The Ashuun is a Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruiser owned by Paul Luz. Luz purchased and outfitted the vessel to be the flag ship of the citizens defense force for the Hassaria system when it was under the supervision of House Arkoh. After the end of the Trade Federation's House System and Luz's retirement from the Federation itself, Paul took the warship to his shipyard in the Bamula sector to prepare it for its next phase of life. During his time with Con Semper and Arkoh, Luz had become a scholar of the force and a collector of Force-related artifacts and knowledge. At his age and with his health, it was becoming increasingly difficult for Luz to go hunting for these artifacts himself. It was also increasingly adventageous to go about his work anonymously. The Ashuun would serve both purposes. It would be home base for a crew of trained mercenary artifact hunters, so Luz would not have to be personally involved in their aqcuisition while still filling his archives and storehouses with priceless treasures to research.

After it was outfitted with some preservation and archival modules, Luz contracted Ralgadorr Bujold, a decorated commander retired from the Trade Federation navy to command the vessel and its crew. The crew itself is made up almost entirely of participants in the Arkanian-Offshoot program, as are the starfighter pilots who help defend the ship and assist in the ship's mission. Beyond its normal armorments, the ship is defended by two squadrons of Viper starfighters. Sebastian Omega leads the team trained to acquire the artifacts, all of whom were hand picked from the former House Arkoh Reclamation Corp.
