The Bounty Brokers Association was originally set up millennia ago by several enterprising individuals, who saw a market for offering bounty hunters vast hunting opportunities without the politics or gang affiliations necessary to get involved. Hunters would access their database of potential marks and go after them, bringing their bounties back in one of two states: warm or cold.

As a result, the organisation saw great wealth and success, which led to powerful competitors and government-backed operations to go after them. Despite their history being lost to the annals of time, much of the Association’s methods and business practices still live on today.

One such building belonging to the group was a hunting lodge, which went through numerous ownership changes in the years that followed, later being left derelict but with its foundations intact.

When Mandalorians settled on the planet of Manda, the building was restored to its former glory and used as a tapcaf and hunting lodge for Mandalorians and hunters alike; the building was later named Gal’morut, Mando’a for Ale Stronghold – or more colloquially, The Ale House – and soon became the hub of all the comings and goings of the hunters on the planet.

From the outset of Year 22, news of the continued increase in crime in the Outer Rim and the resulting poverty led to many groups and governments placing bounties on lawbreakers; they also sought out mercenaries that would help return kidnapped individuals.

The Mandalorian government, Mando’ade, has seen this as an opportunity to revive the once-great Bounty Brokers Association, endorsing the group and in-turn its ability to offer further employment prospects by allowing Mandalorian hunters to ‘take out the trash’.

Some of these bounties are impressive scum, too – way beyond the run of the mill. The Bounty Brokers Association has set up shop in the Mandalorian-owned tavern Gal'morut in Manda's capital city of Aloriya
