Born Jik'Tal D'nec, Greyson came into [[the galaxy]] on Day 164 of Year -11.  His family often told him that as soon as he was born, he was shortly taking apart droids and gathering scrap metal for the clan. He spent his childhood on top of his family's sandcrawler, often staring at the stars and wondering what life would be like out thereWhen he was a teenager, in trying to fit in more with the traders that he often encountered, he adopted the name of Greyson AbramsHis family did not approve of the change and considered it a dishonor to not uphold his birth clan name.  Throughout the years, he was always infinitely curious and adventuresome, but always felt confined on his native [[Tatooine]] – the endless rolling dunes and limited selection of scrap leaving him perpetually bored.

After spending many restless and boring years on Tatooine, Greyson was presented with an opportunity to leave forever.  Jawas typically made their living by traveling around the deserts of their homeworld, scavenging damaged or abandoned droids, which they would patch up and sell on to the local moisture farmers. Their wares were rarely up to scratch, though unhappy farmers were usually unable to complain, as the Jawas departed in their sandcrawlers almost immediately after a sale.
One day, a traveling Corellian salvager visited Greyson’s clan to offer the local Jawas work as “gophers” – individuals he could send on dangerous and dilapidated planets to scout for salvage treasure – Greyson leapt at the opportunity. His father had told him that he would be exiled if he left for a life outside of the clan and would never be allowed to return. Although fearful for the future, Greyson said his farewells to his parents and his two brothers and set off with the salvager.

At first, the opportunity was amazing. The ability to not only be out amongst the stars where he always wanted to be, but to be able to collect vast amounts of scrap and be paid for it! What an absolute dream it was. It had continued this way for several years, in which time it had made the Corellian rich… until the man got too greedy.

One such disgruntled farmer managed to find the Jawas who had sold him a faulty droid-- it has exploded, damaging one of the moisture vaporators which were essential to his survival on the parched planet.  Incensed, the man demanded that the Jawas compensate him, though the clan refused. Unable to hold back his fury, the moisture farmer attacked them.  After several Jawas were killed and his clan fleeing for safety, Greyson developed a plan.  He quickly found another (knowingly) faulty droid and presented it to the farmer free of charge.  The man, sated, gladly accepted the droid but wanted to personally check it for flaws first. As the man approached the droid, a faulty power cell caused a cascading failure.  The resulting explosion heavily damaged the droid and sent razor sharp shrapnel directly towards the farmer, killing him instantly. This first detonation would be one that would send him down the path with his obsession with explosions.

He had accepted a contract to scout a dilapidated ship for a slaver clan. Upon their arrival, the salvager was murdered leaving Greyson and the rest of the salvaging crew in the hands on the slavers. Time went on and the days became a blur of nothingness. He had been taken into slavery, forced to work long days without break, food, or water. Many of the others taken did not last as long. The more the years came and went, the more Greyson had failed to look for hope and escape. Maybe exiling himself from the only home he had known wasn’t the best decision after all.

Greyson had saved his clan from certain death, but was punished accordingly for breaching the Jawa way of non-violence. Though he had rescued his clan, Greyson was banished and sentenced to make his own way to civilization. A bitter Greyson took his only worldly possessions, as well as what meager credits he had, and walked out into the desert not knowing quite what to expect.
While toiling away in some long forgotten undercity, salvaging for whatever bits he could find, explosions tore through a street close to him. In the ensuing chaos, Greyson found his opportunity to escape! He hid away in an abandoned building watching the events unfold. Apparently, the slavers had taken a member of a gang and his friends had come to take him back! What a fortunate turn of events!

Grabbing bricks and anything else he could find, he began attacking the slavers who had, for so long, tortured him. The gang that had helped liberate him, albeit unintentionally, realized what had been going on with the slavers and decided to free them allThe gang gave the salvaging crew a lift to wherever they needed to go.  Greyson chose to go back to Tatooine to face his family and earn back his family honor.

Biography

Early Years

Greyson was born on Day 164 of Year -11 Galactic Standard Time in the dark cluttered corridors of his D'nec clan's Sandcrawler on Tatooine. His parents often told him that as soon as he was born, he went right to work taking apart droids and collecting scrap.

D'nec Clan Sandcrawler

Growing up, Greyson was quite different than the average Jawa who roamed the deserts. As a youth, he became increasingly restless and yearned to leave his homeworld and travel the galaxy. Greyson spent most of his childhood and adolescence sitting atop one of his clan's vast sandcrawlers, examining the stars and wondering what wonders might await him should he leave Tatooine and venture into unknown territories.

Banishment

Greyson had saved his clan from certain death, but was punished accordingly for breaching the Jawa way of non-violence. Though he had rescued his clan, Greyson was banished and sentenced to make his own way to civilization. A bitter Greyson took his only worldly possessions, as well as what meager credits he had, and walked out into the desert not knowing quite what to expect.

He eventually made his way to Mos Eisley and spent what credits he had bartering and drinking in the local cantina. Lost, Greyson was desperately seeking an idea for a new life when his childhood dream came to him. Why couldn't he make a life out in the stars? Other Jawas had done it before him, some even owning their own factions!

New Life

With this new determination, he made his way to the Mos Eisley starport and started looking for ways off his barren world. Eventually, he came across a board posting for the Galactic Rescue Ops which was generously offering budding pilots transportation and beginner ships for free as part of a charity organization. Greyson boarded the first GRO transport off Tatooine and ended up working freelance transporting ships and equipment for several months.

After dabbling some in interstellar trade and being moderately successful, Gryeson applied for citizenship with the Trade Federation. Denied due to a lack of more experienced trading, the committee suggested that he join the Trade Federation to gain more skills and networks to help supplement his trading. Greyson spent several days considering if the good outweighed the bad of joining a federal government and after careful deliberation, he finally submitted his application for employment with the Trade Federation.

Career

Trade Federation

Greyson was accepted into the Trade Federation on Day 300 of Year 14 as a Cadet, the first of his kind entering looking for a Defense role. He spent many hours of intense studying and research before finally completing the Academy exam and passing with flying colors. He was immediately accepted into the Ministry of Defense as an E-2 and set right to work on being the best soldier he could be, all the while remembering the events that lead him to this point with his clan and the farmer. Greyson has aspirations of becoming Minister of Defense some day for his government and becoming the first of his kind in government for the Trade Federation.

Belltower Corporation

Greyson started the non-faction group Belltower Corporation on Day 307 Year 14. The NFG is operated by himself and close friend Cyg Naador to manufacture small ships, personal vessels, and to gain credits in a more sales oriented environment. He has no immediate plans on turning Belltower into a faction and does not currently take any orders.

Personality

Greyson is generally an easy going Jawa who, at times, struggles to prove his worth to the galaxy. He is very proud of his race and wants to educate the galaxy on Jawas and that they are more than simple desert creatures. He delights in the typical things that people of his race do; junk, droids and scrap. Due to his experience when he was younger, he has an obsession with explosions and tries to partake in them as often as possible.
