Symbol used by The Order of the Great Atonement

Elabrium is a religion that propagates the belief of another universe, a ravishing evernew place called The Void where everything that one could become or ever was exists. It is also the birthplace from which the Universe came into the existence. The religious organization that governs it is The Order of the Great Atonement. Religion describes that everything in life should have a equilibrium, and through the creation and destruction one could archive it thus reach the enlightenment. The beliefs and religious texts have been gathered in a single book called The Book of Atonement.

Followers of the Elabrium

The followers are called the Atoned ones and they believe that everything in the universe is a manifestation of the Void, a greater cosmic realm. They see everything that exists to be antagonistic to the natural state of how the universe should be, and that only order will be archived when the universe is fully equalized in state of being. Through actions of creation and destruction they are seeking to find the tuning that would make the Universe to be ‘’atoned’’ with the Void. The movement was founded by a secretive nomadic society that traveled for huge amounts of time in ships with conventional drives. The movement’s origins can be traced back to the days that followed after the end of the Great Hyperspace War.

The Book of Atonement

The Book of Atonement, consists of 100 tomes in regards of what the Elabrium is based on, and how should its followers seek the enlightenment. It also includes brief history of how the order came to be, its struggles and predictions of the future. It was supposedly written by a person only known as the Plane Walker, who is believed to have gone to the Void and returned to tell of the purpose, the one meaning that the universe has.

Excerpt from The Book of Atonement

‘’I stepped upon the hollowed plains and wept joy and sorrow as I saw my Universe birth and eventual dead. I felt like I was all over the time and space and at the same time in one place at once. I saw of what I could become or what had become of me. It showed me how to reach the atonement, how to find the equalizing moment that would transcend and be felt throughout the every moment both in my past and future. It was then when the Void gave me the purpose and at the same time took it away. It sent me back and I obeyed.‘’ The Plane Walker, on his journey to the Void.

Beliefs

Tomes of the Void, tell that before the creation of the Universe there was the Void. The Void is believed to be a cosmic realm of utter nothingness and at the same time of everything. Before this Universe came in to existence, there was a quantum state in the Void were everything that could exist, existed at the same time and space. This state created the utter nothingness, as there was equilibrium of paradoxes that resulted in total null state. When the equilibrium was lost, the Void tried to return it so an excess space - a new universe came to exist to equalize and reach the null state again. Every time this happened, it resulted in the birth of a new Universe that was in some way still connected to the Void through the cracks in its space. These cracks or veils are a space-time rifts that manifests some aspects of the possibilities in the Void in the created Universes.

These cracks in the Universe, manifests themselves inside of everything even in the living things. They become themselves part of the fabric of these cracks, living conduits that are the gateways of Veil. It is believed that only those who will cross over the veil that separates both realms will achieve the true enlightenment of the life, Universe and the true purpose.

When enlightenment is reached, it brings one closer to the Void. It gives enlightened one the chance to step on upon the hollowed plains and weep joy and sorrow in seeing the Universe birth and eventual dead at the same moment. To feel the rush of all the time and space in a realm where those concepts doesnt exist, and see all the possibilities of one self in the various quantum states of the Void. Eventually leading one to transcend the boundaries of the mind and become one with the Void

Creation of The Order of the Great Atonement

Excerpt from The Book of Atonement

It all began in The Hundred-Year Darkness, a conflict that began 7000 years ago and lasted for hundred years. It was a struggle between Jedi who held opposing ideologies and it began three years after the Jedi had split leading to the Second Great Schism. After decades of fighting, the Dark Jedi lost the war. Rather than being killed, Dark Jedi were sent in exile, and during this time they discovered Korriban, were they found a new order, a new empire on basis of one day returning and having revenge. They casted down the title of being a Jedi and called themselves the Sith.

Time followed and wounds were healed or forgotten. The Old Sith Empire, grew and became a rich and powerful empire but so did the Old Galactic Republic. The Old Galactic Republic had grown and expanded for many generations, encountering no worse than a few interplanetary squabbles and civil wars…but if it should confront the fabled Sith Empire, that was uprooted by the Dark Jedi descendants, it would experience a war so great, so devastating…it could cross the fabric of hyperspace, and send the ripples in time and space that could be felt today.

The war came to realization and it brought what it promised. Millions were lost in the conflict that encompassed the entire known space, though the main forces focused their attention on three Old Republic worlds, and later took the war to the remote star system Primus Goluud, and the Sith mausoleum world of Korriban. When the Republic's armadas regrouped they annihilated the Sith Empire in their hatred, by almost exterminating every trace of Sith Empire on the Korriban, leaving it to be almost barren and desolate of life.

This led to the exodus of the Sith. There were those who went on and found a new home on Dromund Kaas, the others wandered through empty space. One of them came upon a peaceful planet, of whose location is still unknown. On it there lived simple people who knew no war. Seeing this as opportunity the small band of Sith unleashed their power hoping to overcome the resistance. What the Dark Lords didn’t expect was the resolve and determination that planet’s inhabitants showed. For many years the Sith ravaged the planet, devastating it beyond measure going so far as to making the atmosphere toxic. All hopes for survival or peace were lost, thus our forefathers of the belief at first sought the exile from those who wished harm, but then they found the answer to their demise. They found calling of the Void and it gave them peace, it was then when they found their true purpose to bring the gift of The Void to everyone.
