Aliit Varad was not a real Mandalorian clan, the clan was a cover for Tsis Tvarka Reborn agents to infiltrate and sabotage The Death Watch. After discovering the truth of the fake Clan, Peter Max led an operation that resulted in the death of their leader Salvatore Vito Falcon.
