Childhood and Early Years
Niera always had an affinity for technology and oddities. She studied computer science and mechanical engineering at a university in her home world, Thyferra. She aimed to be at the top of her class and managed to accomplish a straight 90% in her final exam. I was there and then that she knew a life in space would be a reasonable goal, with a position within the admirable Galactic Empire being the ultimate goal.
For now, however, she would find herself being employed at the R&D department of the now-defunct ASMI Semiconductors Limited. She was to research new findings in the security division of the company, assigned to improve both the combative capabilities of battle droids and surveillance drones and the more practical uses of astromech droids.
