Ledah Van Aalst is a missing male Abyssin independent hunter. He is notable for his abnormal height and his ability to speak fluent Galactic Basic.

Early Life

Broken Beginnings

Ledah Van Aalst was born on Abyssin's homeworld of Byss. Van Aalst as a child (aged 10) was kidnapped by members of Sable Dawn and was held for ransom on Point Nadir however no payment, or communication was made. After a couple of years, leadership of Sable Dawn grew frustrated with Van Aalst's apparent lack of intelligence, and along with a wide range of other undesirable 'aliens' was shipped to be sold into slavery to the Anjiliac clan of Hutts. This effort was halted when young human renegades Joseph Phostar and Dealla Phostar to Sable Dawn hijacked the ship and travelled to Nam Chorios where they settled with the children.

Refuge

Both Joseph and Dealla had family on Nam Chorios, despite the unassuming surroundings for human settlement due to the harsh conditions of the planet the Phostar family along with other humans created a thriving ecosystem in the north west of the planet where the couple lived in a manor. This manor homed a variety of different species from infants to teenagers, over the next couple of years the Phostars would continue their covert operation on Point Nadir until its closure in the year 2 BCGT. During this time the couple would nurture their children teaching them Galactic Basic as well as integrating them into their society on Nam Chorios, the Phostars noticed Van Aalst slower development in comparison to his peers and thus spent more time focused on him.

Van Aalst would see many of his adoptive siblings come and go over the years, even those who came after him he saw leave. This was a result of Abyssin's extreme contrasting features in comparison to humans in terms of dialect as well as development however Van Aalst enjoyed his life on Nam Chorios and kept in contact with his adoptive siblings, most of who still lived in the same community on the planet. As years went by Van Aalst continued to improve his Galactic basic and his emotional control. As Van Aalst knowledge increased he started getting curious about his past and differences, Van Aalst name was given to him by the Phostars back on Point Nadir however this gain in knowledge brought rage with memories of Sable Dawn, neglect from his blood family and a feeling of less than his peers all resulting in a state of turmoil for Van Aalst challenging his lessons in emotional control and bringing back instinctual Abyssin aggression.

Red Rage

Rage took hold of Van Aalst who only saw red, reckless to his surroundings. Suddenly his purpose became clear to hunt down those who had taken him from his family and so he went to the only shipyard on the planet with the goal of hijacking a ship, and that he attempted as he boarded the closest ship to him. Oblivious with how to actually control or function the ship Van Aalst smashed down on buttons, quickly the ship locked him in the cockpit and interior lasers slowly approached Van Aalst skin. Van Aalst shouted for help and luckily for him the Phostars and his adoptive siblings had been searching for him, now aware of his location it was a race to get him out of what seemed to be a death trap.

Everyone desperately attempted to open the door but to no avail as the ship instead started firing back, Dealla used herself as a shield and backed away with the children as Joseph diligently worked on the door and communicated with Van Aalst to do the same which he did and allowed for the door to open. Joseph gave Van Aalst his hand to avoid the ever nearing lasers but as he pulled Van Aalst out his other hand was vaporised by a laser, Van Aalst let out a scream of pain as his troubled family gathered around him.

Regenerative Rejoice

Back home in their manor the Phostars nursed Van Aalst with the help of a local doctor. After a few days of wound wrapping and bedside treatment, one morning the doctor and Van Aalst family noticed the bandages on the floor yet no blood was present instead what they saw was in their eyes a miracle as Van Aalst arm had appeared to grow back. Flabbergasted the Phostars hugged the doctor and excitedly asked how this was possible, with the doctor as shocked as them noting how this was not his work and unlike anything he had experienced before.

After a few more days of rest Van Aalst reached a more conscious and awake state, where he too was shocked to see his arm regenerate. The family gathered together and rejoiced, wanting an explanation the doctor spoke with a colleague who explained the phenomenon and brought this colleague to Van Aalst and his family to explain Abyssin's regenerative abilities. Despite basic knowledge of Abyssin's the Phostars were not aware of this grand feat, later alone they spoke with Van Aalst about how his nature and past does not define him and how loved he is on Nam Chorios with parents and siblings who will always be there for him. This comforted Van Aalst and brought a new found perspective of appreciation.

Reunion

Over the next few years Van Aalst would settle into his role as 'big brother' helping his parents with his younger siblings until leaving the manor in year 24. For years Joseph and Dealla were reluctant in giving Van Aalst independence away from their care and only compromised when it was time for a number of his siblings to leave the manor, who they asked to join him in his journey across the galaxy. The group of siblings all wanted to explore the galaxy until eventually returning to their community in Nam Chorios. This, as they saw it 'holiday', spanned over several planets, systems and even sectors was paid for by the Phostars who arranged the trip after years of hearing from the pleas of their children to explore the galaxy. After several months of exploration and relaxation the siblings reached their final destination of the trip Asrat which was holding its annual Winter fest event.

As it was their final destination the group of siblings made sure to make the most of Asrat, from attending its Winter Festival to hover-skiing. On the last night of the trip they went out to a lounge to rejoice on their memories of the past few months, this was when the siblings reunited with Finnegan Phostar (their foster brother who left home aged 11). However this was the last confirmed report of the group who were involved in an altercation with one of Phostar's associates rupturing the reunion. With the last reported sighting of Van Aalst (and the others) being Day 315 of Year 24.
