Jordanus Starscream is an Admiral and the current Secretary of the Navy, the Commanding Officer of the Department of the Navy, in the Trade Federation's Ministry of Defense. In addition, he is also the head of House Starscream - a minor noble House originally of Onderon.

Biography

Early Years

Born on the planet Onderon in the Japrael system of the Outer Rim, on Day 241 of the Year -10, Jordanus has mixed origin. His father, Ilias Starscream, was a minor Onderonian noble, the head of House Starscream, and a Colonel in the planet's Armed Forces. His mother, an elegant woman originally of Hapes, was an entrepreneur and a politician, having decided to settle on Onderon a decade prior to giving birth.

Due to this origin, the young Onderonian had the potential to achieve great things. Because of the influence and relatively big wealth of his family, he had access to the more elite schools and academies in the capital – Iziz City, receiving high-quality education from Onderon's best instructors. In the several years he had attended educational institutions, Jordanus had learned much about culture, his homeworld, the Galactic Republic and the Galaxy as a whole. In addition to this, however, he also underwent a special 3-years training regime, starting when the boy was eight, under Colonel Starscream. This training included the basics of starfighter piloting and ground warfare, unarmed combat, as well as several somewhat complicated melee combat techniques. His Hapan mother, Gaeriel Starscream, also made her input on the child's future by teaching him the ropes of running a business, and the main principles of politics. Knowing that due to being an outsider to Onderon, despite the many years of living there, she could never reach the high echelons of the planet's government, she wanted to give her only son the chance to do so.

Despite eventually preferring the life of a military man to that of a politician, the influence of both his parents during his childhood would prove to be of assistance to Jordanus in the years to come.

Life in the Academy

After finishing the first stages of his education, and based on the affinity he had shown for the war craft over politics, it was decided that the twelve-year-old boy would continue his training in the Military Academy of Onderon – a decision he gladly accepted. Jordanus knew, however, that the eight years of long training course would be no child's play. During these long years his skills would be put to the test, and he would be forced to learn new ones or otherwise fail to keep up with his comrades. And for the first time in his life his noble origin, a trait some of the other cadets shared, would be of no use to him. He would have to rely entirely on himself..

The first half of the course, the standard military training all future defends of Onderon are required to undergo, consisted of military exercises, learning warfare tactics, acquiring advanced knowledge of the Armed Force's equipment. It was, although not so complicated in nature, meant to test the cadets' strong and weak sides. At the end of it they were all required to take a series of written exams, the results of which would help shape their future in the Academy and choose their path – the Onderonian Army or the Royal Navy.

When Jordanus passed his exams, and based on his noticeable skill in space combat, he was transferred to the Navy training program. Special education in space combat was offered to all cadets participating in it, including uncommon starfighter formation and capital ship tactics. Four years later he was nearing the end of his education at the Academy and had amassed enormous knowledge in naval warfare.

In the Year 10, Day 134 by the Combine Galactic Time, a graduation ceremony was held at the great hall of the Academy. It would seem though, that the joy of the graduating cadets would not last for long, as near the end of the ceremony the viewers lodge exploded, killing many of the viewers, Jordanus' parents included. It was later discovered that the bombing was organized by a terrorist cell of the Black Sun criminal cartel consisting of representatives of several alien races. This was one of the reasons behind the Onderonian's hate for criminals and xenophoby.

It took Jordanus several months to accept the fact that his parents were gone, and he was now the sole surviving member of House Starscream.
Eventually, after recovering from the traumatic event, the half-Hapan decided to join the Onderonian Military, now as a fully graduated soldier, to help safeguard his homeworld from future terrorist attacks. Because of having trained primarily in the field of Naval Command, he was assigned to serve on one of the Onderonian Royal Navy ships orbiting the planet.
His service in defense of Onderon would only continue for a year, however, as he resigned after advancing to the rank of Lieutenant. The decision to withdraw from the planet's military forces was based on Jordanus' desire to take a more active role in leading his House, ensuring that his parents' legacy lived on.

The next several months of the Starscream's life were spent in making himself familiar with the current political situation on Onderon, having missed some less popular, but nevertheless important events while in the military. Jordanus took the place of his father in the Assembly of Nobles, protecting the interests of his House and its affiliates. In addition, realizing that economical might was just as important as political influence, he created Starscream Corporation through which he could participate in trading on the Galactic Market. Slowly, but steadily, over the course of the next year this new enterprise increased the already considerable riches of House Starscream.
