believing him to be paranoid. Kana attempted to defend herself to him, showing logs of any messages she had received from affiliates of Zann. Kana theorised that perhaps she'd been framed by the group to take the fall for someone else, but neither this nor evidence of her defection could be completely proven. On Day 267, six days after her imprisonment she was informed by Rar that she would not be killed. Instead, she would either be sold off to somebody or left alone in an empty escape pod, drifting endlessly through space.

Personality and Appearance

Kana is something of an adrenaline junkie, living her life in search of dangerous situations and taking each day as if it were her last. An outgoing, outspoken girl, she can usually be found passed out on the tavern floor after a long night of dancing and drinking, or hosting excessive parties for all to enjoy. Kana often founds herself at odds with the law keepers of the galaxy, finding that many rules that people enforce usually get in the way of her fun. She can be narcissistic and arrogant at times, a remnant of her Chiss nature. She is not fond of settling down and frequently travels from place to place when she is bored.

Kana keeps herself well kept and well groomed at all times. She wishes to look good whatever the occasion and at times will spend more time getting ready than actually attending the event itself. While it is usually obscured by her hood when she is working, Kana possesses jet-black hair. It is typically kept at shoulder length but she has on occasion been known to let it grow longer. Her red eyes, blue skin and sharp features are typical of Chiss, along with her lithe frame.
