The Last Ascension is a J-type 322 Starship that belonged to infamous smuggler Tay Qel-Zrema. Originally an ordinary space transport, the Last Ascension was modified extensively by Qel-Zrema, who transformed it into what he considered a very trustworthy vessel that could get through the scans of port authorities when it came to delivering illicit goods. In year -4, Qel-Zrema, with his trusted companion Twi'lek Keth Loneeta were sent to the world of Iridonia, where they were supposed to pick up cargo for smuggling to the core worlds. After traveling across the galaxy to the Inner Rim world, the two partners in crime, were engaged by local pirates who successfully shot down Last Ascension with an seeker-torpedo that was fired by the archaic defense platform in nearby asteroid field. In desperate attempt, Qel-Zrema managed to land the ship over the rocky slopes of the planet Iridonia. Damage was severe and only on year 17 it was fully repaired.
